    Thank you so much! This was exactly what I requested and more! I now know why it was not working the way that I wanted. Everything I needed was there, but just in the wrong spot. This will make my new slides faster and better.

    Thank you, Michelle! I had messed around with this in the past, but not in a systematic way. Then, of course, life got crazy and this exploration was put aside. This will be very helpful moving forward! Thank you, too, for the hex codes!

    So I bought you Google planner and absolutely love it. I have a question though. On the weekly lesson plans there are text boxes to put each days lessons. I like to use billets, but they invent too far and hang over too far. How can I change the default for those so that every text box has the settings I want and not the one that I don’t want? I hope this is not too difficult to understand. Thanks!!

    • @PatriciaFerretti-l3k
      @PatriciaFerretti-l3k ปีที่แล้ว

      Same question.

    • @PocketfulofPrimary
      @PocketfulofPrimary  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Angela! Great question! There isn't a way to set the "default" for the indent of the bullets but you can set the indent the way you want it using the ruler at the top and then use the format painter tool to apply that same setting to other text boxes. If you need a specific step-by-steo guide on how to do this, please send me an email at pocketfulofprimary@gmail.com and I'd be happy to help!

    Thanks for a great video, Michelle! Watching it made me think about how quickly technology can adapt as more features are made available. Teaching and technology go hand in hand, as the students will become the next leaders in technology. I'm always amazed at the tech skills my third graders have already! 😁 In short, these technology tutorials are so valuable because they help us provide more resources for our students to become digital citizens and to create something of value. When they see what their teacher produces and presents, they are inspired to also use technology. I hope you have a wonderful week ahead! 💜

Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment, just as you do every week. I hope you're having a great school year so far and this weekend has been relaxing for you! 🥰🎉🖤

    Another super helpful video! I love all the Google tools but definitely feel like tutorials like yours make them more user friendly. Thank you! Is there a way to sort and organize slides and files? I noticed when you went to your drive you had just a few neat, colourful folders and I have no idea how to do that. My slides are all just chaotically there in my drive lol. Would love a turorial on how to better organize folders in the drive/slides/docs if possible.

    Michelle, Thank you for this tutorial! I know I will create my own themes now! I was wondering if it would be possible to create student notes for different units with google slides and a theme I have created. I teach high school biology. Maybe other teachers would have ideas on how to create student notes as well. I need to print and use as hand-outs for students.

    • @PocketfulofPrimary
      @PocketfulofPrimary  ปีที่แล้ว

      Aww, thank you so much for your kind feedback Angie! I'm so happy it was helpful for you! You can definitely do that... you can use slides as a blank canvas to create anything you would like. You can resize the slides to be a 8.5x11 size which would be best for printing as handouts. From there, you can design the slide theme using the steps I showed in this video to fit your needs. If you have a specific question, let me know!

    Another amazing video from you! Thank you for sharing all of your tricks of the trade! I have learned a lot from you over the years. 😁One question regarding templates, there is a # in the bottom right hand corner of the slide-building template. I typed in the year (so that I can remember when I made it!) yet it does not show on new presentations. I have not figured out how to fix this problem. Can you help me with this?

    • @PocketfulofPrimary
      @PocketfulofPrimary  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Teresa and thank you so much for all your kind words! 🥰 I'm happy you've been able to learn from my content! I would suggest adding a separate text box and typing the year in instead of typing it in the # at the bottom. Hopefully that helps!

    • @PocketfulofPrimary
      @PocketfulofPrimary  ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you in the theme builder? If you're just looking at the text box option on the main screen in slides, you won't see the placeholder option. You have to be in the theme builder to see that option.

  • @katzztheva

    What does it mean if my google slides does not have the placeholder option?

    • @PocketfulofPrimary

      It should be there... are you sure you're in the theme builder and not just looking at the regular text box option? You'll only see it in the theme builder.
