true although as much as i love rich and RLM, for like 8 years now.. they are insufferable cocky douchey grandpas about uncharted/last of us ..too many scripted moments? theyres so much gameplay in U4 and LoU, with a shit ton of variables and options, and a standard amount of cutscenes haha theyre smoking crack, maybe they just played it on super easy with U4 theres so few games where you can huck a grenade at a group, fly a rope over to another guy to snap his neck while the grenade goes off, whip out your gun and blast the other guys, then roll out of the way, its so fluid and with LoU, i mean fuck, obviously its mixed up with the level navigation, melee/ranged combat vs the infected and humans idk. i agree that most big games are super overrated and shit, like cod etc, theyre the bruckheimer/michal bay of games but theyre just tedious sometimes
What?? Superman has been punching people since the 1930’s lol - yeah sure he’s the goldenest golden boy who ever lived, but he’ll definitely start throwing fists when he has to, which is like every single week
Rich Evans is such a True, True Friend. Jack's performance notwithstanding - and everyone's fury about it - Rich Evans is there. "Well you ARE fighthing Superman, Jack." what a pal.
I know its sacrilege to say, but I really think the shared continuity and need to keep at least some level of internal consistency is a big part of why DC and Marvel end up with so many problems with their charters. Like when Rich and Jack where talking about the Flash and how really, The Rogues (his nemesis team including Cold, Boomerang and Mirror Master along with a few others) should have 0 chance of fighting him since his powers are so nuts. But the thing is... In Flash comics, at least ones that stick with the original idea of Flash being a fun, silly hero with bad guys who have a code of ethics that prevent them from killing innocents and basically just being costumed robbers, its fine. Cold shoots the ground and Flash slips and falls down and bam, theirs your Flash counter! But then Flash is ALSO on the Justice Team with Batman and Superman and Wonder Woman so he also has to be strong enough to fight world threatening super beings and engage in stories where he's dealing with genocidal monsters. So you end up with two Flashes, one who is pretty fast and routinely gets seriously threatened by a man who throws boomerangs and a guy with an ice gun and one who is fast enough to outrun death and can go toe to toe with the big hitters of Superman's rogues gallery because otherwise he would not work as a JL member and DC wants us to not only assume this is the same character, but that this is all happening pretty much at the same time, where he's goes from sliding on ice and trying to stop Captain Cold before noticing Darkside just showed up and having to go, "Hold up Cold... I'll get back to trying to figure out how to stop you stealing that diamond when all the floors are slippery right after I am done fighting a literal god, okay? Sweet, be right back." And that's not even really getting into the tonal weirdness of some of the darker Batman stories being in continuity with the more light harted stories and hero's. Its lead to DC trying to correct it by making everyone darker, but honestly it just feels so weird say having Batman shooting Dr. Death into space since he can't die, insuring that he will spend eternity trapped in a tiny, airless box dying and resurrecting over and over forever... And knowing that Superman, with his super senses is either A. Just not noticing this or B. Actively ignoring this horrific act because hey! That happened in a Batman story and Bruce said Superman was not allowed to touch anything that had the, "Batman only: NO CROSSOVERS!" stamp on it.
For all the voices Phil LaMarr has done over the years, my favorite will always be the UBS driver from Mad tv (basically an 80s California surfer dude), and his Chris Rock impression.
Henry Polic II was the first voice of Animated Scarecrow (which I actually prefer), but the NEW Batman Adventures was Combs, who does a very different but still awesome job.
Bruce Wayne in the opening looks a lot like Adam Driver (Aka Kylo Ren) which makes me wonder how he would do as Batman. I think it would be better than Ben Affleck.
I like how they keep talking over cutscenes and by doing so miss the answers to the stuff they were just wondering about, like green arrow being from other earth and why would batman trust harley.
Easily one of the best book adaptations, Ty and Daniel work VERY closely on the show. There's a few changes but overall they've done a great job. Season 3 finishes off Abaddon's Gate.
It's the best story mode I've played with amazing facial animations and Jack just said "This is ugly, that's ugly" I think it just makes him feel smart, like he knows good design or something.
The faces look like shit. Just because people have different opinions doesn’t mean they’re liars trying to “feel smart”; that’s just your thought process, apparently. And if anyone disagrees they don’t “know good design”? Wow.
Man, Rich has interacted with way too many comic book related materials lol. Sidenote: Why is Mamma Mia 2 constantly advertising on Red Letter Media and Previously Recorded? Maybe it's just me but it feels not their target audience.
I think it’s because of the switch stance option during combat. You’d think it’d be trivial just to keep it on one side or the other, but my guess is that they’d have to redo all his his fighting animations for each side.
Am i the only one who remembers the temp batman that filled in after bain broke bruces back? He had a cooler suit and questionable ethics. Mightve even killed, i cant remember.
what obsession? This is the only major story constantly talked about where hes evil. I would say though tht its caus superman is a difficult character to write.
many do give a fuck about the lanterns, as a matter of fact some would say that the various lantern corps are one of the most interesting parts of the DCU...
Nice holding cell for Superman, Batman. Almost as good as Jokers cell you never built. Also, great idea including Harley on your team. Not like she's dangerously, mentally unstable and killed thousands of people. No, that was all Jokers doing, right?
>citing the decay of the ussr as an influence on solaris, a novel that predates the era of stagnation, is not really concerned with human politics at all, and is polish rather than russian
But the joker is clever. Put supes under a red bulb, or a minor amount of kryptonite, and hes just a normal guy whos NOT clever. The only reason any of them escape anyway is plot armorish, so of course he would assume supes will never get out.
I want to know... does Aquaman, in the Atlantis level, actually have the option to throw a fishtank full of his fishy brethren as a weapon? That right there is when all logic takes a backseat to big dumb gaming functions.
@@Trevin_Taylor This is Aquaman, the guy that speak and empathizes with aquatic creatures. Presumably, he was the one that put the fish there in that tank... so it'd be really messed up for him to then murder them for his own wellbeing. I can't imagine Aquaman would ever be in a situation where smashing a fishtank was the only thing that would buy him a few more seconds of time in a fight.
@@Trevin_Taylor This is a fighting game where Harley Quinn could kick Doomsday onto a roof. Physics, and what attacks can hurt who, are concepts completely thrown out the window for the sake of a brutal fight. So no, Aquaman is never in a situation where throwing a heavy thing at another Aquaman is going to be more OR less effective than a well-placed kick. Things that happens outside of a cutscene in Injustice can be utter nonsense, like Lex calling down his satellite laser to Earth for his super-move... even when he's on the Watchtower level. Or Wonder Woman rallying Amazons on an Earth where they don't answer to her.
deadshot is one of my favorite characters but I call bullshit on him hitting the flash with a single shot. Then flash dodges two point blank shots like its nothing c,mon with these cut scenes
Superman should never be in a fighting game. It's ridiculous. One of his power moves in the game is to bring the person up into the atmosphere and punch the shit out of them. Just keep going. Bring them into orbit and drop them. Do a victory lap around the Earth before they even burn up in the atmosphere.
Couldn't agree with Rich Evans more, spot on analysis of Superman. " He doesn't punch people , he saves people" something so simple can be so diverted
he doesn't punch people, he throws them through skyscrappers and snaps their necks.
He does punch robots and lazers though
and doesn't afraid of anything
true

Venture Bros is INCREDIBLY underrated.
why does Bruce Wayne look like Ray Romano
Hell Boy as Robbie?
still a better story than BvS
I would watch the hell out of an episode of Jack and Rich talking about Venture Bros.
..... once that line was crossed...." "OH FUCK OFF."
Can't remember the last time Rich made me laugh so hard.
Jeff combs as Brainiac is pretty fantastic

Ok, that Flash supe-de-dupe is pretty sweet.

I wish this fucking channel would come back. So many games we never get to see them talk about. Milestones like death stranding.
Why is batman using the incorrect fulton recovery system from metal gear? Especially since they used it proper in dark knight.
Oh my.

Does the show adapt the book and if so how similar is the show to the books.
Easily one of the best book adaptations, Ty and Daniel work VERY closely on the show. There's a few changes but overall they've done a great job. Season 3 finishes off Abaddon's Gate.
It's damn good, I wish the seasons are longer, but the quality might not be as good if they were.
TIL expanse is books. Wish I could read.
I love how this universe's Green Arrow is dead, so they just went to a random parallel universe (not prime) and brought back a spare, I guess?

Why is the obsesion of making superman evil? I never understand that
This is like the only instance where Superman is truly evil.

Superman is at his most interesting when he is the villain i.e The Dark Knight Returns.
Untrue. He's best in stories like All-Star Superman. A villanous Superman is the antithesis of the character.
Superman killing the joker triggered the nuke I thought?
Joker linked the nuke's detonator to Lois' heartbeat so when Superman got drugged and killed Lois he accidentally nuked Metropolis too.
bellboy64 that's super justified then but he became an evil dictator which is even dumber
it happened very slowly over the course of 5 years. he was not a murderous despot immediatly after.
