"You like the Defiance Throwing Spike because if the regular and Advanced Explosive Spikes, i like it for it´s Impact Spikes and 25% Overdraw, we are not the same!" Hunter´s Mark, you are not using the Hunter Bow anyway. You get 5 Arrows, you do not have to spend them all, and 1 last for 45-60 seconds, gives you 30% extra Crit Chance, and 300 extra damage on Removal of an Componant + some minor stuff. So Spike Thrower Crit Chance 15%, with Acid 30% with Hunter´s Mark 60%, will up with Coils, but the extra damage on removal will likely take care of the difference. The Acid + Hunter´s Mark (and Critboost) Combo is also the way to more out of Specter Gauntlet without negelecting Tear Damage. 10% Base, +10% from Acid = 20% ; Hunter´s Mark +30% = 50% Total or +55% crit boost for 75% total.
Interesting about the Hunter's Mark! Never even crossed my mind to use that one. I have actually floated around the idea of putting together a Specter Gauntlet build, so this is definitely something I'll look into.
@@chazmatazzgames For the Railgun part, try shot at legs without any Beacon (SRT = Specter Resonator Target, we like to use that). If KDP wprks, then most Heavies go down in two 2 shots. Railgun part is impact damage and pretty self explainary. SRT Blast Damage is not really working on PC so i can only vaguely share that tidbit: When Shooting at a SRT you Hit the SRT with the Railgun and not the Machine, so the initial Damage can only be buffed on Aloy´s side and not on the machines (weakspots, brittle, do not work for the Hit part).
The fun thing about the legacy's reach and defiance combo is that acid bombs don't count against your powershots count, so you can use them while you have it active. With low health and mounted archer, you can do something like 6k-7k damage with one spike without wasting ammo.
This is a totally different way to kill machines...I love it! I definitely want to give this approach a try myself. Thanks! Looking forward to what other creative approach you come up with!
I was a bit surprised to find that you can put both acid and frost on an enemy at the same time which really leads to some good damage numbers. Particularly with a bolt blaster using the ultra technique for multiple shots without reload and cheap ammo and lots of critical coils.
Oh good, I've been trying to figure out what to do with my Legacy's Reach, since I've found Blast Slings in general to be kinda mediocre. What are you using for your weaves? And why are you using the Carja Stalker Elite outfit? It doesn't have any bonuses for elemental damage or critical hits. Or are you just using that for the appearance while actually wearing some other outfit? My current build is a Tenakth Tactician with two Elite Low Health Ranged weaves for a mounted low-health build, and it's insanely overpowered. I'm not sure I could insta-pop machines like you do, though. Excellent video, thanks for finding new and creative builds!
Yeah, for my armor, in the video I'm mostly using the Carja Stalker Elite because it's just one of my favorites :) but the armor for the build doesn't really matter as much. There are definitely better ones out there. For coils, I'm using 2x Elite Weapon Technique coils. Since I mostly use the Splitting Spike technique in this build, it helps fill up the stamina meter so much faster. But you could definitely swap out the armor for one that already has increased stamina or even valor surge master. And you're definitely right about a low-health build! by far one of the most powerful builds in the game. Ironically it's also one of the best for defense too. You're pretty much invincible when in low health!
You just need to replace the two Elite Acid Coil, Options: Plain 15% acid coils will do the trick, but Overdraw (No sticky bombs then); Concentration will do the trick too. There are other ways too but are more involved to like Melee Follow Up or Knockdown Damage. If you are not NG+, the next best option is the Corrosive Blastsling, you can buy it or find it for free (requries flying mount).
Yeah, like Paris mentions, most of this build relies on being in NG+, so that's the more important piece to get the Legacy's Reach and the Defiance (but there are also alternatives to those as well). Swapping out the Elite Acid coils for regular acid coils still works pretty good to build up acid. You're missing out on the extra Explosive damage from the coil, but you can definitely make due without it.
Sorry to say that but your playing level must be pretty low, if heavy machines die within one or two shoots. Additionally, it would be far easier to use a warrior bow like carja's bane with crit coils and use 5 arrows weapon technique in low health and defying death and one of the low health suits. that way you kill any machine in very short time, even in ultra hard. And you would save the time to first set a machine in corroding state and then to use a quite unprecise weapon technique like split spikes. All in all I really would like to see more videos from you in ultra hard. Everybody can handle the lower playing levels, there's nothing special about it, especially with new game plus weapons. You are welcome to take a look on my ultrahard fights with the waterwings and bileguts on my channel.
I think the whole point of this series is to try different set ups. Of course there are other ways, and some are more efficient, or more (insert your idea of fun here), but doing the same thing every time can get boring. Hence the "here's a build you might not have thought of" and I love it.
@@sherrieniedziocha9530 Sure but why not try that on ultra hard? That would be much more exciting and chaz is no beginner. And on easy levels ANY set is efficient in some way. Just because the machines die that easy.
@@sherrieniedziocha9530 Heavy machines die too easy in his video, considering the used set of weapons (e.g. 2:17). The spikethrower isnt that effective on higher difficulty modes. Additionally on UH you don't see the health bar of the machines. I think he played something like normal or easy difficulty. Btw: The level number itself doesn't tell anything about the difficulty, since you simply can have several playthroughs on lower difficulty to reach that level. And except of UH you can change the difficulty mode at any time.

Just here to say your video editing is top notch. Thanks for another great video! 🤓

the acid trip lead in... Great!
i love acid this is awesome!!!
Love this! And yes, I'm ready to drop some acid :-) But when is the next Stray stream?
This trick is great for the last step
really great

Bro pushed acid to its limit
💯
So... Is there any way to make Fire and Traps/Tripcasters viable?
What would the acid build be without the dlc? because if you are on ps4 or you cant buy the dlc yet then ppl want to have a different OP acid option

Well, from now on, I won't do anything without an acid coil
Brittle is better than acid in my opinion
Yeah, for just overall damage, you're not wrong. Frost is OP for sure
these aloy face thumbnails😂😂😂😂😂
