    LYRICS
With a little luck we can help it out
We can make this whole damn thing work out
With a little love we can lay it down
Can't you feel the town exploding?
    Chorus
There is no end to what we can do together
    There is no end
The willow turns his back on inclement weather
And if he can do it, we can do it, just me and you
And a little luck, we can clear it up
We can bring it in for a landing
With a little luck we can turn it on
    There can be no misunderstanding
    Chorus
With a little push, we could set it off
We can send it rocketing skywards
With a little love we could shake it up
Don't you feel the comet exploding?
With a little luck, with a little luck, with a little luck, etc
    Repeat verse one
With a little love, we can set it off
We can send it rocketing skywards
With a little luck, we could shake it up
    Oh yeah
    Repeat verse one
    Repeat verse three

People in your age group, especially those several years older than you, had difficult experiences in the 1960's and 1970's and John, Paul, George and Ringo were always there! They will live forever in the eternal history of Rock and Roll.
Also, "If you take Rock and Roll music away you will have no music at all''.
Said by a young Korean war veteran in the middle 1950's.
P.S. ''They can send you to prison but they cannot get you killed in a war you don't believe in.'' Said by a (another) Korean war veteran in 1968-69.

Highly, highly underrated song. The line about the Willow turning his back on inclement weather gets me everytime. The Willow (trees) of course, are the most resilient of trees. A perfect analogy. For all of his accomplishments, fame, and fortune, I still don't think Paul Mccartney is appreciated as much as he should be. Thank God for Paul.

The thing that I remember most vividly about this song when it came out was it was the only ray of optimism on the charts. In the era of such songs as "Too Much, Too Little, Too Late" and "You Don't Bring Me Flowers Anymore", this song was a breath of "positive" air. Thank you Mr. McCartney for keeping it upbeat.

Sadly, there _is_ an end, and it came for Denny Laine yesterday (5 December 2023). He's the leftmost one on the _London Town_ album cover above. He died of interstitial lung disease. Laine was also a founding member of the Moody Blues. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for his work with that band in 2018, and he also gets a songwriting credit - alongside Paul McCartney, of course - for _With A Little Luck._
It is always sad when an artist dies...
