No way to say it looks bad, that's for sure. You are one of the few that actually off-road and like you said, you are going to find out when you off-road it. Can't wait to see those off-videos and hear what you think.

I believe with a drop hitch and sturdier leaf packs you will be good to go for towing. Some go the airbag route I guess that way you would have a little adjustability, air up for hauling and off offroad for a little more flex.

I’ve got a 23 Pro 4X Frontier, my only gripe with the truck is the driver seat controls, when I get out my leg is always rubbing up against the lever to lean the back part of the seat back or forwards, does having a lift help with that problem as far as getting in or out of the truck for you? Thanks, love the videos

    Everyone hates on RC
I off-road my 2021 Titan pro4x and it’s a 3 inch RC with their shocks on 33x12.5-18 general x3s and it runs just fine
Glad to see you upgraded from that shackle kit I had the RC shackles on my xterra and it was shit it smushed shackles about every 2 years with serious off-road and towing a quad and dirt bikes.
    Recommended tires
General tires yes expedition overland got them right
    Mickey thompsons
They don’t chunk out and still grip in rain on highways the RT by Toyo in snow and rain is a hockey puck
Goodyears are to soft and chunk apart and nittos don’t last outside the 420-g2 TG

  • @GNandGS
    @GNandGS ปีที่แล้ว +3

The reason to do this is for looks, flooded streets, and maybe tire clearance - tires are where you get the clearance anyway. Everything else is a negative and can be measured or compared. You already know the downside in travel just by looking at it, others do too and possibly why those that use/need the articulation don't bother with this setup. Basically, it strikes me as mostly a looks based job vs function.
Another, is last I knew, this setup requires cutting and removing metal. Can you even return to stock?

    • @4wdAdventurz

That lift doesn't give You more ground clearance tires give you ground clearance you gain approach and departure and break over the hight of your front crossmember and rear diff are still the same as for the upper control arms they look designed for a spacer lift so maybe add your spacer back or like a 1 inch your front tire is chipped because of the inside of your fender is cutting it at full lock

Personally with my frontier the order for my truck will be new at tires, next rear locker, next under armour, and rock slider rails next would be bumper and winch. Last thing I would get is the lift personally that way you get to know your vehicle and what lift you are going to need as you progress.
I really love the look though! I would love to see how it holds up with all my mods I plan on doing one by one. 😂

I think if you went with the stock uca you might not have to worry about it hitting the top of the wheel well. As far as I know the high clearance aftermarket uca’s are just need to avoid coil. I let contact with other lifts. The RC6 is a drop bracket lift that works with stock uca’s. I could also be completely wrong lol

I do like the lift, it definitely give benefits however now it looks like you need bigger tires to keep up with the lift. Maybe 35s in the future?!? I am afraid it’s gonna be real stiff and top heavy. But if you know how to wheel it, it’ll go most places. I can’t emphasize it enough, PLEASE get a rear locker(!) it helps so much. I do feel it would have got you out of places that you gotten stuck. I’m really happy for you and hope the lift and truck treats you as well as they should. 😊 Also, are you gonna get a new front bumper and a winch? 6:47

I have Rough Country on my Silverado and it wheels just fine. Truck looks good, I'm surprised about your Goodyear tires they are usually a pretty tough compound that they make the tires out of. I run either BFG or Kenda's on my truck. currently Kenda Klevler R and they are doing great. previous to that was the BFG All Terrains. I have BFG KM2's on my Jeep and they are a decent tire, but I may go to Kenda's on it, or it may go away and become a Frontier in that spot in the driveway🤔

"Slowed down my MPH". Maybe..but that's irrelevant. This isn't a race car..
"Stress on my front suspension". I don't think so, all the angels on the major components (CV's, tie rods..ext) are straight. Plus there are extra support brackets that come with the kit.
"Your tires will wear unevenly". As long as you do a routine alignment, tires will be fine. Nothing to do with the lift.
"Comon consumer of trucks don't want modified trucks". Maybe not in your area. But in the south, modified trucks outnumber stock trucks 10-1 and they fetch more money.
