Great set of goals. My absolute footballing hero growing up, I just wish it was acknowledged that he played in cup competitions too. Some of his best goals are forgotten, cos they weren’t scored in the prem.
Matt brought the adage "form is temporary, class is permanent" to a completely different level. Great privilege to see his playing days.
They say you know when you are watching the Greatest's of all Time when time slows down and they make it look easy.
Watching him control the ball & score reminds me of Dennis Bergkamp. What a great player he was
He is absolutely brilliant and underrated
Honestly never heard of him and now wonder why? Such amazing skill and character.
6 with the right, 4 with the left. Le Tiss could bang with either foot. Too many players today can't shoot with both.
As a Leeds fan he is undoubtedly thee best midfielder ever and genuine loyal one club person. So underrated well done Sir Matt. He's a real good guy as well
And this man played for the national team just a FEW matches duaring his career.... God damn, HOW? A guy who was ahead of his generation
For me he had that genius that gazza had. No thought at all about what he was doing next he just took the ball as it came and conjured pure magic. Very underated and could have played in any team in europe from 92 to 97. Gem of a man too.
Le Tissier is the player people thought gazza would become.
Love how you see the fans in the Kop at Liverpool applaud his goal. Class.
He did it effortlessly.
What a player he was!
I'm a Pompey fan, but I loved the Big Man ,great player and good on him staying loyal to one club even though it was .......
Sensacional . I am fan brasilian . 👏👏👏👏👏👏🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
reminds me bergkamp, ginola, djalminha...jorge felipe loureiro, pure creativity...missing this kind of players now...
I remember watching his fantastic goals on ESPN Classic...good old days
He made the world class defense of Manchester United including Schmeichel look like a bunch of amateurs. He was that good.
world class lol
what a load of boll*x, Ferdinand would have smashed him to bits
@@shesbaldbutiwould At that time, it was a very good defence. Probably not completely world-class, but still excellent. And Schmeichel was probably one of the best keepers in Europe back then.
@@comicfellow Very good by what standard? used to get ripped in Europe from what i remember unless it qualifies as very good because it could keep Chris Sutton and the like quiet (sometimes)
@@shesbaldbutiwould ucl finals, winning the premier league multiple times.. we get it you hate United, doesn’t mean you have to lie.
Above all....a man of principle.
Yep. But we can't talk about that.
👍
@@kennethocongerskin9460 Of course we can. Just don't give a shit what the loonies think 🙂 I get your point though. Stay sane my friend!
@@TB..... Cheers man. You stay safe. Matt put himself in the firing line by speaking out and he got shot down. I'm sure in time he will be proven right. Sadly. He was pretty good with a football too.
Great player and wonderful human. Surprised that morally bankrupt Southampton haven't taken the video down. Go Matt.
Pole here
My favorite EPL player of all time. Loyal to 1 club. Admitted on some on-the-side betting action for extra monies (keep ball after throw-in), but never betrayed the team, always played to win. Legend.
skill to equal his integrity.
He the g, o, a, t. End of, so glad I attentended the old Dell and witnessed this genius. He will always my fav player ever. Bloody nice chap too. ❤
Alors lui c'était un diamant comme j'en ai rarement vu comme joueur !
Great player great man love his views .
One of the classiest, most gifted English players in history. They are so few in number compared to other nations. Now that he's been branded an anti vaxer, I like him even more now! Hope he keeps at it!🙏👍
