Diamond Core Drilling Into A Gold Bearing Deposit!

  • Shallow diamond core drilling with a shaw portable backpack drill. We drilled a gold deposit containing gold and silver and base metals like copper, lead and zinc. Using the core drill we tested for mineralization 1.25m down and got a look at the bedrock. This showing we had previously assayed for gold, silver and base metals contains high grade gold and silver and very high grade base metals. We have done gold prospecting in the area and have found this zone which hosts several gold deposits is over 1km long.

Nice!! We utilize our shaw drill in nevada drilling down to 50’. We had to modify it with a different bit and pump though to reach those depths.

Wow, the cores really make the difference in determining the value and helping make the decision on whether to stake a claim or not. Finding the gossanous mineralized area will really help, especially after an XRF reading. I agree, more drilling is in order in the more highly mineralized areas you have been in the past. I would be surprised if a ten to twenty meter core didn't prove a valuable tool for claiming or dropping a showing. Thanks for the fun and the great video !!

No really tho Its so good to see you.
Vogus prospecting uses a bait pump to lift gravel from under water on bedrock. I saw you on a creek once sounded to me like you could use a lightweight hand powered dredge basically.
