i remember, once, it was a big Plot Twist in _Catch Me If You Can_ when the FBI found out that our protagonist read _The Flash_ comic books, and so MUST have been a child. since he knew the name of The Flash - Barry Allan - the FBI (correctly) deduced that he was a minor. and . . . that's all i have to say about that.
It's not just that he's so fast - if The Flash can move at super speeds and he doesn't hurt himself when brushing against objects - that means no living being can hurt him with a regular punch. I feel like they do this a lot where someone just punches a speed character out of their speed with a well-placed punch to the face - but it's not just that he could dodge it - if he can even survive moving his FEET against the floor that fast without snapping his ankles then it certainly won't matter if someone hits him with a regular punch - remember the laws of physics means that every time he touches something it means he's smashing against it/tearing through it. The Flash is just a nonsensical character - they need "speed force" so that he can zip through a burning building and save people. Even though he would have SNAPPED ALL THEIR SPINES!!!
Not only that but from his perspective everything else is moving in slow motion so a Character like deathstroke shouldn't be able to land a single blow. Shit even Superman shouldn't be able to hit him.
"Superman was originally just strong, could run fast and jump over buildings" That's one of my favorite things about the Young Justice cartoon. It's a really fun show, kinda a successor to the Justice League style with the side kicks and the character of Super Boy basically just original Superman.
An interesting take on Flash and vulnerability was the comic series Young Justice and the character Impulse. From what I gather the writer, Peter David's way of "weakening" his speedster was to make him true to his name. Make him *impulsive* . Which makes sense. Overconfidence is a classic in weaknesses.
Green Lantern has manifested Green Kryptonite several times. And, Lex Luther' suit is powered by Kryptonite and based off tech from Darkseid and Apocalypes
That's why there's Reverse Flash, Savitar, Zoom. It's the only way to counter balance his speed. I've always thought it'd be a cool power, but if I'm moving at a faster speed than others, I'd assume I'd be aging at a normal rate while other's slowed down. So I've always thought for the Flash to not be OP, and have to use his powers sparingly, if he used them all the time he could be 50 when he's only 35 etc. But you know... SPEED FORCE!
or it could be that using this power quickly exhaust him. So he has like30 secs of insane speed and the rest of the time hes fast but ot insanely so...
I've always thought of Flash's powers as: Yeah, he has insane speed, and a heightened reaction rate to match it, but the reaction rate is something he has to REALLY focus on, and in some fights, he's just putting all his effort into running, not thinking.
Lex Luthor's 'Super' creates such a massive blast of energy that it engulfs what seems to be an entire State. it does about . . . eh, 1/5 damage to a 90-pound human being with no superpowers. The Joker's 'Super' in which he throws a cream pie (and discharges a small firearm) does roughly the same amount of damage to a hulking suit of armoured titatium. it's possible there are some aspects of this game that are a little, well, _silly._
A couple more DC apes (because I'm a nerd): Grod's fellow talking psychic gorilla Monsieur Mallah, who's in a relationship with The Brain, and the Ultra Humanite, a psychic talking gorilla who possesses people. Loved the stream btw~
A punch at full speed from the Flash should be incredibly deadly. All of that force delivered through the surface area of a human fist? That's pretty much super strength. I totally agree that he should be able to win any fight. Also the Speed Force is total bullshit. Flash fans bring it up every time you question the physics. It's the "God works in mysterious ways" of comics.
The only thing that still bothers me about the flash is although I am aware the speed force protects him. How did he learn to hit people while going superspeed without breaking every bone in his body... Let alone the first he was punching with...I know it's a silly thing to get stuck on considering I buy into the running at the speed of light thing... I just can't help but feel if he ever did punch someone while he was learning it would have ended badly... Where's the "I tried to punch someone one and my fist exploded" story.. s*** I'll settle for an alternate flash with a cybernetic hand shows up this one time.
Yaaay! I really hope you play story mode of Injustice 2, since I've no interest in playing it myself. Rich is saying he's no good at fighting games, but from that stream with that Jesus fighting game I remember him having an instinctual understanding of footsies, as opposed to Jack's random mashing.
Man, this game seems to really dislike Wonder Woman. Third time she's been taken out effortless despite being one of the strongest people in the Justice League.
Do you not understand that people are different? Some people will like stuff some people won’t like it. Don’t complain about the audience whenever your attempts to appease them doesn’t seem to work. IT’S NOT ALWAYS THE SAME PERSON.
They know that. They purposely give those kinds of responses because they know it will piss people like you off. They enjoy focusing on the negative and being assholes about everything. It's entertaining for us most of the time. When it gets unbearable just stop watching for a couple of weeks.
I knew that eventually Jack would have to express disapproval about Wonder Woman's breasts. He was -trained- raised well. A man for the new age. A nu-male you might say.
Titus Orelius God forbid an unrealistically busty female protagonist with super powers fights alongside a bunch of unrealistically buff/ripped men with super powers...
OnewingedAngel69 Wonder Women’s tits looked ridiculous in the scene he mentioned it, less about sexism & more jus shitty disproportionate design. She looks like a man in WW drag, with surgically implanted boulders. Different strokes for different folks I guess
"a spell that would turn someone into a frog would also turn Superman into a frog. it would not turn Superman into more of a frog." i'm paraphasing, but that's what Rich Evans said on the matter. CASE CLOSED.
i think it's such a _drastic_ waste of time, resources and yes - obvious talent on a "Story" for such a _thoroughly_ absurd game. why not spend all that time (and precious, precious resources) on, like, _double_ the game??? far more attention to detail, superior character balance . . . _whatever._ i've never played the game. i dunno if it's good. it seems fine. but it's SO dumb, the plot, that it actually to me hinders the whole thing. like, you have all these ridiculous characters yet ALSO have to find a _reason_ for them to fight each other? whatever. i'm sure it's a very successful game.

"Flash should be able to make earth crime-free in under one hour." Nope, because he can't fly and would have to travel around the world by plane or whatever.

The Flash would kill himself immediately if he could only react at human norms.

I wish Ares was in Injustice 2... that teleport/cloak and the ability to just spawn weapons out of nothing
Obviously, rich, bruce willis demanded his face be visible.
Well that was a great episode of Elders React.
LoL, this is a great alt name for PreRec. Fits perfectly.
i always wondered if Flash with the Spider-Sense could straight up see the future
All superheros run into that sleep problem. Just kill them in their sleep.

thank you for cutting this episode in the middle of a fight. well done. lol

The Speed Force probably taught him how to do it.
28:05 Just simply say"You don't know", Rich. How do we, the questionnaires know that YOU don't know that particular character?
Jack should pick up chronicles of atlantis by peter david
Jack should pick up a brain before anything else.

Play injustice 2 sometime.

THANK YOU. Hearing them bitch about how EVERYONE complains all the time makes me want to unsubscribe from them. It’s not everyone’s opinion, dudes.
Everyone on TH-cam makes this same damn complaint. Its so damn old. They should all stop that pointless shit.
It's simple. Ppl wanted you to play Injustice for so many years, that they don't care anymore.

I am only predictable because he is so consistently wrong.
Titus Orelius Jack has a right to not be into WW in drag with botched implants, stop pushing your fetish sir

One could say the same for your comment, without the "successful" part.
By the way, the second instalment is far superior in every facet.

Nope, because he can't fly and would have to travel around the world by plane or whatever.
he literally runs around the world when he's doing his super move in this game.
He can fly actually. He can also run on water.
He can also travel through time and vibrate the molecules of his body so fast that he can go through any material.
“I am no good at fighting games.” Rich, neither of you are good at any games from what I have seen...
False. Jack is the one that is bad at everything but Super Meatboy.
