Hey, I'm the 14 year old kid who lived in Beijing that commented on your last video in China. Sadly my family moved out of China this summer but I've actually been to Zhangzhajie before in 2022. I went to most of the places in the national park shown in the video, including the elevators and saw the exact same views which you saw of the mountains. Love your videos, and it was so cool to see all the places in this video which I have been to. Congratulations with the pregnancy, and hitting 100.000 subscribers!
The most breathtaking scenery of Avatar Mountain isn't when the sky is clear and sunny. That's nice, but not as mesmerising. It's when the bottom half of the mountains are shrouded in a sea of clouds. That's when you truly feel as if the peaks are floating mid air. You'll be very lucky if you had gone at the right time to see this. It doesn't happen very often.
Wow, thanks for showing the world these amazing places in China. Absolutely stunning. I live in Toronto, man we are sooooo far behind in our TTC (subway).
Almost all Chinese mountains have cultural artefacts and temples, which makes mountain climbing more like worship trip or museum visits, rather than just hiking.
If you like mountains and want more, be sure to go to Huashan, or Mt. Hua (Shaanxi Province) and Fangjinshan, Mt. Fangjin (Guizhou Province). Both are amazing combinations of stunning natural scenery and Chinese culture.
simply amazing scenery along the river and Zhangjiajie, I been to Zhangjiajie once and spent 3 days there, it's the most beautiful scenery i ever seen, honestly three days isn't enough, it's so huge I hope could go there again spend more days and I also missed the world's longest glass bridge. Btw, funny thing share with you one monkey stole all my snacks and drinks while I was resting, a lot of monkeys jump around.
I've been here too. It's stunning the amount of infrastructure the Chinese can build into the natural environment. It's like being at an amusement park in the mountains.
I did the same tour but on a different boat that took a few days longer. I did see that longest glass bridge and all the sights you saw too. It's truly a bucket list adventure. Thank you, your videos are much better than mine too. 👍👍👍
After watching your video of Yangtze River cruise and ZJJ, i was inspired to do a tour with itinerary like yours. Finally did it last month. I must say ZJJ is really a beautiful place. Thank you.
Congratulations on the new baby-traveller! Also HUGE Congratulations on hitting 100,000 subscribers!!! ~Ray (P.S. You're lucky that you survived the "use of the middle name" there on the cable car!)
It’s so interesting to see your video as a local from Zhangjiajie. Honestly to say. The scenery here is unique and magnificent but it’s getting too commercial to truly indulge oneself in nature and get the joy of exploring.
That’s awesome and congratulations to both on your pregnancy. Poor Chloe looks so tired but she’s such a great trooper 😊 Jordon you have a little mischievous streak in you lol 😂 again Chloe is a great trooper 😂. I can’t get over how Lennon has grown and his hair has grown so much, beautiful 🤩 great to see you guys and an awesome video too.
Also, another reason why Fengdu is called ghost city is that, according to the folktale, Fengdu is where the gate of underworld(or hell) located. In this case, people should avoid visit Fengdu during ghost festival of China since the gate opens during the festival 😂
Big Kid in the adventure! The best part is that when you wanted to jump on the cable car your wife's reaction. Nice and funny man, enjoy the time in China, and hope you get your wife overly exercised.
That's it - another one for my bucket list! How did you organise the trip [from Chongqing, the river cruise & the Zhangzhajie mountains] ? Thx for posting - I really enjoyed it.

Reminds me of my visit in Northern Vietnam last summer, Sapa village, 25 min cable car ride and climbing highest peak in Indochina- Fansipan. Take care, Jarek
Ironically I’ve only ever seen this on my Apple TV screensaver (TH-cam is mainly watched on this device) and found it amazing. So it’s sort of linked to watching your videos.
It’s cool seeing Lennon here and on the cruise. Everyone loves him. The Chinese people touching his hair 😆. I couldn’t do the cable car. I was scared of the one in London that’s not even that high.
Jordan, I took this same cruise in 1998 before the water levels rose to the level you experienced. My favorite stop was Xiao San Xia (Little Three Gorges), and my food was better than yours. Obviously just a difference in the company I chose vs. the one you chose. Bus from Yichang to Wuhan and then flew back to Beijing, where I was working for China Daily. Periodically the guide pointed out (in English as well as Chinese) the lines drawn to show how high the water level was going to be once the dam was completed. Quite a few villages had to be evacuated because they were below the lines.
Amazing Journey very beautiful Yangtze River nice scenery view thank you for sharing. Hope you and your families safe travels and enjoy it. From California
Hi, Jordan. We started watching your channel with your Everest base camp trek. We are now hooked! Would you mind sharing what that little hand-held mic was that you were carrying around in this one. The audio is quite good! I assume it uses an SD card? I would love to get one of those! Keep up the great videos!
Or you can just go to Pandora - World of Avatar in Disney's Animal Kingdom Park in Walt Disney World Resort. lol All kidding aside... this is awesome! What an adventure! Congratulations on your next chapter!
Cool video! I mean really cool! Furturemore, had not expected that a foreigner could speak Chinese and know so much about China, especially given that you don't seem used to the food. I don't see anything on your page explaining how you got so good. Could you share more?

Vancouver is better than Toronto
