The 19x was designed for soldiers, who are typically wearing gloves. The lip on the front of the grip is intended to prevent extra material on the bottom of a glove from becoming pinched between the bottom of the grip and the mag baseplate during reloads.
That lip also helps to prevent the floor plate of the magazine from being knocked off. I've seen patrol cops lose their base plate on Glock 17, getting in and out of patrol cars.
@@User7048 This^. Patrol cars…now up that to tactical vehicles and you know exactly why the lip is there. Have not observed a base plate getting knock off, but have observed premature wear to the bearing surface of the mag release (internal wear). The mag release is a durable item but sacrificial and made of a softer polymer than the magazine.

The whole point of military "MODULAR" systems is that they are easily modified for the purpose of the mission. Sig p320 won the contract due to that exact fact. Great video, I have and carry the 19x (retired army mp/SRT/combat vet). The magwell lip protects the magazine when getting in or out of a vehicle, especially tactical vehicles. Constant impacts on the lower front portion of magazine will shorten the lifespan of the mag release and accidental mag drops may occur. Lanyard loop makes perfect sense to infantrymen and MP’s and protects the rear edge of the magazine from impacts. The 19x is the same height/length as the 1911 commander, width is slightly wider, so it carry’s like a 1911 commander, perfect. As to the 3/7 comment, the 19x is IMO the most acceptable service pistol (duty/defense) for the reasons he stated to include repair-ability, shoot-ability, and after market support, lights, lasers, sights. I agree that the internals should stay as designed and those parts are very inexpensive and durable. The 45 has better Barbie features and dresses up nicer, however, LEO might want the hated mag lip to protect the internal mag release from impacts with the female connector on the seatbelt. IMO, the Service pistol winner is the 19x for the reasons listed above which most people dislike. For home defense and range time, the 45 is an acceptable handgun. Wether someone needs a red dot is up to them but the 19x can still be milled.
I believe the rationale behind the 45 was to make an LEO version of the 19X, as their uniform standards usually require firearms that are black in color. Great comment, thanks for the visit.
The 19x is gen 4.5, it was engineered for military use and to meet the contract criteria. The g45 is a testament to the 19x’s success, plus some modifications glock users have been requesting. Would like to get both when I move from commie California… Glock 45mos for cc, 19x for shtf.
The Glock pistol was built for military use. It literally came to life specifically for the Austrian Army, with direct input from the Austrian general to Gaston Glock who wrote the notes down on a napkin at lunch. Meeting was totally impromptu. The 19X is a generation 5 iteration, not a 4.5. The G45 is the evolution of the 19X based on user feedback, just like other Glock pistols are.
lol u can removed baseplate and your problems is solved . all mags can able to use the glock 19x all kinds of magazine for the gen3-5 . trust me and u can thank me later :D
The only reason I don't fully get the 19x now is because minus the slight frame difference and the G45 having front slide cuts, they are the same pistol. The 19X has an MOS version now, but they make the G45 in FDE with any without the MOS cut. Unless someone really wants the more bronze color for the slide, they are basically the same.
Just found your channel and subscribed. Really dig the comparison. I was really set on the 19 (not X) mos. Now I have to try out a 45. Great video man!
One thing you failed to mention whether you knew this or are just finding out is the Glock 19X came with Maritime Spring Cups. Maritime Spring Cups are your answer if water, oil, or debris get inside your Glock firing pin channel, it will still function and fire. Maritime Spring Cups come in a set of two, one for each side. It cups the striker and captures the striker spring. This feature enables your Glock to fire after it's been underwater and in extreme hostile environmental conditions. This allows your Glock to immediately fire if it has been in the water without having to field strip it. Personally I own the G19X and I love it but also the fact it was entered into combat trials and passed which adds the cool factor if you like that kind of thing. That said I love the added features of the G45. From the beveled magwell, to the mos plate. I am hit or miss on the front slide serrations because while they allow you to press check easier they can also tenderize your thumb if you ride the slide, they also scrap off bits of kydex holsters and make a zipper sound when drawing from said kydex holster. I have the 17 FS which has them. At the end of the day they are the same package with different feature sets for different environments. Seals work in and around water so the Lanyard loop, the maritime spring cups could make all the difference in the world to them versus a civilian carrying for personal protection and the range. Either way I will probably add a G45 to my collection. Good video have a good day.
I own both guns. From what I was told about the non flared magwell on the 19X. It had to do with trying to keep the gun more sealed up for military use. Plus I was also told that the 19X comes factory with the maritime spring cups. I also found out that the 19X weighs 1.9oz's more than the G45. not sure why 19X lower polymer part weighs .2oz's more. I know what that's from. 19X slide with spring and guide rod and barrel removed weighs 1.7oz's more than the G45 slide. I don't know why that is. Maybe that extra weight has something to do with it, but I can hold a tighter group with the 19X.
I follow Chad and Jason as well. Both have fantastic channels. I discovered the 45 a month ago and like a dummy thought it was 45 cal not being a Glock guy. Love the feel and balance in the hand…PERFECT
I own the G45, no regrets here. I do follow Chad’s channel. I swapped out my sights and it works great for me. I got mine at blue pricing and they didn’t have a 19 x anywhere near the same price. I save over 200.00 and never have looked back. Good stuff, thank you for sharing.
To me it's the same exact gun. I like both but G45 is my fave, I have battlefield green 45. Just earned a sub brother, I'm also a security contractor. Trying to get into the EP part of it
G45 is my first Glock owned , as well as my first semi auto and is my current Edc. I have about six semi autos as well as some being other Glocks but traded them off. I did this cause the 45 is by far the best Glock IMO. Great vid
Do You experience any bite on your palm with the 15-round mag with the Xgrip? Some people on TH-cam have said they have and actually bought an O-ring to fill in that little space on the grigp to avoid that. Thanks
I'm making my first purchase for work and personal use, thanks for making this video.I got some good tips also getting information as you stated from men who used both in their line of work.❤
Walther PDP has the same type of lip on bottom of grip also and it actually helps to control shooting high if you squeeze your pinky on said lip and it really does help..
I couldn't stand a glock for the reason of I thought they were ugly and I couldn't find one to fit my hand. Then they came with the G43X mos. It was perfect. They as I was giving them another try I ran across the G19X and that Coyote color. I love that gun. I carry it and shoot it great. Going to get it cut for an optic at some point but it doesn't really matter as far as functionality
Seriously, instead of paying to have the slide cut look into a Dovedot first. LOL I am not a paid spokesperson, but I think it is a great solution and plan on buying one for my daughters S&W Shield as well.
I was in the Special Forces in the 1980’s and I agree with all of your points. The G45 is more versatile than the 19X, but I just want to point out a slight error. I like Jason Pike and Chadd from 3 of 7, I’ve got a few issues with Chadd but in his video he didn’t say the 19X is more versatile than the G45. When he said Durability, Reliability and versatility he was talking about all the Glocks he had on table. Among them the 19x is his favorite but he did not say which of the weapons on the table was the most versatile. But you are absolutely right. The G45 is more versatile than the 19X for the reasons you stated. One thing he did say he liked about the 19X is the lanyard loop to prevent loss of weapon, which I like too. Just pointing these out. Thanks for the great analysis. Great points.
Appreciate the comment and the visit. I agree with your representation of what Chad said, and that’s what I intended to say myself about what he had said about the 19X so if I came across as saying “Chadd said the 19X is more versatile than the G45” then I just communicated my thoughts poorly.
The best thing I've done to all my Glocks is install that new Glock Performance trigger. Great triggers and lowers the pull to 3.5 lbs., and it's a Glock factory part, so the gun won't be considered modified if you ever had to use it in a defensive situation. The P-mags and Pro-mags are the old style and fit the 19x, I use them for practice but have never had any problem with them.
I see what your saying but I target shoot with my guns, I'm retired, I shoot 50 to 100 rds. a day 4 or 5 days a week. Am fairly new to the plastic wonder guns, used to 1911's so I have to help out the triggers on them all I can. Can't hit the side of my barn from the house otherwise. Take care.
Him thanks for sharing. This is the first time I've heard "G19 upper and G17 lower". Does this mean that everything on the upper side is G17, and everything under is G19? If this is the case, then what is left of the G45? IF this combo works well I'm all for it, but I'm not sure what to change to make it a G17 upper and G17 lower? Thanks in advance.
Negative. The upper (aka the slide which is the metal part) is G19. The lower (aka the grip which is the plastic part) are G17. So you have a longer grip and higher capacity mags, while having a shorter slide and shorter distance between sights
It works depending on your physique I’d say. Protruding belly I’d run it strong side, flat belly shouldn’t be an issue with a good gun belt, and a custom holster with a claw.
Great comparassion video!!! I have the G45 and I love it, I noticed you add it the Beavertail Backstrap. What is the reason? or just to prevent the slide bite? On me the standard one (S) feels good on my hand (more grip) but with the beavertail I think is more stable (less recoil). What do you think? what is your opinion?
The other difference is the 45 has cocking serrations and the 19x doesn’t. I’ve liked the serrations on handguns for a while. I’ve had them cut into most of my 1911’s. I couldn’t decide on which one really was a better value so I bought both. Normally I’m not in the $ position to do that but am purging many of my Sigs and going with glocks now. I’ve had most of the cool handguns from the last 3 decades and it’s time to treat them just like a tool now that I’m an old $hitbird. Enjoyed your review and subbed your channel. Take care.
Another brother from another mother. Thanks. Same is going on with me. I had legendary firearms from Sig and others. Unloading other makers now however except for a few choice stragglers and getting (more) Glocks. Reviews to come.
Got my first Glock two weeks ago. Was considering the G45 and the 19X but since it is intended or competition use and not carry, I ended up with a G17MOS instead.
17MOS is hard to beat and a great choice, but G45 to my knowledge was designed primarily for a police duty firearm, while the G34 was designed mainly for competition. That said, I’ve competed with the G45 and have carried it on the job and as an EDC as well. Can’t go wrong with any of them for any of those roles-even the G34 is used on duty, especially by some SWAT teams. Carry on, and thanks for the visit.
I own both the G45 and 19X and they are damn near perfect pistols. I had my local gunsmith remove that lip on the grip of the 19X and now I can all Glock mags through it. Like Chad said the trigger are adequate but for what the Glock is designed for, its as good it gets. My 19X sits on my nightstand too.
The g19X was for the military and not designed for concealment. The G45 is a 19X for the civilian population. Theres a local gun shop that has a few 19x’s. I have a G45 and it is quick to get follow ups on target.
@@JustDefense i use an alien gear IWB holster for my g45 and it’s very comfortable but on the same token the lower prints at the 4 o’clock position. Definitely not a sub compact but my EDC is a sub compact.
Great video! I’m a novice and I really like them both. I can’t afford it yet but someday I hope to get one. Very informative. Blessings and merry Christmas!
Chad said the 19X is best for him. Liking the 19 slide with the 17 grip. He didn't say it was the absolute best. He also filed down the lip at the bottom of the grip to match the 45. Love the content and your channel
I own 3 Glock 19x’s. The best Glock I have ever shot. Believe it or not. All 3 were purchased at the same pawn shop. Your points are truly the gravitational pull that occurs when it is in your hand and going bang.
I have never shot the 19x but I do have the 45 and love it. Im sure they both shoot similar, It is my favorite out of all of them, if I could carry my 45 over my 17 duty pistol I would. Another one to look at and consider is the Arex delta gen 2, they have an x version and I have it as well. Great choice.
About the mag compatibility i use my full size glocks with the +2 mag plate so the gen 5 mags for the 19x is not an issue for me but i do recommend getting stronger springs when you use the +2 i never had an issue with the one that comes with them but it ads peace of mind i guess
G19x also has the maritime spring cups inside the pin assembly, so water can flow through, allowing the pin to still move after if fills with water. This is a great feature for members in the Navy or troops that are in water a lot. I believe the G19x is the only Glock pistol that comes with this feature from the factory, but this modification can be done to other variants.
I used my G19X for duty carry and loved it. I was thinking about switching to the G45, but no spring cups. I’ll take the military 19X version. Good job on the video though👍🏼😊
The bevel will function similarly to the flare, just less pronounced. The thinner polymer at the opening creates a larger opening (granted small difference) and the bevel funnels it in
Understanding why the 19X Magwell is designed the way it is, its not for me. Being retired Infantry I have had my fare share of smacking a lanyard loop into the palm of my hand during intense reloads. The G45 is newer, easier to add a Magwell to it as I have done to mine, however for either one regardless of which one you own you can always purchase the Dovedot and add an optic which is exactly what I am doing to my G45 as I did not purchase the MOS version. I think all things considering, at least in my opinion, the G45 is the better pistol taking all things into consideration. I actually carry my G45 and enjoy its reliability, and completely agree with not doing any internal upgrades to your carry gun. Magwell for faster/easier reloading, Dovedot to add an Optic which will also change out your front sight, win win in my opinion. The approximately 5.5 lb trigger is easy enough to rapidly engage a target, but heavy enough for peace of mind for conceal carry. I will say that I love the Coyote Brown color of the 19X and still want to buy one, but it would never replace my G45 for carry. I own multiple Glock's and the G45 is my favorite. And my Magwell I added keeps the magazine and frame safe from that pesky seatbelt connector.
These are awesome and the 47 even stepped it up another notch. If I didn’t have any of these and I was in the market, I wouldn’t be able to get to the gun shop fast enough to get one
Thank you for that detail comparison! I suspect the 19x notched magwell was to receive a tighter fit of a magazine design that was probably scrapped because it wouldn't seat in the 45. With regard to the grooved frame, there are times when a type 3 occurs and you cannot wedge your fingers in such to force the magazine out. Whether you groove the underside of the grip or leave some material on the base plate, something is needed to allow for force to strip the magazine, or force the slide open in the alternative.
I agree with you on the added recoil control from the longer grip and the shorter (lighter) slide. I have the Shadow Systems version with my XR920 Elite (G19 length slide, and G17 length grip), and I shoot it much flatter than my MR920 Elite (G19 size grip and slide), or my Gen 5 G19...
Yep it's the physics of the thing: big handle and less reciprocating mass. Thanks for the visit. YT is suppressing my channel, small though it is. I was running at around 9 to ten times the views and subs per day that I currently am until it dropped over 90% on a single day and has never recovered. I was skyrocketing, then totally flat. Thanks again.
I carry a G45 for duty and the gun is amazing. 1000s of rounds. Flawless. I will say get a 19, 19x, 45 and run same lights and holsters and save yourself some money
Werkz makes the holster I am running (model M7) when I am using a Glock in these videos-fits not only 19/19X/45 but also 22/23/34/35/32/31 with the light.
I believe the lip on on the magwell on the 19x is to accomodate the 19rd extended mags that it comes with. Also there is the new MOS version they released. Only thing I would recommend on the 19x is removing the lanyard loop on the magwell (just another thing to get in the way). Ive also found ShieldArms makes mag baseplates that give you +4 from a standard 17rd and are extremely durable. So for my Glock 19x I now have (2) 19rd mags and (1) 21rd mag
I love my g19x ! I sent it off to have holosun RDS milled on it, and dremmel out some polymer off the front magazine lip so now it accepts all G17 mags of all generation 😇🙌 Shoots like a dream 😊
Great video. You explained everything that needs to be explained, i dont make videos so I'm glad you did. I have a 19, 45, 19x, 47 and 17. I carry my 19 and 45 the most. Both are cut for ACROs. What I wear dictates which one i carry. My advice, get a Glock 47 and 19. You have four different glocks: 19 and 47, but also can swap slides and end up with a 45 or 49. Everything covered for any type of carry. Also they have the 19x MOS out. Would still have to dremel down the front lip to use gen5 mags. Not a big deal though. Highly ecommend the Foward Control plate over any other plate if your going to go MOS. Best plate available. Although i prefer direct mount and thats how my 19 and 45 are set up. Good video.
Forward Controls Design does make great optic plates, I’m running several of them. Thanks for the outstanding comment. Pls share. YT is crushing my channel
Go for the G45 talo with the acro Aimpoint mounted directly to the slide from the factory!!! they’re getting hard and harder to find, but they’re worth every penny
Lots of rounds, no issues at all. That said, I don't do drops onto concrete ( like Sage Dynamics does) to prove my optics, and the SRO isn't ruggedized to the same degree as the RMR.
Thank you for a great review on the 19x vs 45. I have the G 23 40 cal and the most frustrating part is loading mags. I always have to double check when re loaded a fully loaded mag (13) but if I remove one round and reload seems to make re loading more efficient. So the 45 seems to solve this issue. Plus it has the MOS option which deff makes the 45 more versatile. Thanks again 👍
@@JustDefense True, thats very odd, maybe the next time I get a chance to speak with a Glock that rep that comes into my FFL I work at I shall inquire as to why...lol
Everyone forgets the maritime spring cups on the 19X. I don't own a g45. But I own several gen 5 Glocks. I don't know why but the 19X feels best in my hands and is my most enjoyable Glock to shoot.
I held both yesterday and must say if you have big hands like myself. You will favor the g19x grip a lot more than the G45. The lip at the bottom of the frame, pushes my hand upwards. Allowing to have a really good purchase.
If I remember correctly they’re cups in the striker channel that prevent water from getting in there. But I’m not the best guy to ask. Thanks for the visit.
Not long ago I purchased my first Glock (G19X). I didnt know how much I would love the G19X over my 10mm 1911 A2. It looks great, feels great at the range, and it has an ambidextrous mag release (Im left handed) that's super easy to switch. Finally, I cannot argue with the G19X capacity. It comes with 3 magazines..Two 17+2 mags, and one flat base 17 round....that's 54 rounds!
Over 10k rounds through G45 without one hiccup. I'm no SEAL but I love the feel of both pistols. I'm a fan of the Trijicon HD XR night sights on the G45.
Because the G 19 X is made more for a lawn Forssman and extreme combat like for military, so do you want the address around it off on the magazine release if you are putting a lot of rounds through rid of Coors and I 45 is a new Oregon and more for special forces but it’s more for the civilian market at the moment actually
Actually I believe the 19X was military (the safety equipped version was their submission to the recent trials) and G45 the LE variant in black for uniformed officers.
I got a G19 Gen 3 and I love it, I just use it as a conceal carry or when I work as a executive protection officer, I bought a G45 as a duty gun for the versatility that offers I put a Holosun X2 and a TLR-7 same as yours. I can tell you for a fact that G45 mos by far in my opinion is one of the best Glock you can get. Flat shooter, excellent grip size and extremely functional as well…. Best of the best 😊
I believe Chad made that video before the G45 was released but I could be wrong. I’m currently going through the debate on which I like better lol. The FDE color pulls you in to want it more, but the magwell on the 45 makes the 19x seem obsolete now. They have a newer 19x with a threaded barrel and optic mount that can take a Holosun SCS directly mounted on it. That’s a game changer.
@@JustDefense I went back and refreshed myself on Chad’s video and indeed the G45 was on the market because it was on the table so he definitely sided with the 19x over the 45. Have both 45 & 19X but the Glock 19 and 26 are my go too CCW . I can CCW the 19X or 45 if canted holster and button up shirt or jacket. Actually here in October I'm celebrating Glocktober CCW my 19X right now.
The 19x was designed for soldiers, who are typically wearing gloves. The lip on the front of the grip is intended to prevent extra material on the bottom of a glove from becoming pinched between the bottom of the grip and the mag baseplate during reloads.

This was my dream come true 2018 when was purchasing my 1st pistol.. Was thinking about G17 back then, G45 owner here
Many call it the perfect pistol
@@JustDefense the looks everything.. nice to sit in chair with holster the muzzle not poking etc
Gen 5 mags will work with gen 3 or 4 base plates in the g19x...
That’s true. Thanks for the comment.
lol u can removed baseplate and your problems is solved .
all mags can able to use the glock 19x all kinds of magazine for the gen3-5 .
trust me and u can thank me later :D
The only reason I don't fully get the 19x now is because minus the slight frame difference and the G45 having front slide cuts, they are the same pistol. The 19X has an MOS version now, but they make the G45 in FDE with any without the MOS cut. Unless someone really wants the more bronze color for the slide, they are basically the same.
Basically.
Just found your channel and subscribed. Really dig the comparison. I was really set on the 19 (not X) mos. Now I have to try out a 45. Great video man!
Thanks for the sub!
The 19x came out years before the G45 did. I have them both, but I do wish the 19x had an MOS version.
That's right, but did the G45 come out in advance of Gen5's? I believe it did.
@JustDefense the G45 wasn't in the original line up of the Gen 5 Glocks.
@@secondlibertygunclub924 I think that's right, and I think it was out in front of the "rest" of the Gen5's
Agree. Without the MOS option I have no use for it!
@@JustDefenseyou’re correct
Appreciate the thoughtful comment. Thanks for visiting
I own both guns.
From what I was told about the non flared magwell on the 19X.
It had to do with trying to keep the gun more sealed up for military use.
Plus I was also told that the 19X comes factory with the maritime spring cups.
I also found out that the 19X weighs 1.9oz's more than the G45. not sure why
19X lower polymer part weighs .2oz's more. I know what that's from.
19X slide with spring and guide rod and barrel removed weighs 1.7oz's more than the G45 slide. I don't know why that is.
Maybe that extra weight has something to do with it, but I can hold a tighter group with the 19X.
Excellent comment, thanks for visiting.
You’re not a former Seal, you are just a Seal. Great comparison video!

I own the G45, no regrets here. I do follow Chad’s channel. I swapped out my sights and it works great for me. I got mine at blue pricing and they didn’t have a 19 x anywhere near the same price. I save over 200.00 and never have looked back. Good stuff, thank you for sharing.

G45 is my first Glock owned , as well as my first semi auto and is my current Edc. I have about six semi autos as well as some being other Glocks but traded them off. I did this cause the 45 is by far the best Glock IMO. Great vid
Lack of front serrations on the 19X is a thing that I would miss, but the little lip on the mag well is interesting.
Other pistols do have the lip as well…HK P30 for instance.
G45 is my current duty gun. Works like a charm!
It’s juuuuuust right.

Ok. The P30 as well come to think of it
Thanks for the review. I decided to purchase the Glock 45. Because I have the Glock 17.
Good decision
How do you know?
Excellent video! Thanks. I think that Glock just came out with a 19X MOS…
Really….hm, interesting…

Streamlight TLR7 and TLR-7A. Recently got another 7-A for the19X that’s FDE in color.
Thanks for the visit and the comment.
Will it fit the reg 19 or only the 19x
I subbed up!
Yeah but …too…many…Glocks!
But why change the trigger if it’s a carry gun for defense really doesn’t make sense
Take care.
You do shoot a carry gun don’t you…
Him thanks for sharing.
Yes?
Thanks for tuning in.
Negative. The upper (aka the slide which is the metal part) is G19. The lower (aka the grip which is the plastic part) are G17. So you have a longer grip and higher capacity mags, while having a shorter slide and shorter distance between sights
Is the g45 mos easy for appendix carry?
It works depending on your physique I’d say. Protruding belly I’d run it strong side, flat belly shouldn’t be an issue with a good gun belt, and a custom holster with a claw.
Ok cool,I have a one pack lol so maybe the hellcat pro.
I think there may be some benefit with reducing muzzle flip, but yes the main reason I put that on all my Gen 4/5s is to avoid slide bite.
I have them both. I can't decide which I like best.
I get it.
I love my Glock 45! Great video!

I love the lip. It helps a magwell stay put. I use the SLR magwell and it's perfect.
SLR?
SLR Rifleworks. They make a great magwell for the 19X@@JustDefense
I believe there’s a few videos showing the 19X having maritime strikers. The 19X was the first to implement short slide + full size frame
maritime cups, yes, I failed to include that.
I love my G45 and now I have the Glock enhanced trigger on it and that made a huge difference in shooting and accuracy. It was well worth it.
Keep that trigger assembly clean, or it will fail, I’ve heard.
My long lost brother.
The g19X was for the military and not designed for concealment.
The G45 is a 19X for the civilian population.
Theres a local gun shop that has a few 19x’s.
I have a G45 and it is quick to get follow ups on target.
Sure but with the right holster, belt, attire and physique they’re not too hard to conceal.

Chad said the 19X is best for him. Liking the 19 slide with the 17 grip. He didn't say it was the absolute best. He also filed down the lip at the bottom of the grip to match the 45. Love the content and your channel
Forgot to mention that a lot of seals prefer the lanyard loop because they're in water a lot and don't want to loose the gun if dropped.
Yeah the G45 is hard to top. Check out the G30S sometime-my most recent video is about it. Thanks for the visit
What size ammeriglow front did you go with?
The G45 actually has Trijicon Bright & Tough night sights.
About the mag compatibility i use my full size glocks with the +2 mag plate so the gen 5 mags for the 19x is not an issue for me but i do recommend getting stronger springs when you use the +2 i never had an issue with the one that comes with them but it ads peace of mind i guess
I use em for my spare mags when concealing.
Very true.
I got rid of the 19x lip and the lanyard and than i put a agancy magwell in

@JustDefense I used dremel file and fine grit sand paper. Looks great and way more practical 👍🏻

It has spring cups just the standard not the maritime cups
New springs cups are like $15.
The bevel will function similarly to the flare, just less pronounced. The thinner polymer at the opening creates a larger opening (granted small difference) and the bevel funnels it in
Thanks for the visit and the input.
G45 is hard to beat.
These are awesome and the 47 even stepped it up another notch. If I didn’t have any of these and I was in the market, I wouldn’t be able to get to the gun shop fast enough to get one
Agreed, they’re all great
excellent review thank you
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for visiting. Appreciate the comment.
Best video on comparing these
Thank you
Appreciate it. Share it around maybe.
The 19x don’t take regular 9mm mags ?
Doesn’t take gen5 mags, not without modifying mags or the mag well.
I carry a G45 for duty and the gun is amazing. 1000s of rounds. Flawless. I will say get a 19, 19x, 45 and run same lights and holsters and save yourself some money

@@JustDefense that's awesome. Glad other people are doing the se thing. I hate having 600 different guns. It gets exhausting
Would gen 5 mags work on the 19x if you shaved the front lip off of the grip?
Yessir
Probably
I believe the lip on on the magwell on the 19x is to accomodate the 19rd extended mags that it comes with. Also there is the new MOS version they released. Only thing I would recommend on the 19x is removing the lanyard loop on the magwell (just another thing to get in the way). Ive also found ShieldArms makes mag baseplates that give you +4 from a standard 17rd and are extremely durable. So for my Glock 19x I now have (2) 19rd mags and (1) 21rd mag
Only oem mags for me, but if they’re working for you…
I love my g19x ! I sent it off to have holosun RDS milled on it, and dremmel out some polymer off the front magazine lip so now it accepts all G17 mags of all generation 😇🙌

Lots of rounds, no issues at all. That said, I don't do drops onto concrete (

Yup. And of course now they come out with an MOS version.

Does the G45 have a serrated trigger?
Your standard Glock trigger.
Because the G 19 X is made more for a lawn Forssman and extreme combat like for military, so do you want the address around it off on the magazine release if you are putting a lot of rounds through rid of Coors and I 45 is a new Oregon and more for special forces but it’s more for the civilian market at the moment actually

That is indeed interesting. Thanks for stopping by.
@@JustDefense I went back and refreshed myself on Chad’s video and indeed the G45 was on the market because it was on the table so he definitely sided with the 19x over the 45. Very interesting indeed. It’s funny he had trouble with the mags dropping out. It made your video all the more prominent lol
Have both 45 & 19X but the Glock 19 and 26 are my go too CCW . I can CCW the 19X or 45 if canted holster and button up shirt or jacket. Actually here in October I'm celebrating Glocktober CCW my 19X right now.
