Everyone always asking for more and then complain about the prices if the interior is bugging you go spend the extra 10k on something else let us be able to afford this the while longer.
because they are morons and know absolutely NOTHING about quads. no frickin manufacturer in HISTORY has or would make a 4x4 with two different size tires! idiots
Great video! The rocking back and forth while talking was a bit like being on a boat in rough waters though. Would be fine if it was the zoomed out scene but when the frame is tight its a little disorientating. LoL. Also, if they put 30's on the talon out of the gate you would notice how much that weight slows down a 1000cc naturally aspirated motor. Plus its more strain on the drivetrain. Honda plays it smart by keeping the smaller size and keeping reliability, fuel mileage, and the ability to turn down a warranty claim when someone bombs a transmission due to oversized tires.
I don't think Honda ever took the side-by-side world "by storm". Honda does so well in so many other genres but in the UTV world, they are just "mehhhh". Oh and for those of us weekend warriors that think a real "transmission" is the ticket Vs a CVT, I don't want to hear the whining when it breaks! I'll take the CVT any day of the week, I have no issue repairing a simple gearbox.......I would go Polaris or Kawi over that car 100%
I'm a honda fan . They make the best small engines ever ... but in the sxs world they are like a R/T dodge mini van ... basic and very under powered they will never have big sales or compete with polaris or can am still they add power . I mean come on a CF moto is faster
This is hilarious! Once you get the Fred Flintstone upgrade for the honda talon is still 1000 years behind everything else! Let's see if honda will wake up and get with the program!
Honda needs to get with it. In Canada the Talon is worth over 30k!!! plus taxes!! There's so many better options for that kind of money, and they're all SIGNIFICANTLY better than what Honda is offering. I can have a 170HP XP Pro for that money, a 200HP X3 for that money... A HEAVILY modified XP 1000 for that. The last one would be my choice, and it's a MUCH better built machine. Honda is out to lunch with their pricing.
Just bought a talon in Canada. The quality is better. The machine operates better. It'll keep it's value as well in Canada. And the conversion of cdn dollar to USD is why it's 34k in Canada. Also there's a Honda endorsed turbo kits for these. Go spend 45k on a turbo machine. It'll lose its value in 6 months.
@@alisheronick8763 You may want to do some math on that champ. Because the conversion leaves you THOUSANDS of dollars short. The quality isn't better, it won't keep it's value, it's a SxS for gods sake... You're making stuff up to make yourself feel better about your purchase.
Agree the Honda is built well and is solid all around. But 100 hp is way way too little, that was introduced in 2014 and was the 'thing'. Now that is about 100 too few to make sense. Also the DCT is a dated design compared to the CanAm offering, drive both and you'll see the difference. I will say the Honda shifts nice, but wimpy overall.
What you’re forgetting about the Honda engine and DCT is that good ole reliability and reputation. 🤷🏾♂️ It brings great confidence knowing that my Talon 1000X4 Live Valve won’t leave us stranded on our trails here in AZ 🌵. I’m not really knowledgeable about CanAm, but I know that Polaris (RZRs in particular) always have something breaking around here where I’m at.🤣😂 The Honda tech and mechs might be “dated”, but they’re proven. Talons might not be the fastest or have a turbo (something else that will probably break), but they’re just as capable. I expect to enjoy mine for many years/miles to come with minimal issues. 🫡 They should put the larger Gold Wing engine in the Talon though. 👍🏾 That’s an improvement that I can get with.
It will be fixed as soon as they add much needed HP. While Can-Am and Polaris are pushing 225 HP and 245 HP Honda is still light years behind in power. 104 HP. What a joke. Stock tires should be 32” now days for a trail rig. If you want 27” tire than buy a recreational UTV not a sport trail rig.
@@aknmtbr The one you maintain properly. It’s like my 2005 Ram 2500 Cummins that still runs like a top. Just like my 1970 Dodge Challenger 440 Magnum that runs better than new. If you keep up the maintenance everything will last.
Sold mine, hated the bronco busting slow driving and nose diving jumping. This would have been a good start 10 years ago but now it's aged and not well.
I had a 2019 Talon 1000R. I even raced it in the northeast. With all the changes in the SXS world, even though I've been a lifetime Honda rider, I will definitely be making the switch to Can Am. I fit better in the Maverick R, more suspension, better handling, way more power, heavier duty drive train. For the price, the Maverick R isn't the cheapest compared to a Talon, but if you bought a Talon, sunk 20k into it, it STILL wouldn't drive, handle, and accelerate like a bone stock Can Am Maverick R.
0:23 “That no one had seen before”. Uh, Yamaha YXZ1000R 2017 and updated to sport shift in 2018. Yep, it’s quite possible that Honda took a page out of Yamaha’s book.
Play Honda talon sucked in 2019 and still sucks now come still no power Steel rise like shit and interior room sucks. Do you want a non-CVT go Maverick R they got it right
who will be first....to make a sporty new full closed cabin with AC-heater, powerwindown with 200hp at the wheel with NO rubberbelt ?? kawasaki and honda ows this to all of us...
Everyone always asking for more and then complain about the prices if the interior is bugging you go spend the extra 10k on something else let us be able to afford this the while longer.
Why do you guys keep saying 27s in the front and 28s in the back? It has 28" tires front and back.

Those 27" tires don't even belong on a trail model anymore.
Agreed. I'm running 32s on a stock RMAX and they're awesome.
it doesnt have 27’s on the front. You cant have two different height tires on a 4wd. The fact that this dude doesnt know that makes me wonder
Never happened. if u know anything about quads, u know that u can’t have two different sized tires on a 4x4
I had a 21 X, i liked it but the gas pedal was very touchy
They feel like a bucking bronco but in a bad way.

Speed isn’t everything, for example it has a dct, which is much better for utility purposes unlike the pioneer.
I have the same talon what did you put the shocks on, mine beats me to death
Does Honda have anything new coming out?
Hope 2025 brings the needed updates. Then maybe I’ll buy.
Make us a new sport quad…screw these old man SxS’s!
Facts and bring back the 2 strokes. We need a 2025 TRX250R
Do you recognize the machine quieter than a cvt unit. My wife get migraines from the harmonics of a cvt unit
I thought my 2020 was worse than a cvt machine
R-Trim is great but the KraftwerksUSA turbo kits and exhausts really wakes this thing up!
No lockers?
Rear is a spool..front is a brake activated l.s.d..like Tacoma
Make the inside with more room for us taller guys. Leg jammed into the dash😢
At 6'4 ive yet to sit in a talon...that bad? I hear teryx krx has more room
@@machmslf yes, not for tall people. I’m going with a RZR turbo R.
