    So awesome Christian.
    There's a lot of opportunity to add some dynamic stuff with some simple microcontroller programming. Imagine the turbo sounds being activated when the accelerometer detects you start moving above a certain threshold. Also, you could make a more sophisticated random sample replay, perhaps grouping them into event buckets and picking one at random when an event occurs. Also trivial to add a cooldown so it doesn't replay too often.
    Happy to help out if you want to start exploring the possibilities.

    • @Catonzo
      @Catonzo ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lordmatthewlukeobrien This is exactly the truth. Nostalgia is treated far too much like some sort of "Oh, you can't let go and grow up".. but this could not be further from the truth. I am 36 and I refuse to let go of the things that I enjoyed as a child.. but I am fully aware of my responsibilities and I do my part as an working adult. I just am happier than most because I find joy in the same things I did as a child and I nurture that feeling every chance I get. I may not build tree huts myself any longer, but I walk around into the woods and to the places I were as a child and have my nostalgia hits.
      Nostalgia must be savored. You need not be controlled by it simply because you willingly seek it out. Personally I encourage it strongly.

      @@Catonzo Well I did grow up, and let the corporate machine sap out the majority of my zeal for life through the process of becoming a "fully (fooly?) grown adult" to where I lost sight of the creativity and and sense of wonder working and studying had drained me of.
      Over the last month or two I have pretty much retraced all my childhood steps and taken in the changes that have occurred over the years whilst at tge same time reigniting the spark and imagination, my "inner child" so to speak inside me which had long laid dormant.
      And as a result I am happier, and probably look younger based on feeling like a teenage punk rocker once more.

    Oh Christian, thank you so much for this awesome looking video, it's certainly coming on. You're clearly on cloud 9 in this. And have to say at the end you struck a canny resemblance to Michael himself, in your 80s shades. So cool you got William Daniels to send you a personal video. I loved every second of this and so look forward to your future improvements and videos. You lucky lucky boy you👍😁 OMG, just double checked, William Daniels is still alive and in his 90s, going strong. You absolutely need to get him on your channel while he's still with us, and find out all the behind the scenes. Did he actually meet with David much. Get them both on and reunite them for a KITT special 😁👍

    A good way to make stand offs or cushions to press loose panels into place is to buy a foam Yoga Block. They are made out of a dense foam and you get a lot of it. You can cut bits off the block that are just the right size with a razor knife and use hot glue or double sided tape to fix it to the PCB or panel and it will provide a firm stand off that won't cause damage if you press a little hard. They are usually very cheap and you get a lot of material to use for all kinds of repairs!

      @@RetroRecipes Yes, I would think that's how you can realize a real KITT, but I was thinking what kind of new advanced tech they would have on it... Back when this show was on, this tech was out of reach, so what out-of-reach tech would there be if they were making the show today... that's plausible... Okay here's 2 ideas I have: for example a camouflage stealth mode that the car's skin blends in to the surroundings so you couldn't be easily detected, or deployable drones with cameras and 2-way audio, that kind of stuff...

      @@RetroRecipes Have you seen those videos about how they made a car disappear with LED technology? Imagine you can make the KITT car in stealth mode drive up to the bad guys hideout and at a press of a button it would disappear!
      I'm sure you've seen that trick before, it depends on the viewing angle and such, but it is technology that we're just barely able to make work today. But imagine transparent, flexible OLEDs that conform to the body of a car, when switched off it looks like a glossy coat of paint, when turned on, cameras and AI make the OLEDS project what's behind the car and sides, top, and front in 360 to disappear. It's the stuff of Sci-Fi! Again it's a made-for-TV kind of gimmick.
