Same. I have a lot of co-factors with thyroid, PCOS, prediabetic, blah, blah. Been on compounded Mounjaro since May. Lost a lot of inflammation which is a win, but zero pounds until I just moved up to 7.5/8 a couple weeks ago. Waiting to see what this does before moving up to 10.
Not a social media person but I am really loving the glp1 community here on youtube! Feels like a real family!!! Started 7wks ago but started researching months before. I really love all of you fierce warriors who ventured on this journey a year or 2 ago & braved the waters before us & who spend so much of your time contributing to the healthy positiveness of this wonderful treatment The info assistance & love u all provide has been so truly amazing. I appreciate u all & I will share this comment with others youtube glp1 channels to let the community know you all are priceless and really make this journey fun & safer. Thanks so much 💛!!!
*Extremely* well said, Ali. Thank you. 🌟🙏 Only thing I’d add is also perhaps check for the various ‘X-factors’ that can make weight-loss more difficult. Stuff like, - PCOS - Thyroid issues - Certain antidepressants (especially) - Other meds causing weight-gain? - Is she diabetic? If so, how badly? - Menopause or perimenopause Etc etc. I know you’re super well-aware of all of those, and said commenter may’ve had those things checked already. But, figured they were worthy of mention. ✅ (And remember… a Duck Army in the water is a *Mighty Duck Armada!!* 😳 🦆 🦆 🦆)
I can’t stress enough everything you are saying straight “FACTS” I have a friend who’s been doing the same habit expecting to lose weight 1st month only losing 2.5lbs. It literally is a tool before I was put on medication I started putting everything into play. EXCELLENT CONTENT 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Ali, I can't thank you enough! This video really hits home; every part of it feels so true to what I'm experiencing right now. I'm am on 7.5 mg and seem to be going back and forth with 5 pounds. But I have a good feeling that when I titrate up in the next couple of weeks, (can’t wait) everything is going to be just fine! If not, no worries-I'll keep on pushing through!
@2:38 - great point! I can confidently say I know more about how GLP-1s work in the body than my primary care doctor. He was woefully ignorant. But, I can also say that after talking with many doctors, the world of peptide therapeutics is fairly foreign to a good percentage them. They're playing "catch-up."
This is sadly true. It still seems to be very hit-or-miss with primary care physicians on GLP-1s. Some of them remain woefully clueless… and it’s not like the meds haven’t been out for a few years already. Would expect the specialists like endos to be better, but, c’mon. 40 percent of your patients are obese. HOW do you still NOT know much about these meds?? 🤷🏻♀️
@@cloakster my son is currently performing clinical rounds in med school in Chicago. He says that on a whole, peptide therapeutics are simply not taught. But, as these peptides get more and more monetized by Big Pharma, they will have no choice to eventually include them. These aren't synthesized drugs, so up until recently B.P. didn't really embrace them because they couldn't capitalize on the $$. However, since they found other ways to patent the delivery system of these therapeutics (ie: the mechanisms inside the self injecting pen as just one example), they will be more open to using peptides as treatments. Not just for weight loss, but a plethora of other conditions.
I had to get to 10mg before any meaningful weight loss but I've been with you since to started and I've learned a lot. I'm type 2 D and thought it was that slowing my weight loss but no I needed to get to 15mg to get my blood sugars completely controlled I'm now off all my insulin, A1c now is 5.2 down from 11....off my blood pressure meds some people do need the higher doses and that's fine. I'm looking at maintenence now I lost 40ls and I'm at my goal weight. Ah yes I have multiple sclerosis so wasn't able to exercise much but I try with resistance bands at home and do a wobbly dance to music when I can good luck everyone Great video Ali thank you
Oh, man! This discussion is hits home! I struggle to make myself eat more than 1100 calories bc I don’t lose on more than that. I walk & lift weights 4-5x a week but still fairly sedentary the rest of the day. I’m only 5 feet so my calorie needs aren’t much to begin with. I’ve lost 2 lbs in the last 2 months. I’m using up my last vial of 5mg. I’m hoping 7.5 will be more helpful. My hopes and dreams of losing 2 lbs a week have been dashed! I’ve still got 55 more to go. I’m NOT giving up bc I haven’t felt this healthy in a looonnggg time 😅
Healthy is more importantly. If you eating healthy choices and exercising it will eventually come off and really slower is better than to fast. You will have less sagging skin and probably keep the weight off long term
@donnareed3822 yes! Thank you! I do eat very healthfully! and I don’t crave the sugary things at all anymore, either. I have some loose skin but not as much as I feared…yet! lol
You make my heart sing, I love the way you explain stuff, it’s so comforting to hear and reassuring, so thank you for this video 🙏🏼 I’m on my 3rd injection and did really well first 2 weeks -10, but now it’s creeping back up, hunger is back, satiety is down and foodnoise is back. Just gunna have to ride it out like you say. I’m walking and eating lots of protein plus water, so I know ‘I’m assisting’ my mornjaro, I just need to learn patience 🙄😂
🦆 Good advice. At my first GLP-1 appointment my doctor sent the Rx to the pharmacy AND at the same time set up an appointment for me to see the nutritionist. Your diet may need some tweaking even if you feel you know what you're doing. A nutritionist offers really good recommendations for changing up your meal plan to stay focused and lose weight.
Thank you for posting. I’m on week 3 of semaglutide and just starting to have mild side effects, no weight loss or decreased appetite yet. It’s so good to hear from someone who is is on this journey also. Congratulations on your weight loss. That’s great!!
I didn’t eat enough yesterday and I worked out. I biked 5 miles and walked in the wholesale store. I put a lot of steps in. Anyway, I woke up from 12a-6am. I ended up eating 800 calories. Ugh! So, it’s not worth under eating, then going on a binge. I feel guilt and shame now. Eat enough daily and it will be a smoother ride.
Hi Ali nd worldwide friends has anyone suffer from sever Tigger on asthma or if it chronic in using moujuro meds very concern cuz I would like too be on it thanx gbs
My weight loss stopped in August and I started gaining weight. My primary care doctor wants to take me off the medication because my A1C is no longer diabetic. It's just so insane. I asked him to up my dose and he wants to take me off it. Before this my A1C was 6.8 and now it's 5.3. I've lost 50 pounds but would like to lose more.
Yes🙌🏾 Comparison is 100% the thief of joy. This is a great reminder for everyone wherever you are in your journey. A lot of work but I am "running and gunning" right along with you at my little 40 lbs down 🏃🏾♀️🏃🏾♀️🔫🔫 Get your 🦆army in formation ! 😂😂😂👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I have purchased a 3 month supply of compounded tirzapetide to stay ahead of the fight between Eli Lilly, FDA, and compounding pharmacies. I am titrating up slower than what they recommend. Can you talk about BUD dates and if I will have to discard before I finish a vial?
Orderly had a sale for new customers which allowed them to get a 3 month supply. I am going to titrate up VERY slowly since I’m losing weight on the lower dose.
Great video... I have a question.. is it that the dose that may not be responding because its not giving appetite supression and stopping food noise or does Zepbound at higher doses actually work better with weight loss? Does that question make sense?
There are a lot of different factors. Some ppl never have appetite suppression and the meds still help them lose weight. Because it gets your body working with you instead of against you
Hi Ali can u please research or have I am a person that strat sever hypersevity asthma only quote when I ran into chemical like house pain and get twice bronhspams bt ok I would too strat moujuro for pre diabetes and off courses weightlose like 30lb bt am terrified because of Wat I explain has anyone experienced anything like me thanx gbs
How does an increased dose make the weight come off? Is it because you land up eating less? So it's just reduced calories? Or is it actually the meds that makes the weight drop?
Sooo…how does a higher dose make you lose more weight? Assuming you eat as clean/low calorie/no sugar ect ect, and excercise to capacity 3-4x a week? If food and excercise remain the same, does higher dose do anything?
If you don’t lose at lower doses, once you find the dose that works you will lose weight. So it doesn’t make you lose “more” it just makes your body work for you instead of against you
I haven’t lost for a couple of months I’m on 5mg but can’t successfully go up to 7.5mg because the side effects are so bad ….what do I do now ? HBA1C is also starting to climb …help!
👍❤️⏮⏪◀️. 🐣🐥🦆‼️🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🐶🐩🐕. I needed this video- my appointment with a Glp-1/diabetes dietitian is finally this week, it’s been 2 months to get in the demand is so high. 🎉 my primary doctor has no clue about the strategy needed, I met a person walking around the neighborhood who kept losing weight and learned about her “team”- endocrinologist, dietitians, etc at our local hospital’s diabetes center. I’m thankful for your support and am hoping to get the added benefit of this local resource. I’m still on 5.0, 36 weeks, down 26 pounds, A1c down to 5.6; 71 years old ❤
People gain muscle by exercising not by eating protein People need to speak to medical professionals not listening to the internet. Your an amazing person and I celebrate your success but every one is different 😊😊
Um….I talked about both? Protein also keeps your body from eating your muscle. And I start off by saying see a dietician. Sometimes I wonder if ppl are really watching🤦♀️
Wow 103 lb weightloss thats amazing! 🎉Congrats
I love your point by point break down
I didn’t lose anything till 10 mg but now it’s coming off, thank you for making this video

Do you think menopause slows the weight loss down? 🤔
Don’t forget, not every week feels the same, so next week might be better! Try a different injection site❤️
Great video! Thank you
Plus, you MUST exercise, if it’s only walking. 🚶♀️ If you’re able to because it doesn’t take much. 57LBS down (Mounjaro 5MG)

Great video 🎉🎉🦆🦆🦆🦆🦤🦤🦤🦤😂😂😂
I made a deal with myself to use my standing desk for all meetings. I have a coworker who does it too so we can hold each other accountable.
Great idea!!!!

I sometimes under eat even unintentionally and then I get dizzy and not feeling well. Our bodies need nutrition and not starve ourselves.
Still waiting for the right dose. Currently at 5 with no weight loss.
