I think your most beautiful film to date. Your films help to bring things back into focus, there is a stillness to them and they quieten this noisy chaotic world for the few moments that they last. Of course its nature and the places where you go that does that, but you have to capture it, and you do. The music during the first 4 minutes is perfect, music can make or ruin films, that was perfect.
Thanks Steve. I really appreciate your comments because that's exactly what I hope my films do - give a little bit of peace and calm in this crazy world. It's tricky choosing the right music. I'd love to use some more of yours!
Ok, so I fell in love with this area back in Spring 2018. Came back buzzing, with some nice images. But watching this one reminds me of the fact that you are demonstrating some of the best adventure filming available anywhere on You Tube. And it happens to be in MY country. I don't want to embarrass you by saying any more Jim. But keep bringing us your interpretations of our land. Can't wait for more. Stay safe. 👍
Love this. I always come off path after the reservoir and head up to the right to the hill directly above Tioram. If you’re ever up this way again you should check it out. Breath taking views over Loch Moidart and Kentra to the left
You've got a new subscriber. I'm so pleased I've came across your vids. For me you're up there with Yens, Kraig and Harmen for these type of 'silent videos' . Thanks for sharing and taking us along.
Thank you so much. Those are really kind comments - gives me a real lift and spurs me on to make more films. Aiming to improve them over time. Thank you.
Oooh, that framed view of Castle Tioram that comes in at 6.57! I think this silent hiking genre ought to be a film category at Cannes, or at the Oscars, I just love this kind of work.
Stunningly captured Jim, it's one of my favourite areas of Scotland. Guarded by the 17 mile long moat that is Loch Shiel, I always feel a sense of loneliness and solitude when I'm there. Beautiful 👍
Lovely film, and a place I'd love to visit in the fall. Can you comment on when this hike took place? Judging by the bracken, I thought late October, but would love to know more precisely. Thank you for all your effort to capture this on film.
Thank you. It was mid-November. Autumn was late this year and we didn't have as many gales as we normally have so the leaves (especially the oak) were still on the trees well into November. And it was unusually green in places still. Thank you for watching.
Every time a watch your films I get transported to another realm. The choice of music so perfect...
That's great to hear. Trying to make them as immersive as possible.

How beautiful, how quietly joyful this is.
Thank you ☺️
Excellent wee film superbly capturing a stunning corner of Scotland, really enjoyed, cheers Paul
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it. It's one of my favourite areas to wander. 🙂

I'll definitely check that out. I don't live too far away so I'll be there again before too long.
Great video Jim. Fantastic drone footage. Loved it.
Thanks 👍

The silver walk is a special place
For such a short walk it offers a lot.
Very nicely put together. Best wishes out there.
Thanks again. Nice to know my films are enjoyed out there 🙂
Resourie bothy is on ma list. Heard tales of a big cat stalking the area from experienced backpacker,s, some slept with the bothy spade close to hand!
Was at Resourie many years ago. Didn't have any big cat encounters luckily.

If they invite me to Cannes I guess I'd have to go. I cold make a film in the Mercantour National Park while I'm there.

Beautiful 👍
Thanks Tony. I know what you mean about the solitude. It's a great area for getting away from the crowds.
Good stuff 👏
Thank you!
Breathtaking scenery, beautifully captured. Glorious film, Jim.
Thank you. It's a beautiful area. Wish I had more time to film there!
Absolutely breathtaking scenery my friend 👏
Thanks 😊 It’s one of my favourite low level walks in that part of the world.

Hi Jim. Am a new subscriber and loving your videos. Would you mind providing a gpx route of this walk? Atb Stuart 👍🏻
Hi. Thanks for watching and subscribing. I could probably sort that out. Leave it with me and I'll see what I can do.
