Playing these again since release. I don’t hate ep2 as much as I did when I bought it back then and dropped it. I just ignore the changes voice acting and play the game. The combat is cool I don’t mind it
I agree. The dev team did the best they could with what they were given (which, if you know exactly what Ep. II went through, it was hardly anything) and though the game's not great if you compare it to Ep. 1 and III, it's perfectly serviceable on its own. And once you get past the steep difficulty spike in Sakura's memory world, the combat's fairly innovative and requires some good strategy.
Being a Xenoblade fan. I figured it'd be best if I watched Xenosaga to get a feel for what Monolith's past was like to get a feel for it. I watched all 7 hours. When it was over, "MY ASS TURNED INTO BUTTER!" (Touretts guy) But nah. This was pretty awesome. Glad to see they've always been awesome, lol.
I will, but i'm waiting to get a better computer. I did this on a dinky laptop and it took me 3 hours to record one hour, and that's before cutting out the game play parts. I decided i'll redo whole trilogy in 4k once i have that GTX 980 i hope to get in spring of 2015.
QuickSilver8Xf Well do you have a better computer now? Cuz I've been waiting half a year for you to upload the trilogy in 4K! Also how can I download the videos in higher than 720p? All the addons I have allow up to 720p.
Grace Kelly I unfortunately ran into some financial trouble. With luck i'll have a system with a 970 in it by November. If not then march when tax season happens.
With this video, i just searched through Cheat Engine for memory values that contained 640 and 480 and then edited the memory to change those values to 854 and 480 (there were like 6 or 8 iirc, and it broke the in game E-mail simulator which i just couldn't fix). With that i made a pnach file to use in PCSX2's cheat folder. Then i just stretched the now squished game to fit my screen and recorded. PCSX2 was then in charge of scaling the in game res based on it's GSDX settings. Today widescreen hacks are included in PCSX2, i haven't had to touch Cheat Engine for anything related to rendering since, just basic infinite gold and immortality in FF games and such. With this method i was actually able to render outside the game screen, then compress it horizontally into a 4:3 window which i just stretched to 16:9.

this animation style looks.... wrong. the characters have seem to have overly harsh outlines to them. i could be wrong but i recall the art style being more "soft", with less harsh transitions between colors.
That's what you get when you play games with color pallets edited/designed for CRT displays, and play/render them on modern displays It's a LOT more noticeable emulating 2D games like Castlevania. If you ever get a chance to do side by side with an old Sony Trinitron.
i want xenosaga remake for mobile devices and ps4 consoles....it has been 15yrs since i played this xenosaga series...
