I am a many-years fan of 9mm Glocks, including the 17, 34, 19, 26, and 43, with each having its own unique set of advantages and uses. However, I have to agree-as an all-around handgun, the Glock 45 is the greatest Glock ever!
I have the Glock 21, 17, and now the G45. I love all three of them. But my G45 has become my everyday carry for the most part. But despite the size, I do still love carrying my 21 some.
@@556_jayy1k yeah a Gen 5 holster would work if it comes in contact with the grip, for the most part though I've seen a lot of holsters that will fit the Glock 17 and 19 length barrels, hell summer so universal you can even fit The wider ones like the Glock 20 and 21
@@douglasphillips24 I’m 6’6” 385 ibs so it’s not that big to me personally. But for the average size man it probably is a bit to big to carry every day appendix. I can pretty much carry any of my handguns appendix with no discomfort. However, it’s definitely lighter when you carry a G45 or smaller. I have no desire to go smaller for my size personally. My Hands are huge though
I've had my G45 a year or so and it has become, hands down, my favorite pistol. I like almost everything about it. Fits in my hand better than all my other Glocks, very accurate, not a single failure in 1,500+ rounds and all that with a high capacity magazine. The Glock 45 has replaced both my Glock 19 and Sig Sauer P226 as my go to home defense pistol. (For EDC, I alternate between a Glock 43X and Sig Sauer P365X.) My son recently asked me if could only have one pistol what would I choose? I didn't hesitate to say I would definitely pick the Glock 45.
That says it all really. When you've got really well made guns, that you own and respect, and if you had to choose one it'd be the G45, I'd take notice. Thx.
I agree. Glock 45 gen 5 is super great! I had mine more than a year now and tested it several times in the outdoor range. It fires so great, flawless, and accurate with its target. It’s very handy, light, and great for iwb or owb concealed carry. Even with a fanny pack, backpack, or vehicle carry, it is an excellent pistol. Of course, also great for self-defense and family protection with jhp ammo. I bought extra mags too, 17 rds and 33 rd. I have two extra reserved stainless guide rod spring assemblies, 18lbs and 20lbs rate. All I can finally say, for me, Glock 45 gen 5 is highly rated among the pistols I know. I love it!👍
Love the G45 ! My first gun and just getting started and educated in this Hobby at 46. Yup I’m Texan in Tennessee now but had other priorities til now ! Just replaced sights to night sights and Cerakote the slide into the Texas flag ! Totally changed the look and turns heads at the range .
my first and true love.. was planning G17 back in 2018 when this one was released.. fell in love instantly. My gunbroker even didn't have knowledge yet when i asked if they had it in store.. luckily got one of my own

I have the G48 and G19x and love them both. As I am not a big person, my G48 is my everyday carry and the 19x is my home defense gun. For me they are both great tools.
To be honest, the two things that sold me on Glock was accuracy and reliability. One day after shooting a very used Gen 2 Glock 17 at the local gun range I figured why not and bought my first Glock. A gen4 G35 and that was followed shortly by two gen4 G19’s one became momma’s gun of course and more recently I bought both a Gen3 G34 and the G45. Of all the Glocks at the house here I like the feel of the Glock 45 in my hand the best. It is a comfortable natural fit despite it’s girth. I told that Glock modified the grip somewhat on the G45 and that seems true. For me with small hands, short fingers and beefy palms a Glock just feels like holding onto a 2x4 that is until this G45 was in my hand. WOW 🤩 now that’s comfy. I’ve always liked the grip of the 1911 45 ACP and own 3 along with my Glocks but this new one is great. Glock hit a home run with the Glock 45 in my opinion. I think I’ve got a new favorite range pistol now.
I have the 17, 45, 19X, 19 and 43X. I like all of them equally. I am ex-law enforcement and I carried the g22 my entire career. I do love the g45, but I’ve noticed many people say it’s optimal for police due to clearing a holster quicker. This would be true if it weren’t also true that most if not all agencies run a light on their pistol, most of the time being the Surefire X300. If you have an X300, you aren’t clearing the holster any faster due to the length of the light still needing to clear it. I typically use a TLR7 on my g45 and 19. Most people run g19 and then have + magazines which end up being the length of a full size if not more, so again the 17 or 45 would be better if you plan on higher capacity. The 17 over the 45 if you want max muzzle velocity, albeit minimal.
This has always confused me about the length argument. You need a tiny light for it not to stick out way past the muzzle. Most duty lights would still stick out on a 17 length...
Here's my 2 cents - I bought a G45 early this year and i love it ; i have other glocks but this is my favorite, i mean look you get the best of both worlds G17(lower) and G19 (upper) 🇺🇸 👍

Just purchased mine Saturday for $600 (Gen 5)out the door and it was MOS. I am getting ready to take it to the range and try it out, but I do love the feel and looks of the pistol so far! My EDC for the last year has been a Glock 19 and I intend to switch out the 19 and 45 periodically. This is my fifth Glock purchase and I think the 45 will fit in nicely with my 19, 20, 26, 31!
I bought the glock 45 non mos when they first came out i really wish i woulda got the mos version but non the less its been the best glock iv ever held in my hand, love the way it shoots and feels.
I picked up a Gen 5 last spring and love it! Mated it with a Surefire X300 and invested in an Omega 9k and Silencerco threaded barrel. Flawless and no ear ringing with 115 supers. I paid $475 in March 2020, now they are high as heck if you can find them. Good luck, you won’t be disappointed.
I bought my 19 Gen 4 in 2013 and still have it. Its been super reliable with over 6000 rounds through it .Last year I bought a 26 Gen 5 and now going to add the G45 to the collection.
Yes. I think ALL Glock models are great, but the Glock 45 is the GREATEST EVER … taking Glock’s famous “Perfection” signature slogan to a new level! (Plus-to all my diehard 45ACP carrier friends who good-naturedly give me a hard time for carrying a 9mm, I can now honestly retort, “Oh, I carry a 45.” 😉 )

@@roninky8012 no it didn’t. Guns.com priced gouged everyone during the “pandemic”. Remember places like this and never order from them because of it. A Glock mos model is $620 at a honest dealer. And a non mos model is $530 at a honest dealer. If you are payer more than that, then you are getting ripped off. Trust me. They didn’t pay that much so why should you.
I got one used from my local range with a MOS red dot and absolutely love it, best pistol I own for accuracy and durability. Check with your local range and you may get a steal of a deal like I did! Good Luck and a Great Handgun. It;s a little on the heavy side for carry and is hard for conceal but if the bad guys know their guns OR don't then the double stack 17+1 mag may change their minds on doing any more bad things to the innocent. I hope to never have to draw mine in any situation but it's just a deterrent if I don't have to. Like a condom; better to have and not need, than to need and not have.
I just purchased my G45 4 Days ago and I absolutely love it it fits my hands perfectly so ill use it as my home defense. But I still will edc my 43x just cause im a smaller Fram guy so it doesn't print like the 45 will. But in that sense its all about what you like not what somebody else likes so use what you feel most comfortable with for your edc and home defense.
Just bought one today. Never been a fan of the full size I always got the 23, 19 and 19M but this 45 is definitely the best feeling gun I have ever had. Can’t wait to shoot it!
I have the G45 and love it! I have wide palms, but shorter fingers, so the grip and the compact size is ideal for me. What I like about this video: zero dislikes :-)
I finally got one. I was seeing prices above 700 so I waited. Found one about 2 weeks ago for 599 and got some night sights for 80. I think it is the best gun Glock has ever made. They didn’t have a MOS model. Still haven’t seen one of those in a gun shop. Might get it milled for the red dot. Might just leave it alone. I put an Olight BALDR Mini on it and I noticed something. Olight puts in two rail mount slots. One for Glocks which is skinny, and one for a 1913 Picatinny rail which is thicker. But on the G45, the slot is larger and the 1913 rail fits it perfectly. The Glock rail slot would be way to small. Has anyone else noticed Glock now has the rail slot large enough for lights that have the 1913 size rail slot? My Gen 4 G19 slot is narrower.
I love my G45, it was my very first firearm. It doesn’t only come in black tho, I have it in Gray! Beautiful gun & would recommend to anyone looking for a nice Glock to pick up
My favorite EDC and nightstand gun is the Glock 19 Gen 5 with Ameriglo/Hackathorn sights. I have two identical G19's. I've daily carried and trained with the G19 for three years. I don't like any of the new "micro-9's" available today and have been thinking of getting the G45 recently. I can conceal carry the G19 without any issues year-round, not sure about the G45, but thinking of trying one out. Thanks for the video.
I bought my Glock g45 back in February. I enjoy it a lot. I traded my 38 special revolver in on it. I think I made a good choice. So far I've put 2000 rounds thru it and not one issue the gun.
I still love my Glock 23 and 27. The G23 for home and G 27 for concealed carry. No holster just put it my pants front pocket. Since I'm a lefty I guess its time to upgrade and go for the G45.
I own two G19s, (Gen3/Gen4) also own a G26(Gen4) and G27(Gen2). I was in the market for a G19X back in 2020, but the price was just outrageous. About $750 or more. I passed on it and ended up getting a M&P 2.0 with a 5in Barrel in FDE ($454), I already had kinda moved to M&P with a M&P 40C (1.0), that I later converted to 9mm. I examined a G45 MOS the other day at a local shop, in my opinion, I would agree the G45 is the best 9mm Glock for the consumer, but the G45 MOS is even better, as it gives you most of the options that owner of older pistol had pay for custom work. Front Serrations and Optic Cuts are a great feature to have on pistol. I regret not waiting, (although, who knew), but now, most M&Ps come with front serrations and optic cuts.
this have little too big and heavy be EDC gun. but good option normal range shooting gun. best EDC have 3-3,5" barrel not 4" and polymer body weight lot less, and 9mm or 380 cal. S/W shield 2.0, taurus, sig sauerg3 etc many better gun have EDC gun.
I’ve poured hundreds of rounds through my Glock 45 9mm. Installed a few upgrades and absolutely love the gun. It’s a easy gun to shoot well, control is great, and I’ve not experienced a single malfunction. I just love that pistol!
Well, I got mine back in January and I have to say it’s a very comfortable shooting handgun (And this is coming from a guy that berated the Glock but hey certain events can change one’s perspective)
By far, the G45 is my favorite full sized service pistol. When the G19x came out, I was struck that it was so close to being perfect, but I had no use for the color. As soon as the G45 came out, I owned one, and still do. It is as quick as a cat and highly accurate. The G45 is like Baby Bear's soup. JUST RIGHT.
G19X is KING! Yeah the 45 has some minor upgrades that for me, don't seem to make a difference. I can still press check just as easily without the front serations. The wider mag-well doesn't lower loading time for me. I didn't have to change the sights. Not worried about running gen5 mags through it. And the color is just...Mmmmm...GORGEOUS!! Yep...The G19X stands alone!
I had a Glock 45 & Glock 19 , both Gen 5. Saw a semi rare old S&W .357 & traded. After the Glock 47 was released, I pondered do I need one. Then the idea hit me. Googled for a Glock 45 Lower. Have a complete factory coming to my FFL Dealer Glock 45 lower & is complete for $225 + 12 shipping. Complete slides are twice the price
Just picked up a G45 yesterday. Only reason I went with it is because I didn't want to pay extra for the 19x. Just need a +2 extension like the X. Gonna throw some TFX sights on it and call it good.
I love my G45. I took it out to the range earlier today and it is way more accurate than I can shoot it, but at 10 yards I can cut the center circle out of an eight inch target with it, and doing rapid double and triple rapid fire shots keep them all in the eight inch target. I added Trijicon night sights and a white light with visible green lazer combo and it's my nightstand home defense gun. Loaded with eighteen rounds of Hornaday Critical defense ammo, I sleep very well at night! 😉
I'm currently researching because I really LOVE the Glock quality. I've owned the G23 40 S&W and have G20 10mm but I really want a 9mm and looking for which Glock would best suit me. I don't know if I should go G17 or G45 but I'm pretty sure it's down to the 2 but may just grt both.
I’ve carried mine on duty for a little over a month. I think it’s a great pistol so far. Time will tell as to whether or not it’s better than the gen 4 G17 I carried for years.
Been using glocks for over 25 years, while I like the G45, when in my hand it feels confusing like if I want a compact carry my G19 or if I want a full size carry the G17! Maybe someday.

I normally don't say i love earthly thing but i really like my G45 this gun fits my hand like a velvet glove in the words ofthe late Bon Scott of AC/DC this gun has great balance shoots incredibly well the ergonomics is right on point accurate very easy to shoot this is now my edc!
Get a MCARBO trigger spring kit Polish it as per the installation video then put a vickers tactical carry trigger on the factory bar you polish. 15$ trigger kit 45$ trigger shoe.
Great video, thanks for the info. I wanted to like the G45 but feel I shoot my G19 MOS a lot better and it feels more comfortable in my hand. Still think it’s a great gun and will probably add one to my collection in the near future. I currently have a G43x w/a Holosun 507k and a G19 w/ a Trijicon RMRcc.
The grip size is what sold me on the g45. I'm a lifelong Sig guy and never really liked the Glock feel. After waiting hopelessly for Sig to produce more metal framed handguns, I gave in and decided to give Glock another try. Tested the g45 and was sold. Glock checked all the boxes for me on this one.
It's just personal preference. True between all Glocks and true between Glock and other manufacturers. If it weren't for the lack of supply this would undoubtedly be the best era historically for gun buying and the excellent firearms being produced.
I’ve been carrying a G45 MOS for over a year now and it’s my favorite carry gun. I have large hands and this gun fits me better than the G19. Very well balanced and shootable. I added an RMR and upgraded the trigger. Also, if you go with the MOS, get a quality aftermarket plate. The factory plate from Glock is straight garbage.
Yea been thinking of grabbing me one of the 45s lately because I kinda feel the same about the tan 19x color I don't care for color guns especially these weird Gucci Glocks dudes got to me it's something that makes these dudes guns almost look fake and that's just weird to me honestly the 19x isn't bad like the multicolor ones but still I'll stick with good ole black imo
Not saying I wouldn't love a G45, but just wondering what the advantage of the shorter slide is over the G17 (I would assume concealability but the longer grip would make it less concealable than a G19)...the fwd slide serrations are on the Gen5 MOS model 17 and 19. I personally would prefer the longer sight radius and extra barrel length of the 17 for "home defense"
The advantage of the shorter slide and barrel length comes from carrying Outside the Waistband. Your cover garment doesn't have to be much longer than a T shirt to cover your sidearm.
Walked into the gun store with a wad of Benjamins, ready to lay down for the world famous G17...until I held it's tiny little grip in my hand. I looked at the gunsmith as a tear slowly rolled down my cheek...I didn't have to say a word. He nodded and gave me a wink and said "hang on, brother...all is not lost". He brought out this "new" G45...My eyes grew wide as he opened the case, then he handed it to me. I held it in my hand and quickly realized there is a god, and that he had guided Gaston's hands to make the perfect gun, just for me. This was a gun that was a perfect extension of my arm, hand, and fingers. I bought a few hundred rounds and walked over to the range. I have never shot so well, so effortlessly in my life. 5, 10, 25 yards...all on point, most in the red. Since then, I've put probably 2,500 rounds through my baby without a single hiccup. One day, I was determined to work her as hard as I could, and ran a good 500 rounds through her as fast as I could. She was still breathing heavy when I was done, but after a cooldown period, I put her in her case and went home with the biggest smile... Since I've had her, I've put a slightly lighter trigger and a trapezoidal slide release (due to my fat fingers). Shooting her is effortless, and is a joy and is by my side always. My love for my lady will never waver, never falter, and will proudly stand up to any menace that dare enter my domain...Peace, love, and good aim to all my brothers and sisters!
For me, the 19 shot smooth but didnt "feel" right in my hand. The 45 felt better but my accuracy shot was terrible. Then i held and shot the 48. Omg, what a beauty of a gun all around. It felt great in my hand, didnt feel that much of recoil, shots were accurate. Very happy with the 48.

I’ve had mine for about a year. It’s the best I’ve ever had. Now it the Glock performance trigger in it. Outstanding is the only way to describe it. For me, this is truly the best Glock ever.
I have one and love it I’ve had other Glocks they always seem fat to me ,that’s silly I know but this one the grip seems to be just right. a little thinner or is it me I really like it

This is the only Glock I personally own. It shoots a tad bit higher than most of my other pistols , but I believe that could improve greatly with a little more practice with this firearm. Maybe one day I will possibly purchase a G19X, but for now the G45 is the only Glock I really need.
I have mine with a p-40 warhawk cerakote paint job the only thing I hate about it is the spongy trigger overall one of the only glocks ill ever own since I am a 1911 man.

Wow! G21 is a beast to carry . Got a G30 & that fat slide makes for a good shooter but carry IWB is a bit uncomfortable at times.

Here's my 2 cents - I bought a G45 early this year and i love it ; i have other glocks but this is my favorite, i mean look you get the best of both worlds G17(lower) and G19 (upper) 🇺🇸 👍
I'm biased. I love my 19X. It was my very first gun. I knew I wanted it as soon as I held it.
The 19x is a fine gun.
Got a G45 MOS today and looking forward to picking it up. California makes us wait 10 days tho. But glad I chose what I did

Just purchased mine Saturday for $600 (Gen 5)out the door and it was MOS. I am getting ready to take it to the range and try it out, but I do love the feel and looks of the pistol so far! My EDC for the last year has been a Glock 19 and I intend to switch out the 19 and 45 periodically. This is my fifth Glock purchase and I think the 45 will fit in nicely with my 19, 20, 26, 31!
I bought the glock 45 non mos when they first came out i really wish i woulda got the mos version but non the less its been the best glock iv ever held in my hand, love the way it shoots and feels.
I picked up a Gen 5 last spring and love it! Mated it with a Surefire X300 and invested in an Omega 9k and Silencerco threaded barrel. Flawless and no ear ringing with 115 supers. I paid $475 in March 2020, now they are high as heck if you can find them. Good luck, you won’t be disappointed.

The G45 is a great option for home defense. I prefer the G43x with the shield mags for carry. Great review!

I bought my 19 Gen 4 in 2013 and still have it. Its been super reliable with over 6000 rounds through it .Last year I bought a 26 Gen 5 and now going to add the G45 to the collection.

Yes. I think ALL Glock models are great, but the Glock 45 is the GREATEST EVER … taking Glock’s famous “Perfection” signature slogan to a new level! (Plus-to all my diehard 45ACP carrier friends who good-naturedly give me a hard time for carrying a 9mm, I can now honestly retort, “Oh, I carry a 45.” 😉 )

Wait woah, was the Glock 45 mos priced at $1200 and change? Holy hell, I know there’s a shortage, but no stock Glock is worth over $700. These prices are silly, ppl need to just wait.
I bought one about 7 months ago for About $630. First handgun I have ever bought and sure am glad I chose this one.
I noticed that too, I was like wait a minute I only paid 700 for my non Mos glock 45. Wouldn't it be cheaper to just send out your slide?
I think that price of $1200 included the red dot sight.
@@roninky8012 no it didn’t. Guns.com priced gouged everyone during the “pandemic”. Remember places like this and never order from them because of it. A Glock mos model is $620 at a honest dealer. And a non mos model is $530 at a honest dealer. If you are payer more than that, then you are getting ripped off. Trust me. They didn’t pay that much so why should you.

I got one used from my local range with a MOS red dot and absolutely love it, best pistol I own for accuracy and durability. Check with your local range and you may get a steal of a deal like I did! Good Luck and a Great Handgun. It;s a little on the heavy side for carry and is hard for conceal but if the bad guys know their guns OR don't then the double stack 17+1 mag may change their minds on doing any more bad things to the innocent. I hope to never have to draw mine in any situation but it's just a deterrent if I don't have to. Like a condom; better to have and not need, than to need and not have.
I just purchased my G45 4 Days ago and I absolutely love it it fits my hands perfectly so ill use it as my home defense. But I still will edc my 43x just cause im a smaller Fram guy so it doesn't print like the 45 will. But in that sense its all about what you like not what somebody else likes so use what you feel most comfortable with for your edc and home defense.

Just got my g45 in non MOS version. Just gonna put a good light on it and upgrade the iron sights to ameriglo sights 👍🏻
For an RMR, just pop in a dovetail RMR baseplate. It goes in the rear sight groove like the “UTG Super Slim RMR® Mount for Glock Rear Sight Dovetail.”
Have my G45 since 2018, fired over 3000 rounds, not a single malfunction. I upgraded the trigger as well.

Just bought one today. Never been a fan of the full size I always got the 23, 19 and 19M but this 45 is definitely the best feeling gun I have ever had. Can’t wait to shoot it!
I have the G45 and love it! I have wide palms, but shorter fingers, so the grip and the compact size is ideal for me. What I like about this video: zero dislikes :-)

I finally got one. I was seeing prices above 700 so I waited. Found one about 2 weeks ago for 599 and got some night sights for 80. I think it is the best gun Glock has ever made. They didn’t have a MOS model. Still haven’t seen one of those in a gun shop. Might get it milled for the red dot. Might just leave it alone. I put an Olight BALDR Mini on it and I noticed something. Olight puts in two rail mount slots. One for Glocks which is skinny, and one for a 1913 Picatinny rail which is thicker. But on the G45, the slot is larger and the 1913 rail fits it perfectly. The Glock rail slot would be way to small. Has anyone else noticed Glock now has the rail slot large enough for lights that have the 1913 size rail slot? My Gen 4 G19 slot is narrower.
Comparing to G17 v5, which one is more accurate and suitable for shooting sport. Pls advise.
I love my G45, it was my very first firearm. It doesn’t only come in black tho, I have it in Gray! Beautiful gun & would recommend to anyone looking for a nice Glock to pick up
Had mine for a year now, was looking at handguns last week, but nothing compares to the G45. Love it!
My favorite EDC and nightstand gun is the Glock 19 Gen 5 with Ameriglo/Hackathorn sights. I have two identical G19's. I've daily carried and trained with the G19 for three years. I don't like any of the new "micro-9's" available today and have been thinking of getting the G45 recently. I can conceal carry the G19 without any issues year-round, not sure about the G45, but thinking of trying one out. Thanks for the video.

Not sure if they make 10 round mags for the G45 if not then no it comes with 17 round mags so wouldn’t be CA compliant.
I bought my Glock g45 back in February. I enjoy it a lot. I traded my 38 special revolver in on it. I think I made a good choice. So far I've put 2000 rounds thru it and not one issue the gun.
Glocks are incredibly reliable.
I still love my Glock 23 and 27. The G23 for home and G 27 for concealed carry. No holster just put it my pants front pocket. Since I'm a lefty I guess its time to upgrade and go for the G45.
I own two G19s, (Gen3/Gen4) also own a G26(Gen4) and G27(Gen2). I was in the market for a G19X back in 2020, but the price was just outrageous. About $750 or more. I passed on it and ended up getting a M&P 2.0 with a 5in Barrel in FDE ($454), I already had kinda moved to M&P with a M&P 40C (1.0), that I later converted to 9mm. I examined a G45 MOS the other day at a local shop, in my opinion, I would agree the G45 is the best 9mm Glock for the consumer, but the G45 MOS is even better, as it gives you most of the options that owner of older pistol had pay for custom work.
Front Serrations and Optic Cuts are a great feature to have on pistol. I regret not waiting, (although, who knew), but now, most M&Ps come with front serrations and optic cuts.
It’s my first firearm at 30 yo and I’m so happy with it just wanna get a few mods like a ramjet compensator combo

this have little too big and heavy be EDC gun. but good option normal range shooting gun. best EDC have 3-3,5" barrel not 4" and polymer body weight lot less, and 9mm or 380 cal. S/W shield 2.0, taurus, sig sauerg3 etc many better gun have EDC gun.

I’ve poured hundreds of rounds through my Glock 45 9mm. Installed a few upgrades and absolutely love the gun. It’s a easy gun to shoot well, control is great, and I’ve not experienced a single malfunction. I just love that pistol!
I agree. My Glock 45 is the best 9mm I’ve ever owned! All I did to it was add tritium night sites and a light. Best ever!
Well, I got mine back in January and I have to say it’s a very comfortable shooting handgun

Had my G45 for 3 months now as my EDC I’m 5’6” 140lbs and I never print. I wanted a G19 it wasn’t available so I got this the grip is barely bigger 🔥🔥
By far, the G45 is my favorite full sized service pistol. When the G19x came out, I was struck that it was so close to being perfect, but I had no use for the color. As soon as the G45 came out, I owned one, and still do. It is as quick as a cat and highly accurate. The G45 is like Baby Bear's soup. JUST RIGHT.
G19X is KING! Yeah the 45 has some minor upgrades that for me, don't seem to make a difference. I can still press check just as easily without the front serations. The wider mag-well doesn't lower loading time for me. I didn't have to change the sights. Not worried about running gen5 mags through it. And the color is just...Mmmmm...GORGEOUS!! Yep...The G19X stands alone!
I had a Glock 45 & Glock 19 , both Gen 5. Saw a semi rare old S&W .357 & traded. After the Glock 47 was released, I pondered do I need one.
Then the idea hit me. Googled for a Glock 45 Lower. Have a complete factory coming to my FFL Dealer Glock 45 lower & is complete for $225 + 12 shipping. Complete slides are twice the price
Just picked up a G45 yesterday. Only reason I went with it is because I didn't want to pay extra for the 19x. Just need a +2 extension like the X. Gonna throw some TFX sights on it and call it good.

I love my G45. I took it out to the range earlier today and it is way more accurate than I can shoot it, but at 10 yards I can cut the center circle out of an eight inch target with it, and doing rapid double and triple rapid fire shots keep them all in the eight inch target. I added Trijicon night sights and a white light with visible green lazer combo and it's my nightstand home defense gun. Loaded with eighteen rounds of Hornaday Critical defense ammo, I sleep very well at night! 😉
I'm currently researching because I really LOVE the Glock quality. I've owned the G23 40 S&W and have G20 10mm but I really want a 9mm and looking for which Glock would best suit me. I don't know if I should go G17 or G45 but I'm pretty sure it's down to the 2 but may just grt both.
I’ve carried mine on duty for a little over a month. I think it’s a great pistol so far. Time will tell as to whether or not it’s better than the gen 4 G17 I carried for years.
LOVE MINE, HAD THE 45 FOR 18 M0NTHS. INSTALLED OVERWATCH TRIGGER, CALOOSA GRIP TAPE AND GLOCK +2 MAG EXTENSIONS . ITS MY GO TO.
Been using glocks for over 25 years, while I like the G45, when in my hand it feels confusing like if I want a compact carry my G19 or if I want a full size carry the G17! Maybe someday.

The best Glock ever made IMO is the G43X MOS; especially for EDC. However, I am a huge G45 fan now and will be purchasing one for HD.
I normally don't say i love earthly thing but i really like my G45 this gun fits my hand like a velvet glove in the words ofthe late Bon Scott of AC/DC this gun has great balance shoots incredibly well the ergonomics is right on point accurate very easy to shoot this is now my edc!

Get a MCARBO trigger spring kit Polish it as per the installation video then put a vickers tactical carry trigger on the factory bar you polish. 15$ trigger kit 45$ trigger shoe.
Great video, thanks for the info. I wanted to like the G45 but feel I shoot my G19 MOS a lot better and it feels more comfortable in my hand. Still think it’s a great gun and will probably add one to my collection in the near future. I currently have a G43x w/a Holosun 507k and a G19 w/ a Trijicon RMRcc.

Same here. I like G45 but the 17 grip just doesn't feel right to me like a G19 or G23 which the hump is higher on my hand I guess.

Just picked up a new G45 for $580. I’ve only shot and handled a G19 before and it was a decade ago. Been loving it so far!
The grip size is what sold me on the g45. I'm a lifelong Sig guy and never really liked the Glock feel. After waiting hopelessly for Sig to produce more metal framed handguns, I gave in and decided to give Glock another try. Tested the g45 and was sold. Glock checked all the boxes for me on this one.
You never really liked Glock but the grip size of the 45 "sold you" ? Its just a 17 grip size ! Nothing that wasnt there before!

It's just personal preference. True between all Glocks and true between Glock and other manufacturers. If it weren't for the lack of supply this would undoubtedly be the best era historically for gun buying and the excellent firearms being produced.
I’ve been carrying a G45 MOS for over a year now and it’s my favorite carry gun. I have large hands and this gun fits me better than the G19. Very well balanced and shootable. I added an RMR and upgraded the trigger. Also, if you go with the MOS, get a quality aftermarket plate. The factory plate from Glock is straight garbage.

Yea been thinking of grabbing me one of the 45s lately because I kinda feel the same about the tan 19x color I don't care for color guns especially these weird Gucci Glocks dudes got to me it's something that makes these dudes guns almost look fake and that's just weird to me honestly the 19x isn't bad like the multicolor ones but still I'll stick with good ole black imo
Not saying I wouldn't love a G45, but just wondering what the advantage of the shorter slide is over the G17 (I would assume concealability but the longer grip would make it less concealable than a G19)...the fwd slide serrations are on the Gen5 MOS model 17 and 19. I personally would prefer the longer sight radius and extra barrel length of the 17 for "home defense"
Can't go wrong with the G17. Fine gun.
The advantage of the shorter slide and barrel length comes from carrying Outside the Waistband. Your cover garment doesn't have to be much longer than a T shirt to cover your sidearm.

Walked into the gun store with a wad of Benjamins, ready to lay down for the world famous G17...until I held it's tiny little grip in my hand. I looked at the gunsmith as a tear slowly rolled down my cheek...I didn't have to say a word. He nodded and gave me a wink and said "hang on, brother...all is not lost".
He brought out this "new" G45...My eyes grew wide as he opened the case, then he handed it to me. I held it in my hand and quickly realized there is a god, and that he had guided Gaston's hands to make the perfect gun, just for me. This was a gun that was a perfect extension of my arm, hand, and fingers. I bought a few hundred rounds and walked over to the range. I have never shot so well, so effortlessly in my life. 5, 10, 25 yards...all on point, most in the red. Since then, I've put probably 2,500 rounds through my baby without a single hiccup. One day, I was determined to work her as hard as I could, and ran a good 500 rounds through her as fast as I could. She was still breathing heavy when I was done, but after a cooldown period, I put her in her case and went home with the biggest smile...
Since I've had her, I've put a slightly lighter trigger and a trapezoidal slide release (due to my fat fingers). Shooting her is effortless, and is a joy and is by my side always. My love for my lady will never waver, never falter, and will proudly stand up to any menace that dare enter my domain...Peace, love, and good aim to all my brothers and sisters!
For me, the 19 shot smooth but didnt "feel" right in my hand. The 45 felt better but my accuracy shot was terrible. Then i held and shot the 48. Omg, what a beauty of a gun all around. It felt great in my hand, didnt feel that much of recoil, shots were accurate. Very happy with the 48.

My hand was too large to properly grip the 19 needed the full size 45.
All my glocks are my favorite, but glock 45 stands as my buddy with jhp and extra mags.👍
I’ve had mine for about a year. It’s the best I’ve ever had. Now it the Glock performance trigger in it. Outstanding is the only way to describe it. For me, this is truly the best Glock ever.

This is the only Glock I personally own. It shoots a tad bit higher than most of my other pistols , but I believe that could improve greatly with a little more practice with this firearm. Maybe one day I will possibly purchase a G19X, but for now the G45 is the only Glock I really need.

I have mine with a p-40 warhawk cerakote paint job the only thing I hate about it is the spongy trigger overall one of the only glocks ill ever own since I am a 1911 man.
