    Where im at the stock pro 4x and good tires is more than enough for everything I do. If anything the nismo leveling kit to increase the approach angle is what i would do.

      Honestly, the 2 1/2 inch leveling kit I had before was more than enough for 99% of people and their needs. Nothing wrong with it.

    Thank you for being honest about your modifications to the truck . I think the average person is being caught up in the influencer paid advertisement trap . We are doing things to are trucks that are helpful 5 % of the time and living with the down sides the other 95% of the time . I put a 2 inch lift on my Maverick , down sides are many ,and have never enjoyed the upside as of yet. There is a channel I enjoy watching that has put a Demon motor in his new Jeep . He has just purchased a new truck and trailer to move it around . This is an extreme case of overlanding gone wrong ,and against all principles of how to do it . I have a new Tremor coming in a couple months . Trading in the original Maverick, this will gave me the upside of more capable off roading and hopefully no down sides . Thanks

    Do you have a video showcasing your 2.5 Lift, including the parts used and their cost? This is exactly what I am hoping to achieve. During my research, I came across the Z1 arms and I am currently debating whether or not I need them with a 2.5 inch Lift. I don't plan on doing much offroading, but if I do, it will be light and with my family. Ultimately, I want to turn it into a family truck for camping purposes. I am based in Florida and appreciate your straightforward and informative content. It's refreshing to come across a channel that cuts straight to the point without any unnecessary BS.

      This one should cover most things. Honestly, if you plan on doing very little offloading, the stock upper control arms I would say would be fine. I used to do a lot of hard offloading with the stock uppers when I had the 2 1/2 inch lift and yes, I did hit the coil bucket , but it wasn’t terrible. If you want a little piece of mine, get the upper control large from z1. I had them for a while and they are great.

    Probably better to advise against this unless x,y, or z. Its a situational lift. In some situations could be worse than other options. I don't like the idea of losing function that can't be undone easily or perhaps at all. There are reasons the Titan swap is popular.

    @ulisesperez4510 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    You can absolutely go back from a dropbracket, just gotta find a skilled enough welder that can weld the old cross member back unto the frame, speaking from the Tacoma community of course, I'm on a 6 inch lift with 36's so really the only benefit to a drop bracket lift is better cv angles and outer tie rod angles and being able to keep some suspension components, I swapped out my shocks to rough country 6 inch ones but my drop bracket is super lift so it's definitely a bit of a Franken stein, but I'd say most people would be happy with a 2.5 inch and some 33's

    • @ulisesperez4510

    I mean unless there is a way to get a longer/more aggressive bump stop to put on the lower control arm? That’s the only other thing that I could think of that would fix this issue

I have a 19 FX4 Ranger with a bds 2 inch level and It's my daily so I don't want to get huge tires and lose my mpgs I did go up a size but that is where I am stopping. Thanks for your thoughts bro. I’m really strongly considering the cheaper spacer lift. I think it would give me just enough clearance for taking her up some mountain trials. It’s good to hear you say nothing but good about the cheaper rough country kit. I also don’t need anything super crazy I just want more ground clearance so I
    Think it’s a reasonable thing to do. The decked system is going to cost too much but I wish I can find a tonneau that is also compatible with some Billie bars like you have. That would be a perfect setup for me. Anyway love what you did with the 6 inch lift. Truck looks amazing. I didn’t know you have to cut the frame for it! Looks sooo tough lifted man.

    i have an SV, i want this RC 6” mainly for clearance and getting to places “off road” you know like a popular campsite and what not. Or maybe my favorite fishing spot. also cause its aesthetically nice and aggressive. Ill also be putting some nito 35s MT on her on some kmc trek 545s cause man they look nice as hell. Sadly i dont have 4x4 so im thinking of adding a winch in the front juuuust incase. Whats your thoughts tho? Honestly the asthetics has always been a want more than a need but now i can get to places with confidence am i right?😂😂

    • @4wdAdventurz
      @4wdAdventurz  ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly with a winch on the front, some aggressive tires on the back, and some good driving, I'd say you can get to 99.99% of places.

    I bought a 2.5 rc lift kit and ready to install this week. I have a 2023 model and I don’t see any tight space between the shocks protector and the upper control arms. How did your manage yours when you had this kit? Do you recommend regardless of the price?

    • @4wdAdventurz
      @4wdAdventurz  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      When you install the 2.5 kit your UCA's will 100% hit the coil bucket (if you do any type of off -roading or even hit a pothole on the road). However I ran that 2.5 spacer for almost 6 or 7 months, wheeling it hard, before I changed the UCA's.. I think for the money, you cant beat a 2.5in spacer lift. Get the 2.5 installed, change the UCA's to a high clearance kind and call it a day. I think that set up will be enough for 90% of people. Thanks for watching buddy, I really appreciate it!

    Yeah I have that exact same issue with the uca’s hitting the top of the fender liner. I originally had the stock uca’s with the 2.5in rough country leveling kit with no issues……..then I went with some SPC uca’s and had that issue. Now I have the rough country 6in lift kit with some SPC uca’s and I still have that issue. The only thing that I’ve found to fix it is by stacking the 2.5in leveling kit on top of the 6in lifted strut…….but then you can’t run the sway bar because the truck is so tall that the brackets won’t fit into place and you’ll have the slip and abs light on because everything is so stretched. I found all that out after I did that……..I ended up taking the leveling kit off of the lift kit. I would go back to stock uca’s but I have 4in wheel spacers and 35’s………so I’d rather have the strength of these aftermarket control arms and deal with this issue
