Exellent Video. I have been having issues releasing the hinge, and the tip to relax the pointer finger solved it. I am way more consistent now. Thanks Joel!
Thank you very much for your explanation. I changed to your method and I succeed. i shoot now far better with my hinge release. Thank you very much for your help. Kind regards from Berlin in Germany.
Im new to shooting a hinge as it just arrived in thr mail and I guess I've effectively been punching it. Thanks for this video as it wouldn't be great to pick up bad habits.
I just learnt a new way to fire my Stan Onnex & it is smooth as silk. Rotate to my click & then i slowly squeeze my pinky finger to my hand on my 3 finger release. 😊
Since going to a hinge I can’t use anything else. For me living in the south being able to punch any release is a must I feel like. . Tenths of a second can mean taking the shot or not depending on how thick it is. I’ve found that when I draw, I just get to the clip quickly, then I’m ready when the shot opportunity comes. Taken 6 pigs in the last few months with my hinge and getting more confident all the time. Dean
I use the click as a warning/indicator of proper position, if the click is early I need to come down and restart, if the click is late, I need to come down, if the click goes at roughly the correct time then I initiate the shot. If the click is persistently early or persistently late then I needs adjusting !!
I think to get myself most comfortable with a hinge i need to find a decent priced one with a safety. Too many times with my current one have i not drawn correctly
I don't know if I'm brave enough to try a hinge. I want to keep all my teeth.😄 Although I bet if I put the time in it would pay off. Although I get something other than a thumb button I'm not sure if I'd be better off with a hinge or with a tension release.
Who want to shoot hinge release for hunting, go shoot 3D targets you’re to fancy. I used strap release, Imvery accurate any distance to 100 yards. I m not back tension, thumbs release, hinge releases Not for me.

Thank you for this video. I made it past the chugging part in the beginning and I actually finally found the rotation needed to set off my new Scott
The best video on hinge. For sure! Good job brother!
Great video Joel. I just picked up a thumb release and your video really helped. Thank you!
I am moving to a hinge release so this helped a lot! Thank you.
Great video and timing . I'm learning how to use Mt onnex hinge now but won't be using that at TAC this weekend . My thumb is all warmed up and ready
Excellent, in depth tutorial. Thanks
I'd like to thank whoever invented the hinge release for saving archery for me. Target panic made me hate shooting a bow.

Nock on silverback
Silver back is not a hinge it’s a tension release! The 2 smooth is Dudley hinge release
@@bryantbuzzard65 does the two smooth have a safety?
@@bryantbuzzard65 I was thinking releases with a safety. I don't think any hinge has a safety
@@brockpeck7073 gotcha yeah I don’t think I have seen one
Great video, made me a subscriber
That was Awesome!!!! Thank you 🏹🏴☠️🏁

It that the slow click or the fast one ?
Very helpful.
When u rotate off the ondex finger is ur shot coming off the back wall? Seems like ot would
No. Keep pressure on the back wall mainly using your back is the correct way.
TRU Ball HBC?
Carter Thumb release

I was looking forward to watching but couldnt get past the first 5 seconds. Watching a grown man chug like that is truly disturbing.
