And that house is gorgeous and well build inside, lot of Nigeria buildings has shoddy fitting inside ie unalign electrical works, crook looking switches etc but that house is just perfect.

West hills mall in Accra is bigger than the Accra Mall. Apparently, the biggest in West Africa. Many others, like achimota mall, etc exist in Accra alone as well. I can understand why just a simple mall in an african country seems to surprise you. The media has molded a stereotypical perception of africa.
A friend of mine rents apartment like this one in the Eastern Region of Ghana beautiful apartment 3 bedrooms a master bedroom executive everything and guess what he pays 400 cedis a month equivalent of 100dollars. The apartments are not expensive I dont know about Accra. But it will be at least 5 times if not 10 times less than the US.

I know that flight was about 14 hours. Omg, I went in 2014 and I sat, slept, ate, stand and was so exhausted.
