Hey y'all! I am getting one question pretty often to I will answer here. :) How do I do wheelies and curbs with the SmartDrive? Answer: The same as before! I am still mastering these skills though lol. If you want to learn more, go to the SmartDrive link I provided. There are videos that demonstrate everything!
Chronically Jaquie very excited for you with your customizations, leashes, and smart drive. The bracelet control is very cool. I'm guessing you don't have to tap so hard that your wrist subluxes/dislocates? The lights are super cool on the wheels too. Yay for Harlow having a new friend and your friend gaining extra help. 🤗💖
Next I'd recommend a power inverter for the the vehicle. As a just in case thing. We have one in each vehicle so on long trips the kids can plug in game systems (because they never charge the batteries), laptops, tablets things like that. Depending on the power it pulls you should be able to get one strong enough for the smart drive. So if you take a road trip you can charge the smart drive between stops if you had to. Or you forgot to charge the smart drive the night before you can at least get some charge in the system on your way to your destination.
I’m having to get a wheelchair, but they want to get me a power wheelchair. I don’t want something that’s big and bulky. I would rather have smart drive but I don’t know if my insurance will cover smart drive and I don’t know how to ask, the person who was doing my wheelchair evaluation about smart drive.
Chronically Jaquie hi Jaquie lover these videos on your new wheels! can I ask what model TiLite your chair is? Or what Range because I need to find which are the lightweight ones? Thank you for your awesome channel 💗💜🦋💜 💗 xx
The reason I started watching your videos was because of how you interacted with Harlow. It is so beautiful to see a service dog being treated as a valuable member of the family instead of a piece of medical equipment. I just love how happy she is and how happy she makes both you and Judd. Thank you for being such a perfect example of a service dog family!
Part of my job involves improving facilities and experiences for our customers with disabilities, and your vlogs play a role in broadening my understanding of how best to cater to people's needs! Keep up the fantastic work - I hope you, Judd & Harlow enjoy Orlando this weekend
This vlog made me all kinds of happy! Your power assist is so awesome! It's really pretty cool how it works. I think you're doing great with it. Just watch out for the vans lol. You and Janiece crack me up. When you said "you'll wave until I say we're done" I almost fell out of my wheelchair laughing. You guys remind me of me and my best friend. I hope Judd's arm heals for him and he has no more trouble with it. Thanks for taking me along on your adventure!
It was such a joy to see you so happy today! I’m sure you don’t show us everything and often hide pain behind your smile but you really did look a lot better today and super happy.
Yay! I’m an EDS/POTS patient who will eventually need a wheelchair. I’ve been so worried about it because I’m afraid of dislocating my shoulder while pushing. This is such a great tool!
I am absolutely thrilled I was able to give you some insight as to how this can help you! That is why I share my story, tools that help/didn't help, etc. Best of luck to you! (:
Lanie Mo ..same. I'm saving this info for when I need mine too. I wouldn't trust any other reviews because not only does Jaquie have the same illnesses as me, she's honest and intelligent. She is matter of fact when she explains which helps me so much. I hope it works out well for you too!
I think this is the same thing that Mickey from "life with stripes" (I think is what her channel is called) has for her chair... I've got EDS and autonomic dysfunction (not sure if I met criteria for POTS, I'm supposed to see a cardiologist, just not in the top of my list lol)... But I'm SO EXCITED THAT THESE THINGS EXIST! I feel silly to be like, "I can't wait until I'm able to have a wheelchair", but I really look forward to being in less pain and being able to go in public independently and go places and just... Live more, and use my spoons for things I want to do instead of using them all on daily living... No idea how and when I'll be able to get a chair (I also live alone right now, and have to climb stairs to get to the bathroom, so I'm more focused on hopefully finding a place to live so, where I can have 1 floor living, cause that's my main downfall... Haha, literally, too! ;)) Zebra power (wheelchair), lol! Take care, y'all! So glad we live in this time and have the internet and smart chairs, etc, and we don't have to feel alone! :-D
I just want you to know you are an inspiration to me. I am fighting many health conditions as well. I love how knowledgeable you are with regards to your needs (wheelchair) and how you carry yourself.
Hey jaquie i am sooo glad to see you this happy and back on your feet again. You look like a diffrent person compared to two days ago. Keep up the smile and have fun this weekend and i'll see how everything is tommorow!! Love y'all!!❤❤
I love seeing you so bright like this! You are definitely coming to life again now that you're on your feeds! I'm so happy for you :) And your wheelchair is AWESOME!!
You said wheelchair leash and I got so confused for some reason haha. I thought it was a leash for you! Then I remembered miss Hippo and had a good laugh!
1) New banner is super cute 2) Harlow seems to already know you're going to see Julian she's so excited. 3) Of course they need to play in the dirt, it's the best spot for a nice clean Harlow.
Can tell you're feeling much better and the happiness with your new chair and gadgets is priceless. I'm so happy that you are ready to cruise with ease!! 😉
Awesome improvements to the wheel chair! Have fun at Disney, I'm so jealous!! I'll be laying around the house today. I'm from Missouri and our weather keeps changing, hot and cold and it wrecks my bones.
I love your channel and your positive attitude! I'm a recent addition to the chronically ill family and watching you deal with the challenges makes me feel like I can do it, too! Thanks for making these vlogs!
hahaha jaquie, it was so fun to see your eyes positively sparkle with excitement in the very beginning of this video, not the intro stuff. Good to see you happy and excited for a change, well I mean since you've been feeling so poorly for the last few days especially with all the GJ hassles. And for Judd I think I'm gonna nickname him Mr. Stache! Goose, yeah buddy, AS IF! Don't fash, I'm only ribbing ya, officer friendly, lol. And honey please make sure to wear the seatbelt for the chair when you're in it. I have an electric wheelchair and I can't tell you the number of times I got tossed out of the chair when I didn't have the belt on. If it doesn't have one please have them install one asap!
omg im in love with all of your wheelchair gear! (im hoping to get some cool extras for my chair soon) im so glad youre working through all of your recent tube stuggles. sending strength and prayers! ❤
I love the new banner! Harlow looks so cute in those antlers! Im happy to see that you are doing well with the smart drive. Whenever you and @TheRawLife get together I get really happy because then I get to see more of the both of you! You and your vlogs really help me to see the positive in not so great situations, such as having to take a bunch of medicine and constantly going to see doctors. I was very depressed and on the verge of hopelessness when I found your channel. Now I feel alive again, I'm more motivated to get up and try to keep moving forward more than ever before. Thank you.
Congratulations you got it all for your wonderful wheelchair I'm so happy for you this is getting so exciting I'm going to have to check out some assessories for mine happy December 2nd you guys have a wonderful festive Christmas and I'll see you on the next one
Thank you so much for this! Im getting a smartdrive soon & really wanted to see it in a real situation and not a website. You explained everything so well plus you're very funny 😊
I love your new banner!! Yay power assist with new bracelet and all the new fun toys!! You look great Jaquie! And yay we saw Atlas the new service dog and Janiece!!
Yay love to see that you wheelchair is finally just right for you. Btw I love those shell tights. I think I've seen them in previous vlogs too. Can't wait to see you and Harlow get out there and use your wheelchair for more freedom (especially at Disney :) )
I have been trying for days to figure it out. If you look the app has terrible reviews. We are only going to use ours for shopping. I was told by our wheelchair guy to not use them in the house. I may out a hole in the wall! haha!! They go up to 4.5 mph. That is crazy crazy fast for a wheelchair. I am so glad our insurances covered it. We both have terrible shoulders so they are wonderful. Could never have afforded them out of pocket. They cost $6,000! That is more than our chairs. Oh and we have the same color chair! Also, what did you type into Amazon to find bands for the watch?
I LOVE THE BANNER! So happy for you that the wheelchair is perfect now😊 ( its very important). My grandmother is using mine and i really should have one for trips but its hard ( I avoided my other one as much as I could lol). Going to try excersize (walking) first.
Im so happy that your feeling a bit better and that you have ur wheelchair is working love the vlog today can't wait to see a Christmas vlog :) My birthday is in 8 days Do you think you could say happy birthday to me on the 10th? :) Thank you so much for vlogging everyday that always makes my day when i see ur notifications pop up.
Hey Jacquie, I love your videos and your training videos are a huge help for my own service dog in training! Do you recommend a hands free leash like the one you have? Because I just have a carabiner that I attach to my belt and have the leash attached to it. It works currently but it means I always have to wear pants/shorts that have a belt loop. What are your thoughts?
I love and miss you jaquie watching you videos for the 1st time sense you passed and even now your helping me navigate my own similar disabilitys. You'll always be a fellow zebra 💜🦓
I am so so happy for you, this is going to be a wonderful thing, it is going to set you free and I have to admit I am a little jealous wish I could get one also. That way going up hill would be so much easier.
i love the new banner! and you're looking much better (not that you didn't look nice before) now that you have your feeding tube back. when i say "better", i mean you're more energetic and bubbly and that makes me super happy :-)
You are so cool with all of your gadgets! As others have said, it’s not great that you have to have it but how you optimise these tools to make the most out of life is amazing! Also, I found it really helpful to learn that Julian is on the ASC spectrum as well. Finding adults doing so amazingly living life with autism and chronic illness is so inspiring :) I have Aspergers and I am being evaluated for some physical issues at the moment x
So excited n happy for you.. can i ask how process is or tips to get authorization for smart drive..i have wheelchair but was denied smart drive few years back, then gotten worse n now denied electric.. i think smart drive be perfect..as you know we fluctuate with weakness n fatigue levels..i have EDS, autoimmune autonomic neuropathy dysautonomia, POTS, myasthenia gravis, already had shoulder surgery for deranged shoulder..my joints keep popoing in n out have mind of there own..shoulders ,clavicle , sternum (non union fracture from thymectomy), ribs n hips, n wrists.. i fluctuate between walking without assistive device, to cane, seated walker, or wheelchair..n use scooter at stores.. they denied me stating i could get to bathroom by myself with stuff i already have..uggg. That wheelchair is so cool! I’m so happy for you!! I just have a random question- do you ever find it rude or awkward if someone asks to pet or say hi to Harlow? What’s usually your response? Thanks!
It depends how people ask lol. Mostly people have good intentions and I just say "sorry, she is working." Sometimes I feel well enough to stop and chat/educate. Sometimes I feel terrible and keep on moving without saying anything, or I just do not realize the person was talking to me. On very rare occasion, I will let others greet Harlow. Once a woman came to me teary-eyed as she had just lost her long-time SD. I felt well in that moment and let her love on Har, she said it was very therapeutic for her.
I’m looking for a wheel chair but I have cystic fibrosis so I get winded fairly easy like anything I do I’m winded,so with this wheelchair I don’t have to manually do it?
Hi Jaquie! I’m still so moved by your courage, strength, and enlightened view of life! UGOGURL! I was scrolling through TH-cam and found another vlogger whose site is called Service Dog Paws. Maybe you’ve heard of it? Dominique and her service dog, Max are out and about like you! She also has POTS and faints quite often. Max, like Harlow, is awesome in the way he nudges Dominique! Good dog, Max! Good dog, Harlow. One of her subscribers mentioned you and Harlow in reference to chronic illness warriors. 😊👍Something else that was mentioned was a patch that Max has and would be for Harlow’s vest which I thought you might like to know about: The patch says, “I faint. I’m okay. Do not call 911 unless I’m injured.” 😊 Now that you have your fabulous wheelchair, perhaps with hopes of getting out on your own again, this patch might be useful.
Where is that door pull from? I can get dizzy and black out from opening heavier doors and I didn't know there was something for your dog to open doors on-the-go!

Damn. This shows how much technology improved lives.
I was really impressed as well!

Yay! Love you Jaquie! You seem to be enjoying your wheelchair, and you definitely sound like you have more energy now that you're back on feeds.
Yes I am starting to feel much better (: Thankfully I was not off my feeds for too long.
That’s good glad you’re feeling better
TheNeonUnicornPotato your name just made my entire month
Woo! I’m so excited that your wheelchair is now perfectly customized for you. It’s going to make such a great difference for you
It was such a joy to see you so happy today! I’m sure you don’t show us everything and often hide pain behind your smile but you really did look a lot better today and super happy.
It's true, there are struggles/pain even through the laughter and fun, but some days are better than others and it is still a happy life (:

Gosh I can understand that! My hip has been giving me issues lately. Cold weather does not help!
Oh my gosh, the new wheelchair system looks so much easier. I’m glad you’re feeling !better
Aww I love the banner! Harlow in those ears 😂💕 And that chair is awesome! Didn't know they could be so high-tech.

Hi Jacquie! It’s awesome to see you feeling so much better! Your wheelchair is properly blinged up now, too, which is pretty cool. Yay!
Got my 13 yo son's SmartDrive MX2+ in today. Can't wait for him to test drive it this weekend. It's gonna make things so much better. Independence!!

LOVE the wheelchair and gear. The new banner is ADORABLE!
My fiance just got new chairs this week! WE GOT SMART DRIVES!!! LOVE THEM!!!
That is so great! I wonder if y'all will figure out how to work the app. If you do, let me know lol!
I have been trying for days to figure it out. If you look the app has terrible reviews. We are only going to use ours for shopping. I was told by our wheelchair guy to not use them in the house. They recalled those Twion wheels, did you know that? Our guy told us there was a whole host of issues with them. They cannot get FDA approval.

I LOVE THE BANNER! So happy for you that the wheelchair is perfect now😊 ( its very important). My grandmother is using mine and i really should have one for trips but its hard ( I avoided my other one as much as I could lol). Going to try excersize (walking) first.

Your wheelchair looks great! It's so you :D Also, can you lift it on your own with the SmartDrive on it?
That wheelchair is cute. Love the color choices!
Ummm??? You’re almost at 100 k subscribers!!!! That’s so crazy I’ve been watching since you’ve had 10 k ❤️❤️❤️😱😱
You sound so much happier and alert! Glad your tube got unkinked.
I gotta get one of those. That is so cool and looks much easier to use so I won't get sore, stiff muscles.
Thank you so much. The more I can learn the more freedom I can have
Merry Christmas! I love the new banner! That chair is amazing!
I loved this video because your energy is awesome. It is good to see you feeling well.
I love and miss you jaquie watching you videos for the 1st time sense you passed and even now your helping me navigate my own similar disabilitys. You'll always be a fellow zebra 💜🦓
I love the banner!!I hope ur tube doesn't kink when u go on day feeds. Judd is right. It's like a Tesla wheelchair. Nice gadgets for wheelchair leesh.
My nutrition schedule won't effect the kinking because my anatomy stays the same no matter how I run my nutrition (:
I love the lights!!! Those are so pretty!
Wow ur wheelchair is AMAZING 😉
You should get a noise maker that will make your chair sound like a big block V-8.
Julian seems like such a sweet person
your videos have inspired me so much, thank you, Judd, and of course Harlow!❤
I am so so happy for you, this is going to be a wonderful thing, it is going to set you free and I have to admit I am a little jealous wish I could get one also. That way going up hill would be so much easier.
I love your fascination in cows XD
So happy for you your chair looks amazing!!!! xx
I love the wheel bike lights. I’ve never done that before, but they are awesome.
Your love of cows is wonderful 😆😍
i love the new banner! and you're looking much better (not that you didn't look nice before) now that you have your feeding tube back. when i say "better", i mean you're more energetic and bubbly and that makes me super happy :-)
I know what you mean! I feel/look more lively and more like myself (:
You guys have such beautiful homes
Glad you're feeling better!! Enjoy your weekend! 😁💪
Love the wheelchair and the snazzy tools! Where did you get the leash, I have a service dog, and would like a waist leash.
Omg!!! I used to volunteer at New Horizons Service Dogs!! Their dogs are absolutely perfect! So happy Harlow has a new friend!
it sucks you need this wheel chair, but I am you have it! This is way too cool!!!
100% agree with this. I'm not happy that I need it, but I am thankful it is an available option to help me live my best possible life.
I love Hippo!
Look like you are feeling better! Hope all of you have a fun weekend!
Love the new banner!
Thanks! :D
Me too!
It looks great!
That's really good for you!!❤ I hope you have a amazing day!!❤
Jaquie, could you blend foods to push through your Jtube?
On the next episode of Pimp my Ride...glad you're loving your new wheels!

SO exciting! I've been excited to see your new chair!
Chronically Jaquie awwww
I'm so glad you are happy with the smartdrive
YEAH! Julian finally got his service dog!! :) That's awesome!
Atlas is gorgeous! A redhead🦊. Love the lights on your chair.
I’m looking for a wheel chair but I have cystic fibrosis so I get winded fairly easy like anything I do I’m winded,so with this wheelchair I don’t have to manually do it?
Hey Jaquie I was just diagnosed with EDS is there any tips for symptom management but you might have?
I will look them up (: But I have found that people do not pay much attention to patches lol.
Omg you look so good today you have more color that makes me happy
You look so good! It's good to see that your feeling better!
I love your backpack!! Where can I find one like it?
Where is that door pull from? I can get dizzy and black out from opening heavier doors and I didn't know there was something for your dog to open doors on-the-go!
garlicgrrl she made it I think
Where did you get the attachment for the leash?
Love the new banner!!! Happy holidays 💪👆😊
I have the same phone and phone case as you!
Also, glad your gadgets all work for the most part now! hopefully the app will start working soon.
