    In the 1960s a family member of mine had to carry a dead baby for over six weeks. The experience broke her mentally. She never emotionally recovered. More women will suffer like that if some of these laws are in place.

    We all need to understand that successful pregnancies are actually rare following fertilization. For example, it is estimated that 30-40% of all pregnancies end in miscarriage. These miscarriages are ‘natural’ and have nothing to do with drugs, diet or other human behaviors, but instead a reflection of the enormous complexity of embryonic development. Miscarriages will always occur and far outnumber ‘intentional’ abortions.

    This was me in 2017. I had an unplanned pregnancy and was going to carry to term. I wanted kids, but the timing was a little off. I'd just graduated college and was looking for a good job. We wanted the baby, regardless. I miscarried at 11 weeks. It was devastating and I was fortunate enough to have an OBGYN who would do a D&C to make sure I didn't have to go through the agony of doing it naturally. I could have done it physically, but not mentally. I had to get off a lot of my medications (mental health and otherwise) to even try to continue to carry the pregnancy after I found out at six weeks. If I'd been forced to try to pass it "naturally" I'm sure I would have ended up in the psych ward.
    Now that I'm trying for my third pregnancy (hopefully second living child) I'm scared to death. I've miscarried once, and I could do it again. It's a more common phenomenon than people realize. (They think it's super rare, tragic, and likely the woman's fault, when it happens twenty percent of the time. And those are only the ones we know of. Add in the early ones before a person knows they are pregnant and it's a lot higher. Genetic errors can happen frequently early in the process.)
    To be investigated after something like that? Cruelty, plain and simple. Not to mention plenty of Republican lawmakers don't even know what an ectopic pregnancy is. There was a video circulating about a congressman (from Oklahoma I think but don't quote me) who asked "why are we making exceptions for ectopic pregnancies? Don't those babies deserve to live too?" And I'm like no sir, they are incompatible with life and that woman will DIE.
    The level of ignorance on display is truly stunning. I've said it once and I'll say it again, if they're going to legislate about my body, they ought to have an accurate medical sense of how it works. If you can't get an A on a basic test put forward by a reputable OBGYN you lose your lawmaking privileges until you pass.

      I Discarded a Blood Mass as I had 2 Times prior when at age 21.
      That one was Not My Choice Physical Interaction. I thought whew, a close call finishing my 1st Year Grad School. I Did Not Know I was Pregnant at that about 5-6 Weeks. A Few Weeks later I go to the Obgyn due to Sharp Pangs on my inner Right Side Pelvic Area. She says we need to do a Pregnancy Test (1985) because that Blooody Mass may Not Have Discarded the Growth & it's Stuck Inside Your Phallopian Tube. Guess What. It Was. I had No Health Insurance & the Doctor said Hurry to the Hospital 1 Day Later for Surgery because it's about the Size of Your Thumb. Your Tube could Burst & You can Bleed To Death.
      I told My Dad I had Ovarian Cysts. My Mom probably Figured Out that I had an Ectopic Pregnancy.
      My Dad had to Pay $$ for me to be Released After the Surgery + 1 Day Stay on the Baby Ward Floor the Hospital.
      I had Major Side • Cramps age 21 to about 35 from that Tubal Ligation involving the Phallopian Tube having a Section Cut Out of it. Fortunately, they Completed the Surgery through my Exterior Canal & Did Not Have to Cut My Stomach Muscles & Enter my Body Cavity. So glad I was a Lesbian from Age 19 & No longer Menstruating Now.

      I'm going to take that step after the next kid I have because I would not put it past these guys to legislate against elective tubal ligation. They don't want to protect the unborn, they want to force women the breed. All they see is an incubator. I'm in a pretty privileged position in that I'm able to afford surgery. Most people can't. Something similar happened to me. I was probably 8 wee,s pregnant when the ultrasound revealed the lack of a "heartbeat" . I had a nonviable pregnancy and faced with a choice. My obgyn explained I could have a D&C to remove the product or I could wait till my body naturally aborted. No clue when that would be. I could be at work, at a store or at my child's school. Not wanting to possibly scare my 2 children or prolong this experience any longer, I chose the D&C. Crying in my obgyn's arms. 2 weeks later, I had the procedure that officially ended my 3rd pregnancy. Under these strict laws , would I be forbidden from doing so? Would I be forced to continue a pregnant that had no hope, Feeling all the symptoms but knowing my bad by would never be? Couldn't that be classified as "cruel and unusual punishment "?

I personally feel that every time worker in this country regardless of their job should be guaranteed at least 2 weeks of sick leave and 2 weeks vacation per year. In addition to guaranteed sick leave, we also need to allow both mothers and fathers who just had a baby to be guaranteed time off with pay as well, so that way businesses can ensure that their employees at all levels can come into work feeling their best and contributing their best physically and mentally everyday.
    Finally, I firmly believe that "Working Poor" should not be a thing! If you work full time every week of the year, you shouldn't be living at or below the poverty line in this country!

    This is entirely about control over a persons body, and government involvement in a situation that should be entirely left between a woman and her doctor. And if you disagree imagine this senario, say the roles were reversed and the legislative body on a state level made it manditory that a man get visectomy once he hit puberty to prevent getting someone pregnant until they got married and if that man got divorced he had to get the procedure done again and outlawed male contraception (condoms) and testsorone so now the man even though he can't get a woman pregnant is still unprotected from various stds and on top of that if he runs across a medical problem wherin he needed to take testosone (for whatever reason) he couldn't. IMMEDIATELY everyone would say thats government over reach and these types of decisions shouldn't be made by the government on any level and this dessicion should be left between the man and his doctor. I know there are some that will reply that its totally different because the woman is carrying the fetus not the man and some people believe that the fetus is a human life, but remember a woman can't get pregnant without a mans involvement so is it really that outragious to compare this scenario to what is currently happening? On top of which Roe V Wade already had provisions in place that prevented a woman from carrying out an abortion after a certain amount of time has passed during her pregnancy with exceptions in the circumstance that the womans life is in danger or in the incredibly rare occasion that the child will be born still born and has no chance of survival whatsoever.

    • @totalwater9431
      @totalwater9431 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is entirely about preventing women from killing their children.
      Killing an unborn child is no more 'a decision between the woman and her doctor' than killing toddlers. The former limits bodily autonomy and the latter limits personal autonomy.
      Your analogy is invalid because vasectomies impede fertility and fertility itself is not a problem.
      It's outrageous to compare the two because they are principally different: An abortions kills a human being, merely being fertile does not.
      The fact Roe V Wade has provisions for limiting the time in which an abortion can be obtained does not imply that it's analysis was correct, there is nothing to prevent newer legislation creating different provisions.
      Furthermore the limitation on the time in which an abortion can be obtained as-per RoeVWade was influenced in-part by fetal viability. Fetal viability is heavily dependent on medical technology which has advanced considerably since the 1960's. This alone is sufficient grounds to reconsider the ruling.

    • @dariusmichel4435
      @dariusmichel4435 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@totalwater9431 First and foremost there is a considerable differnce between a toddler who is by all acounts an independent life by definition and a fetus which is not. Secondly it is absolutely about personal autonomy because it is the woman in this circumstance that is undergoing changes to her body physically, hormonal, and psychologically.
      Yes we have made medical advancements since the 1960's, but not enough to justify the perameters of RoeVwade should be overturned. Child birth is still one of, if not the most incredibly dangerous medical procedures to date that can have many severe complications and consequences. For example, a friend of mine when she was giving birth to her child when exiting was sideways, doctors couldn't perform a c-section, so she had to push him out while he was sideways which in return quite literally ripped her apart, she lost copious amounts of blood and had extreme laserations in her vaginal area, and almost lost her life in the process of giving birth. She had no husband or immediate family members that could take care of the child if she had died and the baby's father was and is still is unknown, so if she had died there would have been no one to take care of the child. Fortunately she survived but now forever is unable to walk. In this situation she made the consious decision to carry her child to term because she believed it was the right thing to do, but imagine all the other women in the country who could go through a similar if not more severe situation by force because of state legislature that outrights forbid abortion. Those women wouldn't even have the option to decide for themselves wheather or not they even want to go through the process of child birth because the state has already decided for them that they must carry the fetus to term.
      Additionally, we live in a society where most women and families simply can not support bringing a child into this world because they can barely support themselves. The republican GOP doesn't offer any neonatal care, no day care, no head start, no school lunch, no food stamps, no welfare, no nothing. They're all in favor of the unborn, and obsessed with fetus from conceptiion to 9 months, after that they don't wanna hear about the damn child.
      Lastly these state legislations ultimately will not end abortion, because if a woman is really determined she will do whatever it takes to have it done even if it might mutilate her and kill her in the process. All this does is terminate safe abortion options and puts more women at risk of losing their lives. And if you are "pro-life" then you should be extremely concerned about the life of a woman who could be in danger because of this situation.

Former BF's sister used to work at a grocery store deli and informed that the deli counter employees at her chain have a number card that customers can't see, but they can, that's behind the item name plate - that is the number of days it's been sitting out. So, avoid buying deli salads or probably anything deli, if you can. Anything that sits out is at risk. Left-overs of any kind should be tossed after 3 days, general rule for everyone.

    • @gamer4ever512

I have worked in both types of deli counters and my manager in the large chain store was disgusting and I'm surprised nobody got horribly sick.

    # let's salute her because she had to tell her story about how she had her miscarriage How about for men If you rape a woman you should either get a vasectomy or it could get a lot worse back in those days you can get castrated duh 😜 painful isn't it that the government can tell a woman how to handle her body but they can't tell a man how to control his
