Delbert McClinton and Austin City Limits, are the most enduring and wonderful piece of American music, and there's lots of those. Not so much now, but then. An era now gone, but not forgotten, for sure. Immortalized, thank you internet.

If he doesn't get in the R&R Hall of Fame they need to burn the S.O.B.. down because there is no justice. Delbert........You Da Man!! Thanks for a lifetime of memories. Seriously
I first saw Delbert at the Sundown West in Ruston, Louisiana while attending LA Tech U. in the mid-70's. They would turn the pool tables on their sides and lean 'em up against the wall. Great music and great times. We have seen him all over the south in the past 40 years. Still dig the music.

The funk in this jam is straight up stanky-funky with a heavy dose of brass-kickin’ saxy sax, ear-piercing trumpets, and thumping’ bass guitar…amazing performance!✌️🎤🔥🎺😎

That's crazy to see people up going wild like that on Austin City Limits. Mostly seems like people just stand there but this is pretty rocking for an episode of that!

Killer horn section. Just beastly.
Sick.
The true definition of heavy metal, a big horn section with a fat sound!
I have yet to find a musical genre apart from acapella that isn't made better for having a good horn section behind it.
Spotted my Denton buddy Steve Hermann on Trumpet! Thought he might have been involved...

The tongues of my Bose speakers are hanging down on the floor after that badass sax break. I had to throw water on 'em to cool 'em down.
Sax sounds good on Bose because they're great mid-range speakers...no highs, no lows-buy Bose! LOL
Get Tannoys then - you won't regret it, trust me ;)
