I was just thinking about contour line and topography in Acad and surprisingly you made a video, your the best 👌 Still waiting on the coarse. THANK YOU FOR THIS.
Wonderful explanation! Thank you I learned something new today even though I wont be able to use Auto cad its to expensive this helped me understand what I needed.
HI TD. THIS IS AN AWESOME VIDEO IM HAPPY TO HAVE FOUND IT. ONE QUESTION IF ALL THE CONTOUR LINES WERE ON THE SAME LEVEL "O" BUT THE TEXT SHOWS THEY ARE AT DIFFEREENT ELEVATIONS 5FT, 10FT, ABOVE EACH OTHER HOW CAN I GET EACH CONTOUR LINE TO ITS CORRECT LOCATION. THANKS
Is the topography depressed below the 0 level and then adjusted to appropriate elevation or height, nessecary to suit the building structure or design?
That's one way to do it. Another way could be to have both the building and the topo xref into a new drawing (perhaps a view), and move house xref to the desired location on the topo xref. That way, the only things that get moves are the xref links, and not the drawing itself.
So, I’ve tried using your method with contour lines I’ve already been given, but AutoCAD won’t let me use the drape tool for some reason. Is there another way around that to get the same results?

What version of this Autocad are you using?
AutoCAD Architecture

My ACAD also doesn't accept the drape command :(.
What is at stake and can the drape command be replaced by something else such as extrude?
The 3D doesn't seem to work, could it be due to my display being too small (using a laptop)?
i was wondering what if ur a student and dont have a surveyor
I use AutoCAD 2024 but can't find the DRAPE function... have u any clue why ?
You will need AutoCAD Architecture
PleSe show to create kontur lines by knowing the levels
Sir after a long time why
I've been busy man.
