What a great answer about pacing. Those jokers on Letsrun can make some really stupid commentary when it comes to Jakob. They consider his Olympic 1500 win an apparition because Timothy Cheruiyot lead most of the way even though the history of the 1500 in Olympic level meets the someone who leads from the beginning and try's to lead all the way rarely win. So was the luck, that John Walker, Coe, Noureddine Morceli, Hicham El Guerrouj, going all the way back to Kip Keino who was paced off of Ben Jipcho, to win. Were they just lucky and needed pacers to be great. Those letsrun guys are just not very smart when it comes to their comments about Jakob. I love his answer to them here :)

Some people on let's run are absolutely delusional- they knock jakob and other elites, when they themselves come nowhere near this man's level.

It is ridiculous that there is Worlds this year; it was last year. They are not supposed to be every year. They should scrap it and let the runners go for fast times.

      Here's what happened.
The Olympics were supposed to be held in 2020, but were postponed to 2021 due to Covid.
2021 was supposed to be the year of the Worlds, but that was moved to 2022 cz we can't have both in the same year. This year's Worlds were already in the books from the usual bi annual schedule same for the Olympics next year.

Little by little he has consistently been lowering his times. Still not below 3.27.00 though. This can be done this year or never.

He’s a good runner. These shoes, these tracks, these trainings, the alimentation are much better then those of 1999. It’s bene proven that shoes shave off 1 second per kilometer. It means that his time is worth 3:28,5, by the way very good as well. Once Ingebrigtsen can run sub 3:24,5 I’ll say is the WR holder.

    • @Trackstaa_
