I like the colour coded tabs for the correct poles. Makes it easier to assemble when arriving at camp after dark. More tents (and swags) should use this system.

These swags pitched really well, nice ant taught without being so tight that the clips are hard to do up, and the fabric sits really nicely. They have been well designed. ~ Ben

Oh dude I haven't watched one of these tent demos in ages I forgot how good it is to watch you demo a tent.

I like the intro. Ben is the Liam Neeson of tent set up. Thankyou for demonstration the by the time your packing it away I can see its a high quality product that I would enjoy calling it my own. 5 clips on the ridge pole, I'd experiment by just using 1, 2 or 3.

These are great swags/tents, or maybe a 'swents', Mark, and they are made really well. ~ Ben

This thing looks great .. Is a bit complex to setup though .. As when i swag it I like it simple as it can get .. My swag is just role it out an 1 pole over the head end to keep it of your face .. That's it .. once my camper is level I can set it up in about the same time .. But this has quite a few advantage over my good old basic swag ..

I wonder how small it would pack down without the matress inside. It's ridiculously large packed compared to significantly larger tents. Seems like a really well made product though.

This is more of a swag than a tent. I reckon it would pack down to at least half the size without the mat though. ~ Ben

Hi Ben. Might be a bit off topic here however. I have a fairly simple swag without a PVC bucket floor. I found ultimate comfort by having the swag on a darche xl stretcher. With a 50mm mat I'm warm and comfortable BUT. On my last camp. It rained on and off all night. Water must have been pooling along the lowest seam and soaked into my bedding so I woke at around 5 to wet hips. Brrrr. I think my only option is to cover this setup with a tarp. I then worry about noise. Can you suggest something to provide the waterproofing but limit noise when it rains? Thanks

You probably won't avoid the pitter patter of rain no matter what setup you go for, but I'd be inclined to use a lightweight shelter over the top of your swag. Something like the Hiker Fly from Oztrail (www.snowys.com.au/hiker-fly) is an affordable option that won't have the same noise as a poly tarp and will pack up smaller.
You can set this up between trees or cars, carry a couple of awning poles or even just drape it over you if it starts raining.
      Them's my thoughts anyway.

If it is the seam you can get seam seal to just brush along the seam .. There is also full re seal to coat your whole swag .. Liberaly coat it on and leave it to soak In. Can't remember what it's called but I had to do it to an old old canvas tent I have .. good as new after it ..

@@samhaveaguess4284 thanks for the info. I've thought about that. It was literally due to a pool of water sitting on the lowest seam and cotton bedding and mat against that. Probably makes sense to seam seal anyway and I think I'd go a tarp as well if there is rain forecast.

Another issue with having a second layer that needs to be pegged to the ground is it can't be used on a stretcher. It should at least have hooks with elastic at each corner where you can hook it to the swag itself. Again this product wasn't thought through by people who actually camp regularly

Will the tent company ship to the States?

I just purchased this swag today and a bit disappointed. Generally with a swag you can fit all your bedding inside and still roll it up & fit it in the bag. That's why swags are convenient. Say you were heading out with a mate & you'd throw your swag in his car & an esky. Now you also have to make room for your bedding separately. This is the downside to tents generally. Although you get more room in a tent and also have the separate layers it's expected you can't fit bedding in when packing away. Hence why a single person or couple would generally choose a swag over a tent. This product wasn't thought through & not enough research went into how people actually use swags. That second layer also doubles the setup time when it could have easily been attached to the swag like every other swag on the market. A swag is supposed to be a quick and easy setup VS a tent. Great video though as always. I was planning on reviewing this swag but since using it I can't recommend it
