      Change your own oil, which will knock off about 200 bucks on the 1st service. It will only be 100ish after you buy the filter, oil and crush washer lol.

    Dairyland ended up being the cheapest quote I could find. Was on par with my Ducati @ $1500/year. I haven't experienced vibration issues that I would call troublesome at speed, but I also came from a Ducati and the mirrors were absolutely useless, so I suppose by comparison, the BMW is 10x better. I also wouldnt trust those reliability charts, especially those going back that far. BMW had some really bad service issues during that period but is definitely a top 5 brand for reliability in current years.

    Just out of curiosity… any reason why you didn’t use the quick shifter? I noticed you were using the clutch a lot… the quick shifter is one of my favorite features on these bikes! I have a ‘24 M1000R with brentune and full akro and I’d highly recommend that setup for your bike in the future. Thats the true unlock for these BMWs 👌

      @@TwoWheeledMenace coming from a ducati the clutch feels super smooth and easy to use as well. I still mostly use quick shifter but occasionally use clutch to go from 1->2 if I am high revs to avoid any of those harsh shifts.

    Cats put out a lot of heat. That’s probably why BMW doesn’t put a belly pan so it can cool off. I’m guessing you haven’t been down before or you’d wear gloves. Klim Imduction gloves are nice summer gloves.

    There is powerband low spot between 6-8k RPM, Locked or unlocked ECU, the flat spot is there. The only way to remove it is there one of two ways, my preference is a brentune or your BMW dealer might offer a torque map. The torque map removes the flat spot but also reduces your HP to 180. Brentune will tell you that there are many BMW dealers that use their product, but there are some issues with keeping the warranty cause some people abuse the bike after the tune. My second suggestion, full akrapovic exhaust. The weight savings you can definitely feel. Great video, I feel you hit all the important points. One question I had for you, how do you feel riding in FL? A buddy of mine there who "had" a BMW S1kRR, he said he would never ride down there compared to up here in NH.

    • @TwoWheeledMenace
      @TwoWheeledMenace  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Riding in FL is definitely dangerous but I feel fine I usually stay far away from cars. Drivers down here are terrible it's mostly because of all the retires we have. People literally get into accidents here going in straight lines on the highway it's insane

      @@TwoWheeledMenace That is what I heard as well. We are looking to be down there part time in the winter, was wondering if I should bring down both of my bikes, a harley and the s1krr. I might have to initially to "test the waters". Thanks for the reply bud, have a great weekend.

    I pay $830 dollars for a full year of full coverage including gear and helmet for a 2024 BMW s1000 RR $1,200 a year that's ridiculous I have a 99% insurance rate maybe it's just because he was in Florida

    • @TwoWheeledMenace

      Ya unfortunately FL has alot of trash drivers, probably the worst in the nation so our rates are through the roof. $830 is amazing

      I would think that would make it more like an s1100rr. Thing still makes 205hp stock. It's not like its a slouch 😆

    Mirrors aren’t installed on superbikes because they’re functional, it’s because they’re lawfully mandated.

    One thing I'm super satisfied with about my new Ninja: keyless ignition, so I don't have to participate in the whole giant embroidered tag on my keys trend.
