    Watching you fill the backpank tanks while standing in the rain, and I can't help but reflect on the irony of moisture falling all over you, juts not in sufficient quantities.

    You guys did pretty good using a hand held. As usual you’re getting precipitation but at least it wasn’t frozen this time.

    Great stuff, thank you! Amazing that you can get 5' of core with a handheld drill relatively quickly. Getting assays turned around is still a challenge but do you ever use an XRF scanner?

    • @911mining
      @911mining  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Just wait till we get 25' 😏. Assays take long and we have used XRFs beforw

      I've been following what $NINE Nine Mile Metals is doing with XRF on their drill core at a VMS project in New Brunswick for some inspiration on how we can use that tool to help keep things moving. Testing core in multiple spots and averaging data points to give a preliminary number before assays come back seems like a reasonable approach.

      Paul what do you think about the "electrolytic cell" experiments with crushed rock to check if we can "hot plate" key metals?
      th-cam.com/video/G-PtnwtOR24/w-d-xo.html something like this instead of using a strip of processed metals as source of metal in the circuit, try using the crushed up rocks? Won't be full recovery but it will be a quick "definitive test" to check if there's copper or zinc or whatever else in there. Fun.

    You need casing for the unconsolidated weathered rock off the top.

    Excellent core drilling tools and very useful for plumbing PVC pipe through rock. Where can i buy one?

    I think it would be interesting if you could put a catch system in place allowing you to pan the cuttings.

    • @peterbell5806
      @peterbell5806 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Classic! Always a good idea to pan the cuttings.

    Can you drill 90 degree horizontal with this drill? We usually run more professional diamond drills (similar to Boyles 37s and Longyear 38s for diamond drillers out there) but we got a client that wants some small diamond short horizontal holes done. No more than 25ft long

      @@911mining That would sadden me, also! I' been with you two for about 7 years now. You haven't done any panning of your specimens in a long time. Even one pan would be awesome.
