This is arguably the best animatic I’ve ever seen. I love the detail, especially the amount of gags you put into a scene that only lasts a few seconds at 3:03.
A friend showed this to me on Halloween and I AM FLOORED by how detailed this is! References to Jacques from the animated series, the skeleton playing the xylophone in time with the background as B strums ukelele, Adam's muffled singing at the end is all AMAZING! Thank you for breathing life into the fandom!
This is just awe inspiring. The details, the character design, smoothness. It feels so absurd its almost off-putting yet natural. It almost feels like he's actually in a physical place while jumping through reality and the forth wall. You've captured Beetlejuice amazingly. This is honestly one of the best song animatic/animations I've seen. Well done.
OOOOHHH MYYYY GOOOOOSSHH!!! His fizzarolli and beetlejuice voice are so close together that I keep expecting to see fizzarolli in this beetlejuice episode.
3:29 Just a book mark to my fave bit, the whole thing is absolutely jaw dropping but "from the cradle to cremation" and onwards just scratches my brain extra
FOR REAL especially when he’s saying “death just needs a little conversation” and he leans forward, and as he’s falling his face smears a bit just OOOOOO it’s doin it RIGHT
This is quite literally the BEST animatic I think I’ve ever seen! The attention to detail is astonishing! It took me a second to realize that the song “Ready set, not yet” was muffled because Beetlejuice was falling in the direction of the house from the cemetery WHILE THEY’RE SINGING INSIDE!!! I love this so much
Very reminiscent of the cartoon series while being it's own thing. Really makes me want to see the musical...especially if it was all done in this style
@@Cameraman_vr1 the man who played Betelgeuse in the stage musical also voices Fizzarolli in Helluva Boss. As for the Mammon part, it's further explained in episode 7 of season 2.

Holy Crap! A fully animated rendition of a Beetlejuice Song already!? And such a bold departure from the animatics! Seriously this is by far the most incredible Beetlejuice fan animation I’ve ever seen! I love it! I could talk for hours about every amazing detail and bit of work you put into this. Fantastic job
God, where do i even start? This is one of the best projects ive ever seen on TH-cam. The artstyle is incredibly fun! Im absolutely amazed at all the transitions and how insanely creative the scene are. You captured the energy of this character and this world and this song so perfectly! And the colours? The smoothness?! Two years is a short time for what you managed to pull off! Im absolutely in love with this animation, its insanely beautiful and detailed and funny and creative! Even tho i can absolutely quote this entire musical, the way you animated it kept suprising me as if i didnt even know what jokes were coming! You captured Alex Brightmans energy so well and added another layer of cartoon absurdity that just isnt possible on stage. I love how you used the skeletons as the ensemble, and just the whole chaotic energy of Beetlejuice flying around messing with everything. The changes in hair colour at times were also a super cool detail! Im starting to repeat myself, so ill stop here, but oh my god i am in love with this. I hope this lands you a job at Disney or something cause HOLY SHIT this felt like watching a scene from a movie and i would like to see said movie P.S: whats the audio of Beetlejuice falling down the hill from lmao

i loved the part from 3:33 to 4:00 because of how it's animated, his shoulders moving from side to side, the choir singing, his body becoming a snake and how when he is on the cliff the lightning waving from both sides and how he is so powerful he destroys part of the rock, making him fall. Overall a great animation
I like this animated BeetleJuice way better than any live action, he both looks like he’ll kill me and sell my organs, but simultaneously looks so huggable and like he’d be a nifty, funky friend to have :3

@@LushKeeper I did see this actually, thank you I appreciate your well wishes man. I am doing a bit better now though I think about her every day and she's in my dreams often.
My mom died a couple years ago, and weirdly I felt the same way about a few other tracks from this musical. People expect you to be sad about death but there's a full range of emotions that can come out. We don't always _want_ to feel sad. Sometimes part of mourning is celebrating life in bold defiance.
As an amateur animator and a HUGE musical fan, I am so upset I didn’t stumble upon this earlier! This is f*cking phenomenal! I have seen countless musical animatics, and this is by far the best one I’ve ever seen. The animation, the visual gags, the _facial expressions!_ I am in awe. (The split second frame of BJ breathing at 1:13 killed me) 💀
This is the best Beetlejuice animatic I've ever seen. It fits the vibe so perfectly, I feel like this would be used as an official animation. It's so chaotic and crazy in way that fits the song (heck the whole show) so well. Plus I love how Beetlejuice falls off a cliff in the end.
This is literally so badass. For me, your designs are the perfect representations of these characters and I would watch a full animated film / tv series with your style behind it!
This video started a domino effect that led to me watching the original movie, seeing the sequel on opening night and getting tickets to see the musical. Outstanding job
the energy conveyed in this is straightup making me go insane. this isn’t just a fanmade project - it’s a work of art! you’ve captured the likeness and personality of Beetlejuice so, SO well, and the perspectives and choreography are so superb! thank you for making such an amazing animation! :D
3:34 GAHHHH so hype!! The skull face and the way he walks towards the camera with all the fun transformations!!! I've never seen any visuals for the Beetlejuice musical- but that last bit made me realize how grand and big this song really is. This was such a fun watch, I hadn't realized how much visuals can enhance music!! Definetly makes me wanna watch the musical... if it ever comes to my city lol
The whole thing was amazing but the muffled noise of Adam and Barbara while BJ second-dies actually cracked a proper laugh out of me which felt awesome 👌
this is actually so amazing. I can never listen to this song again without picturing this animation. I feel like this is the perfect media form for Beetlejuice; just the fluidity and freedom you could recreate the lyrics with. shows it. you have a fine mastery of animation my dear artist, and I commend your skill
I love all of BJ's little movements in some of the scenes, like the way he says back and forth while playing the ukulele or the way his shoulders lunge forward as he's walking between the chorus of skeletons towards the end, it just adds so much depth and character to the performance (which was already fantastic to be fair). It's just really good visuals to go with the song
I seriously applause of of this cause there's honestly not much animantics like these anymore since y'know "The Whole Fandom Being Dead Thing" but I'm glad you still got spark newer live Into this and hope we still piece more animatincs like these again and not let Fizzarolli stole the spotlight that once was Beeteljuice's!
4:53 oh my god pause I haven’t relistened to the full musical in a long ass time (and honestly only replaying say my name a few times as a treat) Ready Set in the background almost threw me to the ground man I forgot how good that song was. I used to go crazy for adams line there lmao almost got in tears from nostalgia
I get that this comment is going to be a year old to the actual video but omg, I love the ending at 3:42 where you can see all of the colors his hair can go through like you can tell a lot of effort just went into that part. Thank you for making this!!!
Words cannot even begin to describe my level of obsession with this. I am majoring in animation and Beetlejuice is my favorite musical. Seeing these two worlds of mine combined so beautifully is breathtaking. Please never stop doing what you’re doing!!!
Just noticed during the "might not live till Christmas" line, hanging above the door is mistletoe; literally a bunch of severed toes tied together. LOL. I love the attention to detail and jokes put into this video.
An animator that perfectly illustrates a character with the overall atmosphere, can smoothly move the "camera"'s perspective, can correctly draw human proportions over and over, can draw hands, and appropriately uses colours? Buddy, I will make a deal with Beetlejuice solely to live long enough for you to animate the entire film.
I wish someone would fund this whole thing into a long running production. Could you imagine a revival of the Beetlejuice cartoon in this form? Remake? Remake. I want it.
This is literally the best animatic/animation here on TH-cam. You did so well with bringing this musical to life! Very few people are able to make me feel the way this did so congrats!!!🎉
This is jaw-dropping. The character designs and fluidity are just impeccable, I don't think I've ever seen an animatic LEAP off the screen like this. Also, this was actually how I learned Beetlejuice had a musical! Talk about one hell of an introduction.
FROM THAT FIRST BACKFLIP I KNEW THIS WAS SOMETHING SPECIAL. Holy moly this whole animation is on a whole 'nother level. I absolutely love so many of the shot choices and shot compositions. And you chose the perfect set piece for every single line. Honestly a masterpiece. Thank you for putting all your heart and soul into this.

A MASTERPIECE! Like... honestly... the apex of fan works for this silly little fandom. You should be so proud, and taking the BIGGEST rest!
Thanks Hamish!! I just love this dang musical so much haha. I'm gonna eat candy and collapse.✌✨

Just a book mark to my fave bit, the whole thing is absolutely jaw dropping but "from the cradle to cremation" and onwards just scratches my brain extra
FOR REAL especially when he’s saying “death just needs a little conversation” and he leans forward, and as he’s falling his face smears a bit just OOOOOO it’s doin it RIGHT
Same!

Fr!
my favorite part is the skeleton at like 1:11 that looks like it's concentrating really hard on playing that xylophone
"this... then this and this?"
I love this so much
say it again
Huh?
I seriously would love to see the entire musical done animated in this style. It looks great and is incredibly entertaining
Agreed. It would be awesome.
Very reminiscent of the cartoon series while being it's own thing. Really makes me want to see the musical...especially if it was all done in this style
If this was cut down to about a minute it could very easily make a cartoon show opening
Fizzarolli's really been killing it ever since he left Mammon's gig

I hope this lands you a job at Disney or something cause HOLY SHIT this felt like watching a scene from a movie and i would like to see said movie

Excuse me can we talk about how amazing this is? The amount of work and clear passion put into this. No wonder this took 2 years, I'm surprised someone made it in that short of a time.
i loved the part from 3:33 to 4:00 because of how it's animated, his shoulders moving from side to side, the choir singing, his body becoming a snake and how when he is on the cliff the lightning waving from both sides and how he is so powerful he destroys part of the rock, making him fall. Overall a great animation
I like this animated BeetleJuice way better than any live action, he both looks like he’ll kill me and sell my organs, but simultaneously looks so huggable and like he’d be a nifty, funky friend to have :3
Have you watched the animated series ? That one also looks cuddly
The art style and energy perfectly encapsulates Beetlejuice's personality as a whole. I can't even imagine how much work you put into this.

My mom died a couple years ago, and weirdly I felt the same way about a few other tracks from this musical. People expect you to be sad about death but there's a full range of emotions that can come out. We don't always _want_ to feel sad. Sometimes part of mourning is celebrating life in bold defiance.
Love the little details
At 1:14 you can see him take a breath
And every scene with someone playing any instrumentals is pretty accurate
This is what Adam will sing when he will come back as a sinner and pull up to the Hotel.
