    I hope your not using drywall for your sofits. Hopefully you mean cement board. Do you know if its just cost that they use suspended ceilings over a traditional framed ceiling? And the use of a central ac head unit in the ceiling is interesting. I'm guessing they don't put them in the wall because they don't want to drill holes in the block?

      @@worldadventureman drywall for inside the house, & yes cement boatd for soffits around the exterior. Sorry if I didnt mention the difference.

      @@worldadventureman they also but wass ac units in - we will have 3 in eas bedroom & one in the kitchen. The cassette type is for the large lounge/dining area of 8.5 x 6 meter so best way to ac the soace.

      @@worldadventureman The use of suspended ceiling with drywall is the standard practise here. Allows for ease of access & modifaction later if required.
