I like the fact that you want to get those tail lights dialed in. If its worth doing its worth doing right.

In relation to your tailight housing and bezel fitting .Ive had my 55 since1969 & car was never hit in both tail light areas .Tail light fitment isnt great by no means from the factory but I guess it all depends on how picky you want to be .I mean mine are original and dont fit all around by no means evenly right from the getgo.Maybe this comment will make your job easier dont know. Either way looking fwd to your bodywork progress over the Winter...Glenn

Thanks very much for the comment. I've seen lots of 55's, but none that are really original. The one's that I've seen, the tail light fit, panel fit etc, were not great to say the least. However, it's hard to judge as the cars I've seen would have all had some work in their lives. It's good to hear that I'm not that far off normal. The car will be a worn in finish, and made to look like it's been around a while. That's the finish I prefer, but fortunately, it also gives me some room for imperfection. It's been a long project, but it's starting to look like a car. Thanks for watching.

Why did you put a hardtop floor pan in a sedan?
