Short answer, being stabbed sucks and it hurts. I got into a street fight and it led to me being stabbed in my abdomen just above my right hip. I started losing blood pretty quickly, but I also had to NOT lose the fight or I probably would have been killed, so I couldn't aid it immediately. I eventually managed to demobilize them for long enough to get away. I didn't have anything on me to substitute a tourniquet, but my clothes were already drenched in my own fluids, so I just took off my shirt and used that all while phoning 911 telling them what happened. The initial impact from the stab isn't even the painful part, it's when the blade is inevitably pulled out of you. That and applying pressure to stop the bleeding. Also, yes I am perfectly fine now, I made a full recovery with no permanent injuries and I'm here to tell the tale

In the uk where I’m from the reason the knife crime is so high is because there’s a lot of gangs in the uk and because guns are illegal it’s really easy for you to just grab a knife from your kitchen and most knife crimes aren’t on regular civilians and are on members from different gangs and for the people actually armed with the blade don’t actually intend to use it, you see a study from a few years back showed most percentages of gang members don’t intend to use the weapon in any way and if they was going to harm someone it would be by fist so most people with the knife actually use it as a way of self defence from people attacking you by fist and the knife is used to scare them off but some very smart people think they can defeat the armed person with a knife and as a result end up getting stabbed mostly in the stomach because it’s the closest thing to the weapons and you have a better chance of escape and because your stomach is vulnerable from blood loss most people die so as long as your not in a gang... I’m pretty sure your a okay 👌
