    I will like to know, I looked for the video you talked about hubby changing his Noc to legal assistant, I want to know the effect it had on this journey, because this is what I want to do, change from corporate counsel to legal administrative assistant.
    Thank you.

    • @omoaribidesi
      @omoaribidesi  ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe changing his NOC made our nomination from Manitoba faster as legal assistant is not a regulated profession, compared to law. However, the change made our federal application slower because his new job description did not match what was on his firm's website. However, he was able to smoothe it out with a letter of explanation. I'd say our situation was unique though as it's not everyone's firm or company that has a website and stuff like that. So changing your NOC shouldn't generally affect your application. It might even make getting nomination easier.

    • @omoaribidesi
      @omoaribidesi  ปีที่แล้ว

      Because I'm not an immigration consultant, my knowledge of the immigration opportunities available for people over the age of 45 is quite limited so I can't really speak much on that. That's not to discourage you though. I'm sure there are a number of options that you can explore, such as work permit. It'd be better if you talk to an immigration consultant though just to get the proper guidance.

      True, the point you get decreases as you age. But from the Canadian government website, you still score point until you are 59. But go for the PNP - you do have a chance there more. - That is the route I took to come over and I was older than you when I did and got my PR. Saskatchewan PNP is for me the easiest - that is my opinion though
