RIPPER VIEW! 👍 Coming in in arc around to the South of Sydney (great shot of Lake Burragorang /Warragamba Dam) over the top of the Royal National Park; left turn just out off the Royal National Park to line up with the Botany Bay East - East runway approach; Wattamolla and Marley Beaches, and the stately Royal National Park coastal cliffs, the townships of Bundeena/Maianbar, Jibbon point, Jibbon Beach and the bombora all drifting by. Going on past, the mouth of Port Hacking, and Gunamatta and Burraneer Bays, ...on past Cronulla and Cronulla Beach, over the top of Wanda Beach and green hills (used to be massive sand hills once) to the Botany Bay/George's River side of the Kurnell/Cape Solander Peninsular (and Captain Cook Memorial Reserve), over the Towra Point Mangrove forest reserve, and, yes, nicely set down on the East-West Bay runway.
Have seen this same view many times from many different approaches over nearly Seventy Years, but never have tired of seeing it.
Cronulla~Sutherland Shire /Port Hacking /Bundeena - Royal National Park, was my home turf from childhood, but have been living thousands of miles away up near the Equator for years now. But always good to see vid and pics of home turf.
    Cheers.

Beautiful scenery always from whichever direction YSSY is approached (except during severe weather which is fairly frequent here). However, it was surprising how late flap deployment commenced, after the final left turn when the runway was in sight. Is this completely consistent with stabilised approach criterion?
