I have Rite-in-the-Rain refills but also picked up a few ink refills from Value Village a used thrift store. You can also get Plus scales as some call it for your SAK that will hold a pen. I took a photo of a Heetsheet being used by homeless in our largest city in Canada. I went out and bought about 15 of these blankets when I saw that they went China made, hunted down all the USA made ones. Having stored them in my home, they will be inspected for damage before being put in any kit heading out. Really enjoy your series. I have decent tin survival kits but have been branching out to multi-pocket survival kits. Your past articles have added self rescue/E&E gear to my kits.
It is a pocket survival kit. That means you can put a Heetsheet and poncho in one pocket, signal kit in another, fire kit in a third pocket. This is what he carries, you hike your own hike and make your kit to suit you. That is the entire point of the video series.
@@canadafree2087 thanks for that but that does not address the other issues I pointed out in chat like redundancy for fire and also the fa t that if you don't have water your not going to be in a position to signal also that whistle ain't going to be heard above the engines of a plane
