Sydney Airport landing

Two Singapore Airline A380s takeoff from Singapore at the same time and land in Sydney just 2 minutes apart ! You can see the first A380 taxiing away from the active runway just as the second one lands. Result: 1000 people arrive at the immigration desks in one tumultuous stampede. Miraculously no injuries were reported.

I do feel sorry for Quantas though since they continue to say that Sydney is quite a challenge getting people to and from any respectable city. Laying down a challenge to get a 22 hour flight rated aircraft really I think shows a lot of gusto for Australia. In this day and age where super long range routes may aid in congestion control with the 380 now on a downslide I fear I think things will definitely need more than the 350s ruling Delta.

I don't think a thousand person stampede is the right word. I think the outbound flight got its passengers out about 45 minutes before. Still will be a headache but I wont think it would necessarily result in a thousand people mobbing immigration at one moment.
