Ian Rousell you have knock this build clear out of the park over the bleachers As a retired fire fighter it just speaks we are on it fantastic fabrication as always 3 weeks build incredible Bill 1954 AR110 International sidestep pickup custom Queensland Australia 🇦🇺
A piece of flat steel welded at the ends of the hose hangers, just going up, is the only thing missing. Then the hoses could be left on during transport. You always do amazing work!
Back in the early 60's, here in the UK, I discovered Hot Rod magazine (Yeah, I'm a fossil) and one article was a competition between volunteer, fire crews. It was like a drag race with additional activities, like managing the hoses and employing the ladder. Some of those makeshift, fire trucks were really wild, right down to big old slicks. Ian's hot rod fire truck would have fitted right in.
Man you're an artist I'm sure glad to have found this channel I've been blown away with just how cool these vehicles have changed and turned into head Turner's with that WOW factor. keep up these great builds I'm solid and happy to watch these crazy changes into something totally cool working art.
You make it look so simple, I know it's not but you're an inspiration for me to move ahead,! I appreciate your recognition of the people who help you. Good job!
Fire truck just needed a bell or two & should've painted the back interior black & mounted old school fire fighting tools.Apart from that I love it & everything else Ian has created over the years. Greetings from sth Australia 🇦🇺 👍 🦘🐪🪃
THANK YOU IAN for fixing the truck initial layout, was driving me nuts and I hoped someone would catch the body line /profile problem- And you did - ever the master blaster - well done Sir well done. Both you guys did a fantastic job on this -
Looks just like my buddy Kelly's firetruck. It was an icon at the Rat City Rukus. He even got it on the cover of some rat rod rag I can't remember the name of.
In Russell is the master of car design he takes rusted out vehicles and turn them in the amazing custom Creations I mean come on he does things that other people just wouldn't dare to do is it really keep it up because he's becoming a cult status in my personal opinion enough said
There's an accumulated junk yard on the outskirts of Ryan, Iowa Full, I mean full of old vehicles, hovercraft, cars, trucks, old panel trucks, owned my an old guy who Can't get around anymore he's almost 93, you should come here and look around for a couple rescues. The guys last name is Hennessey the guy was a House Representative at one time you might be able to make a haul
The back looks like u used a cheap wood print Linoleum and it was probably because you had a time crunching I understand that but probably we would have looked a lot better if you were to used some pallet wood on it
LOL he asks IF it's safe to put airplane stuff on A truck ??? LOL Bro. Another story about the guys coming home from WW2 THE HYDRAULICS That They used on their cars to make them bounce were landing gear from Airplanes LOL yea BRO Big time 😎😎😎 bro I absolutely love the VW your building And I'd love to make some kinda Deal with you when you're finished I love it from every detail AND ESPECIALLY THE SLOT RIMS YOU ARE RUNNING ON IT 🤩🤩🤩
You're completely confused. Hydraulics weren't used until the early 1970s and they came from delivery truck lift gates... the pumps at least. Up until the late 1960's lowering blocks and cut or heated coil springs were the lowering method and no they didn't "bounce" their cars before hydraulics were used.

Ian is probably my favorite hot-rod builder, just so laid back
And,and, and a chrome siren tastefully mounted, and a nice revolving light on a stalk. Beautifully executed

Ian Rousell should be a teacher.
He is if you go to his TH-cam .Ian is doing classes online and he's also doing them in person.
A water refillable fire extinguisher with a garden spray wand on it is perfectly for those little fires. Cost nothing to fill it…..
I like how bro just wings it
This is the direction for Ian part ways with Victora
U should be a wizard😊, The wizerd of...😅

If he messed up the grille they would only have to find an old farmall tractor (which are literally everywhere) and get the grille from it!
👍👊
My Dad had a international cabover that was cool looking but it went to the scrap yard
Great work as usual Ian.
You need to put a siren and some red lights carousel
👍👌👏
👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👊👊

#hotrodfiretruck
Those rear tyres spoil the look but hey its not mine.
If i could heng off the pipe bender that pipe would not bend under my weigth.
