I am not opposing camping or making the some sections of the great wall for outdoor activities such as hiking. But protecting this historical site should be prioritized and I hope the authority and the local community can manage the the reactional use of the Great Wall better.
The wall is MASSIVE, upkeeping the whole thing would be hundreds of billions of dollars per year. I am a complete history buff, more than most and I'm all about preservation of our history, but there is just nothing like this in the world and it doesn't make sense to put that much money repairing all of it. They can use that money for other sites that are neglected in the less-traveled areas and trying to help change the tourism image of China.
I think this is in the gray area in terms of legality and that's why the companies wouldn't risk it but an individual could. The suspense and the breathtaking view combined to make a good video.
What an awesome experience! What scenery! I used to want to visit all 7 wonders of the world. I have been to one. I would love to travel to the rest of them in my lifetime.
reminds me back in 2005 when my class hiked the not so tourist part of the great wall and i had to climb these parts of stairs and i was already exhausted it was crazy definitely a once in a lifetime experience. next time i would like to hike the more tourist area because they are more maintained and easier for the average person to climb
i really hope China Gov restore this part of the great wall , serious too broken and too danger , if step on slippery parts , scary af , but the not yet restore parts of great wall still so beautiful !
Welcome to China, I have to remind, the map is totally wrong, Taiwan is a part of China all the time, because of USA, our civil war didn’t end since from the founding of China till now, CCP&KMT two different political parties need a clear, but in my opinion, CCP made China great again, however, KMP in Taiwan just want to separate Taiwan from China, because they know they don’t have a chance to win at all! Let me clear, my friend, Taiwan is a part of China, civil war didn’t end, we will see the end sooner. 1.4billion Chinese people won’t let anyone separate our land anymore ! Our the history of near 100years is dark, we will defend our land our country, no matter what happen, we only care who want to separate our land, we will get war with them, even it’s USA, we don’t care! let’s see who will win.
