So sorry this happened to you again Jaquie. One of the worst things about chronic illnesses is that it's the worst ever rollercoaster ride that never ends. I started out thinking once I got things "fixed" and did everything right, then things would at least be going in the positive direction. What it really does is test your own positivity and patience while you're on this medical rollercoaster. I hope things go well for you this time around. It is so draining emotionally. It's cumulative over time and can wear you down. I'm so glad you have the support of your family and friends when the coaster decides to plummet. Wishing you a lot more "Ups" in your future! {{ Hugs! }}
Your followers love ❤️ you and are praying. My heart just breaks. Your home for now and happy for that. You would think with all the technology that is at our fingertips, that they could come up with something to keep this from happening. I’m sure there’s many thousands of people that have this same problem on a regular basis. When you keep going back in like this and physically have to put your body through it; it’s a strain. I’m just talking, I know you know that. (I’m frustrated, sorry). I’m praying for a complete healing for you not just for one thing. I would give anything or do anything if God could completely bless/heal you with a miracle. I’ll be fasting for the next couple of days I’ll be in prayer. Many hugs to you, Judd and of course Harlow. I can see you are at your wits end with this feeding tube issue. makes me want to give you a hug. :( I feel this way about my Chronic problems, watching you always give mes hope. Hi Jaquie, I just had to say I really notice how much your husband loves you. You can see it so clearly...and I can see you love him. I have been married for 31 years...I have Lupus and my husband has been a trooper. You guys will make it all the way. He is a really wonderful guy, and I think you are awesome! I have been binge watching you..and I really enjoy what I'm learning about your life. I think it's cute that you do thumbs up all the time...lol

I found it helps to make a list of pros and cons when making a decision. It also helps to consider which choice would improve your quality of life more! Good luck on the feeding tube stuff!

If you need to take a break again, please remember to do so! Your health needs to come first and while my fingers and toes are crossed that you’re able to get a new tube in right away, we’ll all understand if you’re too weak/tired/symptomatic to vlog later this week. So thankful for your supportive family and pup because I know they’ll do their best to help you through!

On a better note, in the group presentation about service dogs i mentioned a week ago, I brought you up and showed some clips of your videos and I get to tell the whole class about how Harlow helps you and I'm very excited for it. This wouldn't be possible without you. Your channel does make a difference!

Going to my specialist tomorrow and hopefully I'll get some help with my skin, it's just been horribly dry. This next month is full of doctors appointments, neurologist a few weeks from now, primary care doctor towards Christmas. Hopefully I will find out what is causing my weight loss and dizziness, I've lost over 15 pounds over the past two months which for me is a big deal. Really sorry your tube kinked again that has got to be so frustrating! Sending you positive thoughts! Keep moving forward through it all!

Ugh that's incredibly frustrating. So sorry you're going through this again. Have you thought about getting D5 infusions for the week while you're unable to get your tube feeds to keep your BG up without having to force feed yourself? I always get that when I'm NPO in the hospital due to my hypoglycemia.
I can get more saline or BB but a new type of infusion requires insurance approval which would take longer than this week
I recently discovered your channel and want to thank you for sharing all that you do. You have made me feel less alone in my struggles with chronic illness and I'm sure you do for others as well. As far as your decision about separating your G and J tubes, I truly hope your will feel confident and comfortable after getting all the information from your doctors. I'm not goning to advise you on what to do, per your request, but you did mention possibly wanting to hear from someone who has been in this situation, and unfortunately I have! I have G and J tubes, as well as a permanent central line, so I can relate. We share many of the same issues, gastroparesis, POTS (and other types of Dysautonomia), even immunodifficiency. I'd be happy to communicate with you about your tube situation or anything else. I had to separate out my tubes, basically for the same reason. Having two tubes (I have the button tubes for both) isn't as bad as I tought it would be, but the surgery was uncomfortable for a short time. However, The tubes don't kink anymore and they change them at the same time. I hope it all goes smoothly and feel free to contact me if you would like. bilvavi@yahoo.com

I want to say you are super inspiring. I have early GP and I have started to have a lot of tummy problems. I really think you are well put together with all the chronic illness. I deal with a lot too. hang in there dear.

I’m so sorry this has happened again so soon. I wonder if, as you are reluctant to have two separate tubes whether you could just go to a j tube and then have ng tubes at home to place yourself for venting and draining and then remove once you are done. Just until you have had more time to make a decision that you are happy with about having a separate G tube. It’s just an idea and obviously I am aware that you and your doctor will make a decision with all of the available options.

Judd should have his right forearm sores looked at by a doctor. It could be MRSA. My sister got it in her nose from her husband's foot infection and she had to have surgery for it. It can be passed from the shower, towels, sheets, etc.
Yeah he said he would get it looked at Wednesday but it already looked a lot better today
So sorry your tube kinked again! I have a J tube and while I do not kinking problems, my body pushes the balloon out through the stoma about every 6-8 weeks and I have to get it replaced. My J tube was placed surgically at first and now managed by interventional radiology and they just replace it over a guide wire through the stoma. If you have any questions I'm happy to answer them if I can.

I’m sorry this happened again Jacquie! Chronic illnesses aren’t fun :// I have respiratory issues and cataplexy and there was a small incident over the weekend where I had to run through plastic fumes and smoke to save my SDiT and I had to miss school today because I was having trouble breathing and spoons were very low. A space heater melted and caught fire and it was right next to Bahn’s (my SDiT) crate so after my dad put out the fire I dove into the smoke to get him out ASAP and my lungs were not happy and neither were my energy levels. I’m still recovering from the ordeal but both Bahn and I are ok and will have no lasting effects as it seems thankfully.

Is sleeping with your head elevated with the bed putting pressure on the tube? Is there a way to elevate your head without bending your midsection (can the hole bed incline rather than just the head part)??

Did you try pulling all the water out and maybe moving the tube a bit, then refilling?
I had the same problem...my hospital gave me the direct number for the interventional radiology team who is on-call all 24/7 so I can call them about my tube instead of having to wait for several hours to get imaging and then my tube fixed through the ER.

It sucks for sure. My daughter's J has only kinked once but she's had GJ buttons just crumble apart a few times. So she ends up inpatient until they can get a new one placed. :/

You and me both were in the er yesterday. I had to go to get a ct done. I have a kidney stone, but they think my pain is from scar tissue in my kidneys.

cellogirl11RW ive had kidney disease since i was in 6th grade. But its all the times ive had surgery for my stints. Ive had them 3 times, but the last surgery in august is really what me and my husband think messed me up, because it wasnt done by my actual urologist, but a different one in the same building.

I'm worried about Judds wrist! It looks inflamed/infected :(. Make sure he gets that checked out, I know that as the spouse of a chronically ill person he probably shoves his own medical issues to the wayside. (Mine certainly does.)
But he's not chronically ill if he was he wouldn't be in the military/police
helperdog vader - I'm aware that he isn't chronically ill. That doesn't mean his health isn't equally important. (This is something that I try to make sure my husband, who is also a police officer btw, understands so that he takes care of himself.)
He said he will go to urgent care on Wednesday if he needs to but it looks a lot better today

Grace Lillian because the ER personnel are there to treat emergencies..... a kinked feeding tube isn’t an emergency and it is supposed to be handled by a GI doctor.

you really may want to think about getting the j tube as well so you don't have to keep having these issues and going without nutrition and won't have to keep putting your body through getting it changed so often

I'm sorry but I would be so frustrated with my doctor. I know he did his best with picking the placement of the tube in your stomach but the fact that it basically doesn't work and you need ANOTHER hole in your body because the FIRST hole didn't work is a major mistake on his part.
Your body doesn't like that feeding tube, Jaquie!! They need to come up with a solution though......
Judd should not be falling down into your chair like that! It's really bad for it!
