    Jesus asked to be played as a winger this season because in his own opinion he thinks he plays better there than in a conventional number 9 role. What he does so well is his intense pressing off the ball, harrying defenders and helping the midfield to win possession back. Guardiola has even gone so far as to say he’s the best in the world at pressuring defenders off the ball. He’s also in the top 10 premier league players with the best minutes per goal or assist of all time (something like 92 minutes per goal contribution) which for a 24 year old is remarkable. He might not be an out and out goal getter like Aguero was, but his team play and his off the ball work are absolutely world class, so I’m definitely going to disagree with the assessment that Guardiola hasn’t gotten the best out of him, he’s just gotten something different from him.

      @Kezza02 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      I’ve actually never understood that minutes per G/A for Jesus because online it says 92 in the premier league as you’ve quoted but if you do the math it works out around 109 which is still a great return I’m just not sure on the figures

    If you’re talking Brighton, you have to mention Jakub Moder. Most appearances for Brighton this season and gets in so many good positions but his shots seem to be attracted to the woodwork or an outrageous keeper save. Grealish isn’t a goal scorer, he has never scored double figures in the league, idk why people expect him to score goals. You don’t change as a player overnight just because someone paid 100 mil for you. He has never had a bad game whenever he played tbh and this is his first season under Pep so it’ll take him a bit to fit in the system. Sane, Mahrez and Cancelo all struggled on their first season so it’s too early to call him a flop.

    Alfie Can you do a documentary on the afc Wimbledon on the nine promotions in eleven years, how they’re a fan own club and how they have a stadium in plough lane now.
    The story of they lost the club, how the F A allowed that and won’t allow that anymore.
    How they were very close to moving to ireland
    How they went up the English football leagues.
    It would be a good documentary video if you can do this. #thepeopleschannel

    As a Chelsea fan, it's sometimes easy to get frustrated with Havertz. He seemingly has all the talent and makes all the effort but there are plenty of games where he has absolutely no impact in any way, shape, or form. I was hoping Lukaku coming in would help shoulder the load and improve his numbers but that sadly hasn't really happened.

    Havertz is so quality but he’s so inconsistent. Sometimes he plays very very well and sometimes he absolutely disappears. He also always picks up little knocks and is sick often so he doesn’t build consistent game time. Hopefully he will start building consistent form

    Jesus just isnt utilized in the center forward role, he plays far more out wide as he asked to be played there a while back. He's a bit like Firmino in a way, the main focus is for him to make contributions pressing/keeping posession/creating chances, hence why he has 7 assists in the prem this year. I feel as though you assessed Jesus thinking he was a central forward, but in reality he hasn't been consistently used there for well over a year.

    15:45 I still think the fans are giving Zouma way too much abuse just because the club decided to not suspend him over the whole cat-kicking thing (which is what the abuse might as well be as a result of, by the way)

    • @shav17
      @shav17 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree that the Zouma abuse is a little out of hand, what he did was wrong of course, but the situation of him keeps getting worse and worse. I honestly believe if he didn’t play against Watford, dropped for one game, the abuse would be much lower.

    • @magicalhikari5859
      @magicalhikari5859 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@shav17 Yeah, and one could argue that, at this point, it’s not even Zouma that they’re mad at, but rather the fact West Ham didn’t see fit to suspend him (like both Manchester clubs suspended Mendy and Greenwood for their crimes) and were still willing to start him on important games. They literally abused him so much that he asked not to play against Leicester; it’s almost as if the fans are taking it into their own hands JUST to deal with someone who’s ‘crimes’ weren’t bad enough to be suspended (the way I see it)

    Alisson. We need at least 1.2 goals/season (League games).
    Give the ball to Bobby and he will score! (No, he´ll assist, or cause goals by his actions). He´s our first line of defence, and a deadly one at that.

    I know it's obvious, but 83 goals in 341 senior games for Andy Carroll should have got an honourable mention IMO. Plus Danny Welbeck, whose 55 in 267 club games, but 16 in 42 full internationals is a bizarre record. It was always going to be Morata, though. Always.

    Day 7: While most of us probably hate the idea, in the endless pursuit of capital a European-wide league system will most likely be in place before 2050 either with the help of national FAs, UEFA, and FIFA or not. You could either have a look at ways to prevent that or think of a league system that could potentially work.

  • @migscapo

    Gabi Jesus is Man City's fifth all time premier league top scorer, more than Mahrez or De Bruyne and he mainly plays out wide. Saying he wasn't developed properly by Pep is a lazy assessment imo as Pep tends to find the position where the player is most comfortable and can help the team the most which for Jesus is wide because he's good in 1v1 situations and he's a good finisher as well. Since going to City his tactical awareness and game understanding has increased massively

      5 in 71 for Boro'
