Mercury 9.9 Operating Tips 1 of 2

Motor needs choke when cold...needs time to warm up...has twist shifter. Press “throttle only” button to advance throttle into rpm range without putting motor in gear. Twist one way for forward; twist the other way for reverse. Make sure motor is warmed up and can take a load (Be out in gear) before leaving the dock.

The 9.9 Merc 4 cycles have an accelerator pump, and each twist of the throttle floods the engine with a shot of gasoline. Don't flood the engine, with or without the engine running.

I have the same motor and it works fine in throttle only mode but when engaged into gear will not reach high RPM and sounds bogged down? Andy suggestions? I have replaced fuel,Plugs,cleaned carb twice same problem.
