    Lyrics:
Baby, here I am, I'm a man on the scene
I can give you what you want but you got to go home with me
I've got some good old loving and I got some in store
When I get through throwing it on you you got to come back for more
Boys and things that come by the dozen
But that ain't nothing but drug store loving
Pretty little thing, let me light your candle
Cos’ mama, I'm sure hard to handle, now, yessir'am
Action speaks louder than word and I'm a man of a great experience
I know you got you another man but I can love you better than him
Take my hand, don't be afraid, I wanna prove every word I say
I'm advertising love for free, so won't you place your ad with me?
Boys will come a dime by the dozen
But that ain't nothing but ten cent loving
Pretty little thing, let me light your candle
Cos’ mama I'm sure hard to handle, now, yessir'am
Baby, here I am, I'm a man on the scene
I can give you what you want but you got to go home with me
I've got some good old lovin’ and I got some in store
When I get through throwin’ it on you you got to come back for more
Boys will come a dime by the dozen
But that ain't nothing but drug store loving
Pretty little thing, let me light your candle
Cause mama, I'm sure hard to handle, now, yessir'am
Give it to me, I got to have it
Give it to me, good old loving

Courtney Hadwin brought this tune to new height and level that no one ever has. Thanks to Otis for this tune, but we have give credit to the way Courtney has given this tune a new life and electric energy that was not there before her awesome performance. Her cover of this tune was epic and will from now be the bench mark for this tune.

You cannot sound more stupid. What a shame. Otis Redding was king of soul who influenced music history and you are comparing him to the girl who is just learning how to sing. I'm amazed.

I agree! I just came across Courtnry Hadins version and played it 10x because i wished she had done the whole song. I think Otis would've said Wow! and gave his approval over a little white girl belting out his song. And flattered. I think.

My name is Carl as well, and I came hear to hear Otis sing as this is one of my favorite, but let me say this, the first thing I said to a friend of mine as we were watching Courtney sing this song was "Man this little chick is channeling Janis. He replied Hell to the yea, and then Howie started in on his story and we both immediately knew who he was talking about before he even said her name and we in shock that we weren't the only ones thinking this. I would really love to hear her sing 'Piece of my Heart' I bet she would kill it with that song!!!!

Sadly I think its slightly rooted in racism :( a lot of black artists were either mocked during the 50s or 60s or their style was taken by more appealing people like elvis presley. I dont think the cover of this song was meant to be as racist since it was covered much later, but just explaining as to why the original wasn't super popularized. Many several black artists from that time have explained their problems with the racism they faced. So thankful it has gotten better since then in some regard
