I remember back in the day [2014] I had a radio shack just down the street over the bridge before they closed their doors shortly after New Years 2015, I would come by, asking if they had 8 bit computer kits because I was soo obsessed in that beige computer with the black screen and white text display computers I wanted to build. The people were clueless on the parts I wanted to buy. But I remember passing by the Kano laptop kits when they were still selling them for 50 dollars. Wished, totally wished I bought one of those when I was 14. Wished. I Would of skipped over 7 years of pc learning if I used this as my learning machine for computers and terminals. My beat up ibm t500 with no hard drive was the one that taught me about computer mechanics and engineering and softwares and some coding.

EDIT: Just checked the price isn't bad for what this includes. I assume though that it can't do as much as a regular laptop (obviously) but this thing's really cool!

Yes, you can erase the SD card and install a different OS, just be sure its compatible.
I really dont see why this is so special. I am 11, and 3 months younger than evan. I can build a working gaming computer without the instructions in less than 1 hour. I also have the raspberry pi 3, and it is only good for gaming. It's quad core broadcom procesor might sound cool, but its not. Everyone is raving about how Evan built a computer, but he did it with instructions. ANYBODY can do anything if they have instructions. He doesnt even know about the parts! When your older and someone asks you at what age you built your first computer, please dont say 11, because this doesnt count as one!

Exactly, this was what I was thinking. Even though I've never actually built a computer myself, I've disassembled and assembled one when I was only 10 and studied the parts. If this kid was younger, I could see this being understandable, but he shouldn't get a standing ovation for following simple instructions with a premade kit.
