In todays video we missed a bullet and the 370z almost blew up. We prevented that by re doing the gallery gaskets and resealing everything on the Nissan 370z.

I definitely did my gallery gaskets myself, not bad of a job and was in definite need for the job. BUT, it would have been a ton of help watching him explain his steps and tricks. Try to throw out a few process tips/vids at the LMT shop bro!

Can the oil pump be replaced while doing the oil gallery gasket? I read somewhere the upper oil pan needs to be removed?
My cam phases failed due to bad oil gallery gaskets! Thankfully the car did not kaboom but was definitely a weird limp mode, car would just fall flat on its face above 3500 rpm

hi. I bought a chiseled crankshaft and then bought inserts for it. I also changed the gallery gaskets. I measured the pressure on a 5w40 synthetic and showed 0.75 bar (11 psi) when fully warmed up. Is it not enough? are the liners bought after buying a wasted crankshaft to blame for everything?

Got all the stuff to do the gallery gasket for my 2011 with 70K on the clock. I'm also replacing the water pump and thermostat since those do fail. looks like a royal pain in the arse but I can do it.
never heard of a water pump failing on g35's or g37's.

You’re doing a Boundary or SuckerPunch oil gear pump gear set right?
Theres no need for any internal parts since we are not revving past 7700rpm

Do you realize that it’s 3 weeks away, and chances are he’s at least a few days ahead of what we see. We might see his car not working rn but this video was filmed at least a week ago. Yes I did actually watch the video. He fixed the problem. And the it did not almost blow up…now if he tuned it yes but they had not yet gotten to that point.

bro i have that same oil cooler kit don’t use that mobil one oil filter use an stp filter because they have a better sealing on the oil filter since it’s bigger and thicker then mobil one and won’t leak anything

Confused... you said two different things: 1. They fail because they're paper and Z's hotter oil temp doesn't mix well with paper and 2. They fail because the screws back out "but the paper is just as good as metal". I'm guessing you meant the latter, though Nissan's fix for 2014+ models was supposedly just the upgraded gasket, not merely lock-titing the screws, which would support statement 1 instead. If that is the case, would not an oil cooler eliminate most of the issue and spare some people the trouble of the gasket upgrade? I mean I see no reason not to do both, but in the interest of doing the most effective modification first, I want to be sure, and now that I think of it, didn't 2012+ models come factory with an oil cooler? So the question would be, are the 2012 and 2013 models seeing this failure, or is it primarily 2009-2011 prior to the stock oil cooler?
paper sucks, but none of them were properly tightened from the factory. This is a pretty rare failure on DEs and they have the same gaskets.

Please don’t spread false information, its not whp that kills motors its the torque, this will make around 450wtq, far less then what other companies are running these too with zero problems

Making around 750 and I didn’t mention torque because I thought you people would assume. Also it’s not false the stock block on the VR37 can handle up to 700 Further power upgrades would need, rods and pistons 🤦🏻♂️. Also would be needing a full engine built 😑. Was in Long Island getting my g tuned by admin and some dude had a pro charged auto g37 with a stage 2 trans. Mans said he only can do 1-4 gear pulls due to stress on the motor, meaning you’ll still BLOW THE BLOCK…
