I like the bug too! Everybody of a certain age has been in one. One of my childhood babysitters had one, nothing sounds like them. I say keep the bug content! A good cheap rust inhibitor is tranny fluid, it's easily cleaned off too
I like the bug too, but TH-cam doesn't. Thanks for the tip!
You have an awesome garage and a bunch of awesome vehicles ! Happy New Years !
Happy new year!
I’ve found giving old paint a quick once over with an 8 inch grinder and 40 grit, just to break the surface of the paint goes a long way to reduce the amount of time and consumables when stripping with a surface conditioning tool. You really don’t want to get to Metal with the grinder. Just skate across the top. Looking good Ed!
Thanks! I'll try that next time. Ugh, I just admitted a next time. Thanks for watching!
Keep the Slo Bug videos coming. Happy New Year to you!
I would like to, but it seems TH-cam doesn't like them. We'll see what the new year brings. Thanks for watching!
Happy New year! Looking forward to seeing the 55 progress.
Happy New Year! Lots of work to come. thanks for watching
The bug is great. Happy New Year/
Happy New Year! Thanks for watching.
Hello Ed Just discovered your channel and have been following the 55 chev work with interest! I admire your tenacity and desire to do things properly. Also use of PPE . I have a 55 210 with original paint and have noticed that the stock fittment of tail lights is less than perfect. All the best for 2024.
Thanks very much! Check out all the videos, there are a lot of them. I'm glad you enjoyed and appreciate that you noticed that I am trying my best.
Another great video Ed. Love that Model A. Although I may not be a bug guy. It is good to see and learn about different cars. Every car you work on we take something away from it. So in the future if I happen to purchase one. We know a little about it.
55 is looking great. Nice shop.
Happy New Year.
Thanks Al happy new year!
The old 55 has come a long ways lot of work but all worth it in the end. Well i guess there's never a end to them lol. Always something to do right.
Crazy weather here to not much snow at all this year yet. But im sure it will show up soon enough. Happy New Year to you and yours. Take care and stay warm Ed 👍🏻
Thanks Chris! It's coming along. Still nothing significant here for snow, but it's starting to get cold again.
I like the bug! 55 Will lk gd in primer.
I like the bug too, TH-cam doesn't. I'm pretty sure the 55 will look like hell in primer at first, but then I'll make it better. It's coming along nicely. Thanks for watching!
Happy new year Ed! I am hoping you will do a video and backstory on the model A. I am working on a 63 bug and a 86 ramcharger. Not restoring but refurbishing. Making it safe and reliable.
Safe, reliable and usable is the way to be. Not focused on perfection. I can do something on the Model A, I have a few videos on it, but they were a while ago. Thanks for watching and happy new year
Happy New Year Ed.
Happy New Year!
That VW looks good! I am a 'Vair guy first though heheh
thanks
Wow I like the bug also. Happy New Year Ed. I like your thought on enjoying what one has. My main goal for the early Spring is replacing the trans in my '38 Ford. It's getting tired, pops out of 2nd gear and sometimes it won't go into 2nd. Already bought a '39 trans (better synchronizers) for it. Need to order a clutch kit next.
I like the bug too, but for some reason the views are non existent. Trans swap sounds attainable, especially since you have a new trans already. What year did they get synchronized transmissions in Fords? I know my 29 doesn't have them. Happy New Year!
In 1939 Ford went to dual sync rings vs. a single sync ring for 2nd and 3rd. Also a double detent shifter from what I understand makes a smother shift into 2nd and 3rd.@@SlowCarFix
Will you be replacing the Corvair's auto trans with a 4-speed manual? If so, please TH-cam it all in detail.
I won't be converting that car. I enjoy it being a PG. They're quite enjoyable. I have done that conversion in the past. It's a big job, but not difficult. Hardest part is all the little things to make it correct. I have other manual Corvairs.
Whats going on with the bug?
can't talk about the bug, or nobody will watch this video. Anything with the bug gets 0.0 views
Malibu’s not a G body. 😂
Yours isn't..
Your too. But I’m working on Ford’s now
