@ The crazy thing is the battery pack is a samsung SDI battery, if you look, nearly all the car fire, battery explosion, and battery related car fires are from the sdi made battery packs, these are the same batteries that were in the galaxy phones and tablets that were blowing up on airplanes..
Every EV, and hybrid vehical has the same issues. The software does not charge the batteries Enough, especially on hybrids the 12 v side is never charging properly. Virtually every manufacturer has an issue similar. They all cant seem to pin down the fix. With the cafe standards the way they are , the software is always programmed to be green, instead of filling up to cells with power to the 80 percent for the traction batteries, and keeping them there whenever possible, and charging the 12v battery, if it has one, like an older alternator system did, at 14+ volts to keep the 12 volt battery at around 13.2 volts and full amps, these new systems just charge enough, which turns out .... Computers in the vehicle dont like being under voltage when asked to do alot. So .... Whether its a jeep, ford, hyundai, or whatever, the software engineers need to get back to work and fix this CHARGING ISSUE !
This issue has nothing to do with not charging the traction battery sufficiently. It has to do with a defect in the seperator unit caused by a change in the parts supplier.
Man, i bet everyone who bought one of these just wishes they bought the v6 and automatic combination..
Some of them still really like them. They have to be really patient people.

@@rustbeltrobclassic2512 Interesting. Thanks for sharing.
The difference is the Grand Cherokee has split batteries where the Wrangler has 1 large battery
Thanks for sharing!!! Good to know.
Not sure what’s funny, they should do every repair while connected to someone who knows what needs to be done correctly.
What's funny? I'm typically a happy guy. For sure.. they need to know what they're doing.
