So cool that he still makes videos for the new guys despite his level of skill and success, Thank you!
my favorite part of these videos is chris fumbling through adjustments without reading the directions every time lol
Love your videos bro. I've learned a ton, but you've also cost me some money on buying new gear haha.
When is Ultraview coming out with an index finger release?
Highly doubt they will
"The Ulmer method" - best way to shoot an index finger release. Fire it with back tension vs. trigger finger.
Is it just me or dose everyone make it seem like if your not shooting a thumb release your a beginner or something? Iv hunted for 15+ years and have tried many different thumb releases but alwase come back to the wrist release
I guess I don't understand slapping triggers because every person I see why such a short grip slaps their triggers.
Killer info provided as always. Keep these kind of videos coming.
Great release for the $$. When shortening the length, not only do you cut the tubing but you will need to cut the bolt down. Not hard to do but time consuming.
Cut bolt also always for the release to fold back.
I own one similar to 4:19 that release as my back up release I go with a thumb button as main hunting release but I also own a hinge for shooting non hunting season
16:26 I have a b3 ghost it is a great 150$ when I bought my hinge from my pro shop he turned the click off on it to make me not know when it goes off. I love it.
Is Lancaster not aware we can sort releases by best selling on their website?
You really think there are more onnex C’s out there (the first release that comes up under “best selling,” on Lancaster) that this one?
It’s almost like sales algorithms and margins to be “best selling,” aren’t the same as the most SKUs sold 😱
@@joshuadouglasarchery Lol. TIL best selling doesn't mean best selling.
@@Fossil_ you’re just going against your original point I guess?
Artandarchery has printable files of every release made. Just cut out with sissors an see anchor point, and size
Helped me size up my previous release to a uv button before i bought it
Thank you so much for the video I was just going to ask for another trigger release one
Great to see another video this morning from the goat….thank Chris….well done video….
You should get a discount code for Lancaster!
Cam Hanes still shoots this style release
I’ve been shooting the B3 claw and it’s hands down the best release I’ve ever used in 20 years of bow hunting
Love mine too
Chris… can you create a video on what you would recommend for youth starter compound bows? Ages 10-13 love your videos and all of your knowledge that you share!!!
Are ultra view releases tested to 100 pounds? Asking for a friend… specifically the button.
I would HIGHLY recommend if you bow hunt with compound bow buy at least 2 releases so if you lose one you always have a back up and shoot with both go back and forth.
I returned the stinger xt after i found that 1/2 of the sensitivity adjustments cause NDs from the d loop slipping through the clamps. I went with a hinge opening wrist release and am wayyy happier. Also, the adjust by cutting the tube on the stinger is just preposterous.
Wish I would’ve ordered a set of arrows before they were out I need the 250 spine. Now I’m gonna piece together some ordering the wraps and vanes from you and the arrows from local archery shop
Hoping y'all come out with a short neck button soon. Curious as well if anyone shooting the slider has issues with the windage adjustment not clicking. Liking it ok otherwise.
Good stuff Chris.....as always.
Is that the name of that a “release”
What are some releases for smaller handed folks? I I’m on my 4th one and I can just get the tip of finger on it.
Would you consider using or testing the kudu point Broadhead for the 2024 season?
I shoot compound and recurve. Recurve I shoot three under. I tried one of those handheld releases and ended up letting go of the whole thing. 😂
So I just use the release with the strap.
Guy at the local shop said button and trigger need different bow set ups. Is that true?
Any advice for making the switch between trigger and thumb? I've lost 2 arrows on the draw back (accidently bumped the thumb and the tension was so light it couldn't handle the 65lbs draw and released). I was thinking blank bale at like 5yds till I get comfy with it?
I did turn the tension (sensitivity) up, definitely a surprise though sending an arrow into a tree
Hey Chris are you going to the Texas total Archery challenge
Would love to get your opinion on a nock on back strap, purely for a hunting release
Whats that orange bow clamp he's got? Looks perfect for the space I have
Have you had any trouble out of the x3 vanes curling on you?
I would love for this dude to help me and get me off this weak bow

After 40+ years of being out of the archery seen ive been thinking about getting back into it. My last bow was a jennings and we didnt have to use a release....I tride a release a few times back in the day and after a few times of puching myself in the face I threw that thing in the trash haha....... To be honest thats the only thing giving me hesitation on getting back into shooting a compound....I dont ever see it being talked about on any videos......Is that no longer an issue??......Im really not a fan of punching myself in the face haha
Why aren't you?🤔
How does a back tension release, release at say 18 pounds on the back wall, yet not release during your draw?
They have safeties you engage while drawing
Awesome video Chris!!!! If you would like your hunting season to be longer you should think about going to South Africa and do a spot and stalk on a kudu. Just an idea
Make them like his moose video
Exactly
Can you do a most sold everything bow
Can you do a review on the B3 archery exit release ?
Chris im still lookong for those "bearings" in my uv button you said it had. Lol just messing with you
Yeah an it had alot of creep if I put any travel in it. Like a shudder. None of the parts are polished. There are still tooling marks, so I'm thinking about polishing my internals
So that style is not made for a Dloop.
i didn't know how to use the last one you shot so thanks
My notification was late😢
I’m not gonna lie. It was literally making me so nervous when he was touching that trigger. I was just waiting for that bow to go off. I Know how much of an experienced bow shooter he is. But. Still
Love the videos man keep up the good work god bless you ❤️
Marketing! They need to get of a bunch most likely
very good
Keep it is Chris
What is a great entry-level thumb button ?
I use the boost ignite from lancaster and I love it. Trigger is crisp with very little travel. The only things I don't like about it is that it's smooth and alittle slippery (iv never had a problem with that) and the click is pretty loud when firing but for $100 it's a great deal
@@DrunkinDonut573 I appreciate info. And I’ll look it up I’ve been using a true fire release for 17 years. And I finally scratched it and made it rigid on public land the other day, about two weeks ago. And not sure how I did. But I was looking at a release for $130 or $165 from B3 archery. Called the exit. And it looks pretty good. My dream release. Is the ultraview ub button. But $300 or 350. Is a little steep for me right now. Because I need to buy a climber or just a new public land set up because I’m trying to decide between a saddle, climber, or a hang on set up And I need a new sight. And oh yeah, don’t forget a new string for a new bow I just got 3 months ago ish so I kind of feel defeated Once TH-cam gets me monetized. It will definitely help me out with traveling and hunting purchases. But that’s just the sport we love. lol 😂
@@DrunkinDonut573 it’s definitely an interesting looking release
Good video....thanks...!
Glad you liked it!
I realized when I switched from that style of release to a thumb release I gained an inch on draw length
Same!
Stan has the best thumb release
If a guy named Stan is shooting a Carter, then yes.
And index release in the Stan Solex!
First
@Chris Bee Please learn how to say Lancaster right. I cringe every time you say it. It's pronounced like Lang-Kiss-Ter or Langkister. I know that's not how it is pronounced everywhere, but that's how it is pronounced in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Could you imagine using that click release in Northern Michigan back in the baiting era. That thing would click and you’d be in the woods alone. So much easier to draw now that baiting is banned.
Thank you very much for this in depth video. I have been shooting traditional archery but this year I have decided to switch to a compound and embrace all advantages it affords. I am trying to learn as much as I can and the difference in releases is one I haven’t understood until now. Thank you again.
something he doesnt mention here is, draw length on a wrist is different than a thumb. I highly recommend trying both styles out before you buy. also, if you look at the tournaments, you wont see anyone using a wrist.
I use the UV Button, and of the 8 or 9 releases ive tried out, its the best by far. just.... wildly expensive.
hey man i need ur help my bow shop is closed till next week and i dont have a bow press to put my string back on can u help me
Love the channel man! you are one of the main reasons i got into archery and i can not thank you enough 🫶 love your reviews of products on any and everything archery! keep it up
