Thanks Chad ,good video! I would like to add that the more line you have out the slower your boat will drift so you can speed up or slow your drift by adding or taking in line!
With the bow anchored, they can be used in current to pin the back of the boat steady, without the safety risk of dropping an anchor off the stern in current

Good video. I fish from a kayak and I've been thinking about starting to use a drift sock. I've got the option of getting one bigger one or two smaller ones. I'll use an anchor trolley kit to attach it to. Any thoughts on whether I should go with 1 or 2 drift socks? I'm typically dealing with pretty high winds and this will be helpful not only catfishing, but also drop-shotting for other species or spider rigging for crappie.
Ok. I've got a 10 foot kayak, so I'll probably go with the one that's for an 18 foot boat. Might be overkill, but as you said it's better to be too big that too small.
Great video.....No carp, No advertising, No production, No bullshit.
LOL
"NO CARP" lol love it
Thank you for a very well explained example of using a drift sock. Very informative.

Thank you for your video. Very helpful in determining what size to buy.
Thanks
Came looking for rigging instructions, none here...
Would a drift sock be used as an anchor?
Or during harsh weather would it be any helpful
No, not used as an anchor.

Would this be a good call for a paddleboard? Or would an anchor be better?
I don't think so
Do you need one or two socks to drift sideways? Where to tie up the sock to the boat in different drift situations?
+Catamaran too One will work for most boats in less wind. In windier conditions you might need two. Where to tie them can vary from boat to boat.
Thanks for the reply and instructions.
:)
Spent more time looking at the Like this hit the button than the drift sick ........
I am an older guy not done much drifting Good to know & I`ll remember
louis scott Thanks

I'd go with bigger Jason Peak

Can you use this to slow troll speed?
Yes
Couldn't you just put a pool noodle on 1-2 of the lines to keep it up
On the drift sock?
"I have a very big boat" but no room to fight a fish or move around.. :/
