- This is a fan made CG animation of the very famous television series "Tales from the Crypt" done by Benabdallah Adel and Penoit Damien, with FX help from Omar Meradi and Toufik Mekbel.
With respectful homage to the "Tales from the Crypt" TV show, we added a modernized direction while staying true to the original creator’s vision by recreating the Intro sequence completely in CG to show our passion for the TV show and digital art.

Stunning piece of work, and this coming from a fifty-plus year old fan of not only the series but the original comic books. The Crypt Keeper would be proud to live in this recreated house. Congratulations.

The name of the video is: "CGI 3D Fan Trailer HD: "Tales From the Crypt - Fan Art" - by Damien Peinoit" or you can find it pretty easy by searching for "CGI crypt keeper." Just be aware it isn't EXACTLY like the original intro... they kinda do a riff on it where it ends like this one (where it's the face on a stick) only for the actual Crypt Keeper to jump out a few seconds later.

Nicely done! Remember watching the show when I was little. Fun fact, the trek down the stairs into the Crypt was actually one of the first real big uses of CGI in a TV show.

Honestly, I would LOVE if they'd added MORE to the house, maybe some from Secrets of to be explored in VR, but much more accurate to the original house/mansion.
If Tales from the Crypt came back, they'd use this.

Nah, goosebumps was tales from the crypt for kids. Plus tales from the crypt was somewhat marketed for kids

@@tovolume The original comic books were marketed to kids. They were pretty gory back in the 50's, and that is why they ended up getting banned. I think that is what he meant. Obviously, you are right that the HBO show was for adults, and the cartoon was for kids.

Absolutely amazing! When I was a kid back then, my Mom and I both wanted to walk through that house and explore it.
How old were you? I was only about 6 or so when my mom started letting me watch the show. It was awesome, because I could stay up as late as I wanted on Saturday nights and watch the "gripper" with my mom and sister.

That was amazing! At times, it really felt like the models and sets used to create that opening back in 1989. I mean, you even included the tire swing! Really impressive.

Man, I want to jump out of a window just thinking about all the work that went into this.
I use to watch this as a child aswell as the cartoon version truth be told as a kid back then I rather the live action one then the toon one shame my mum had to get them on vhs when that was a thing for me to watch but the toon one was on every day after school

It's really good, only thing maybe is that you need more wind blowing, when the camera gets inside the house, there is wind blowing at spider webs.
