Hello I’m at New owner, I start the motor cold with the choke out / open. After the motor is on in Neutral, after letting the motor warm up, I close the choke and the motor cuts off. I read that I should not run the motor out in the motor with the choke out. I can’t find the manual downloadable online. What am I doing wrong? Am I using the choke incorrectly or do I need to look at the fuel pump? Motor dies after I close the choke. Any thoughts or help is much appreciated

The 9.9 Merc 4 cycles have an accelerator pump, and each twist of the throttle floods the engine with a shot of gasoline. Don't flood the engine, with or without the engine running.

Have same motor, having a hard time finding neutral, goes back and forth from fwd to reverse , seems to skip over neutral. Sometimes the throttle only button sticks in, but fwd and reverse work anyway.

I have the same motor and it works fine in throttle only mode but when engaged into gear will not reach high RPM and sounds bogged down? Andy suggestions? I have replaced fuel,Plugs,cleaned carb twice same problem. Thanks

Would love to ask that as you label them with the date, if you could also add a sequencing number, that would be helpful. I could then watch them in the proper sequence and likely follow more of your comments and learn a bit better. Thanks for doing the videos.
