Absolutely stunning with this WWII fabulous sound "Merlin-Packard V12" engine ! Thank so much for this beautiful video and warm congratulations. Kind regards.
I lived in Edgerton, WI. In the early 2000’s to 2015 (I retired then) there was this gentleman from Milwaukee that owned a P 51, and he would fly over Edgerton, for one reason and one reason only, there was a veteran living there that actually flew one in WWII. That he knew, out of respect he would fly that beautiful plane a couple of times every month like from June through August or September. My god you could hear that thing coming from quite a ways away, he would always fly it on Thursday nights, he knew it was men’s league and the course would be full. He would fly over the course at like 200-300 feet above the ground. God the noise it made, you could actually feel it reverberating on your body. We would all stop and wave our appreciation. It was so beautiful, that shiny chrome and the whistle sound, something I will never forget. Thank You Veterans!!!
Darn handsome looking and sounding P-51! Just last night watched his Corsair demo flight video you posted 5 days ago now. Darn handsome F4U-5NL. And not bad sounding for a round engine either. Although, every Bristol Centaurus that I've ever heard is the sweetest sounding rounder in my opinion. All the same though, any and all liquid-cooled V-12s sound the best to me, with the V-1650 at the top of the heap. Thank you very much for your excellent videos!
My wife popped her head over my shoulder and asked me what that is that is making those sounds. I told her that it is a V12 dual-stage supercharged Merlin engine in the nose of a P-51D Mustang, and six 50 caliber machine gun barrels poking out the leading edges of the wings. She said “what wonderful sounds for a gorgeous airplane.” 😢 I love my wife.
NOPE !!! He was an American citizen of German descent but it was Dutch Kindelberger and Lee Atwood, the Aeronatical engineers that designed the Mustang .....
I think it's an optical illusion, because the flaps are polished and the wings are painted. With aileron deflection it sometimes looks like the flaps are slightly extended, but I'm pretty sure they aren't. Georg Raab has been flying airshows accident free for over 20 years, in a Stearman, T-6, Mustang and hopefully this year in his new Corsair, he knows what he's doing.

Super gefilmt und toller Sound!!!!
Those gun ports make great sounds
They do. In my opinion this is one of the best sounding P-51's out there.
Beautiful!!!!
WOW!!
A shot of my old Duty Station when I was a teenager in the 70's.
Back then, the Gelnhausen Flugplatz was nothing but gliders and one tow plane.
It`s still a small airfield, but they have a nice little airshow with some warbirds each year.
Bravo.Perfect.Thenks
Brash..confident..and beautiful...a total piece of perfection....coo ooo. ...

There’s something about the flaps position , 🧐✈️
No there isn't. The flaps have a different colour.
Плечо ГО выглядит недостаточным по сравнению с немцами . Интересно какой угол ГО на крейсере . И вялые моменты МОХ.
Looks like an accident waiting to happen, low altitude aerobatics with the flaps down.
Yeah what is with the partial flap position?!! So much for after-takeoff-check or pre-maneuvers-check - another example of bad airmanship...

The flaps are up. It's just a different colour, look again. He always had plenty of altitude and speed...
Maybe you should just stay away from the airport. Perhaps just go and change your tampon or something.
The Flaps aren't down, get your eyes checked
Absolutely fantastic! ♥
